Chapter 3
Georgia rubbed his eyes as the figure stepped closer to him, but sure enough they were still glowing. 'Maybe Florida's right, maybe I ought to get some more sleep,' they stepped close enough for him to be able to see them. They had had two stripes, one blue and one a light yellow.
He suddenly realized he hadn't said anything back to her yet, "A group of gators don't get lose everyday," he answered with a forced shrug, trying to make his voice seem casual. "I'm Georgia," when he said that, she stopped, and squinted at him, then she laughed a bit, "sorry when you said that I thought you were someone else," She said with a grin. "Anyway, why exactly do you have a cage full of, what did you call them again?"
"Gators?" He asked pointing to the cage. That caught him more than a bit by surprise. Even Northern states like Maine or Ohio knew what a gator was, despite not having any in their lands. She snapped her fingers, "yeah, gators. We don't really have anything like that where I'm from."
"Welp my brother has too many and sometimes they get lose. So me and my siblings have to go round them up. I'm still missing one actually, if you wanna come help me find it." She chuckled, "Sure, I got nothing else going on right now. Lead the way."
"Bye the way, you never said what your name is," Georgia asked. "Right, I forgot, sorry it's ▅▅▅▅▅▅." She said in a sing song voice. For the first time since Atlanta, Georgia did an actual, Genuine smile. "Alright then let's go."
