-Dino POV-

It's been a couple days now ever since Laff got infected.. and let me tell you, it hasn't been the most peaceful couple of days. Gulvic and Ryzo had been at each other ever since the incident with Nadwe and Woolf. They literally wrestled with each other, had competitions with each other, and have just been so annoying! The good thing though, is that they haven't been going after any of us, and if they have they give up because the other is annoying them too much. I guess it's a blessing and a curse. After Socks and Laff get back in control though, they are out of breath, and super tired.

At the moment, Gulvic and Ryzo were having another one of their.. screeching.. competitions. We learned that as soon as they start trash talking to each other, and they take a deep breath in, run out of the room and go down the hall if you don't want to be deaf for a week. Before they were about to let out another scream of extremely high frequencies, I stepped in and intervened.

"Hold it. Before you start screeching.. Again.. at least tell us why you are having these competitions in the first place?"

"Because SOMEONE needs to learn their place in this world, and know that I basically gave him life. Therefore he should OBEY me and NOT RUIN OUR PLANS."

"Oh, so it's my fault leaving a brand new infection to box in two fully grown humans with their tentacles that they just got?!"

"YOU COULD' VE AT LEAST TRIED! THERE WAS A REASON I INFECTED YOU! DON'T MAKE ME THINK THAT WAS A MISTAKE!"

It was obvious there was a growing tension between the two, and that it had to be stopped or else things might get a bit physical.

"And what does screeching have anything to do with.. knowing your.. place..?"

"Uhm.. it.. shows who can hold a scream the longest! Therefore how strong you are."

"I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure screaming has no correlation with strength.."

"And how would you know Dinosaur? It's not like you're infected like us!"

"Fine! I'll prove it.."

I then punched the wall as hard as I could. This was almost like a stress reliever for me, as I actually had a reason to be punching the wall. This actually made a shallow hole in the drywall.

Since when did I have this type of streng- oh yeah.. I'm a literal Dinosaur..

I'm not super used to seeing my own destruction, as I never cause it. I forgot how strong I really was. I looked back at the two infected, and they were amazed. Gulvic actually had a hint of regret and fear in his eyes, which I'm thankful for. At least he now knows what I'm capable of. I also think he wishes he infected me instead.. but, it's too late now. I may be a bit of a scaredy-cat sometimes.. but I can definitely pack a punch!

-Gulvic POV-

I was not expecting the dinosaur to punch through the wall.

HOLY CRAP, THAT'S ALOT OF POWER. I should've infected him instead..

"Alright, fine. You proved your point.. but we won't stop until after anoth-"

"GULVIC! THAT'S ENOUGH WITH THE SCREECHING! I'LL PROBABLY GO DEAF IF YOU DO IT ONE MORE TIME!"

"Well at least you wouldn't be able to hear your own voice.."

"AT LEAST MY VOICE DOESN' T SOUND LIKE A PAPER SHREDDER! Also, I have just one, simple, question. WHY HAVE YOU BEEN KILLING AND INFECTING OUR FRIENDS!?"

"Well if you're so strong why aren't you stopping me?"

I tried to put on the smuggest face I could ever have. I also made sure that there was some sarcasm and attitude in my face. I wanted to cover up the fact that I was actually a bit.. I think for the first time.. scared. The dinosaur then cast a look of pure hatred all directed at me, punched the wall a second time, and started breathing very heavily, as if he was hyperventilating, but I know he wasn't. I then heard one of the people from across the room quietly say,

"Alright.. uh.. if you don't want to hear one of the loudest dinosaur roars ever, I recommend leaving the room and going to where the weapon room is.. aka outside.."

The voice belonged to the crab one.. Tdh or whatever. I then saw Dino take a huge breath in, and so did I. Right after, the two of us produced the loudest sounds we could. Him, a roar, me, a roar-screech.

I honestly didn't even care that I felt light headed, that my ears were ringing, and that I was breathing about as heavy as him right after. He probably felt the same way.

"JUST STOP MESSING WITH US AND KILLING US ONE BY ONE."

"YOU KNOW THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!"

"DON' T YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO US?"

"OH, I HAVE PLENTY OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHAT I'M DOING!!"

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO YOURSELF?!"

"..."

We then stood in silence for a moment.

Am I doing things.. more things to myself that I don't even know about? No.. stop thinking that way.

We were just staring at each other with pure hatred in our eyes, breathing heavy like we had just run a marathon, both of us in a defensive stance, with about four humans, one vampire, one infected, and two ghosts watching us. After a couple more seconds, I ended it by just walking away.

But before I totally left, I gave the dinosaur a death look, and used all of my strength to punch the wall myself, which surprisingly didn't hurt at all! I left a hole that was probably about six inches deep. I was surprised with myself! But of course I didn't show it. That would make me seem weaker.. And I don't want to seem weak.. again. Emotion makes you weak and vulnerable to scars.. and I have plenty.

I then signalled Ryzo to come with me, and he followed. Our relationship is weird. One minute we can be arguing about nothing and the next we can be helping each other trying to kill the alive.

"Was the screeching and roar necessary? My host's ears are going to be hurting for days.."

"Well, are they technically your ears?"

"No..?"

"So why do you care?"

"Alright, alright. You got a point. Anyway, you never specified why we're trying to kill them."

"I'm pretty sure I did.."

"Well I'm pretty sure you didn't.."

I stayed silent as I didn't want to answer the question. But, of course, he kept pushing it like the annoying brat he had been acting like ever since I infected him. After about the sixth time of asking, I tried to use the same excuse I had been using. I tried to say it as calmly as I could so nothing would get extreme.

"Listen, I told you before, and I'm going to say it now..they are a virus. They've done things that are pure evil, and now they're going to get it back."

"What kinds of evil are we talking about?"

I took a sharp breath in, and said,

"Guess how many of us are still alive to this day.."

"I would think some big number.."

"Again."

"One billion?"

I could tell he was guessing. I turned around to face him.

"Two. Only two of us are left on this earth, and I don't want to go extinct and die. They killed almost all of us. It's a miracle I survived, and it's a mystery how they did it. Humans started to inhabit and spread around the globe like a disease. They deserve to die by our hands, just like we died to theirs."

Ryzo was just about to speak up when I started again.

"I watched the family I had die, and who I thought were my friends abandoned me when I was about to be killed. I learned the hard way. And if you are wondering why I never seem to have emotion, that's because I learned that emotion opens you up to weakness, and weakness means you'll get your heart broken. Weakness means you'll never succeed. People will never respect you and think you are a wuss. You'll be abandoned."

"..."

Ryzo seemed to be in awe of what I just described. That was until I realized that I was actually.. crying. We walked in silence until I got to where I wanted to be.

"See you later Ryzo.. if you have the chance, kill them while you can."

"Catch you later Gulvic. Thanks for telling me why we're doing this. I'll make sure to."

I offered him a small smile and closed the door to my host's room. I then started to look around out of curiosity. From what I saw, he seemed like he was a pretty good person, or at least.. he was. He seemed pretty organized and optimistic most of the time as well. I saw a ton of different possessions. I then saw one thing. It was a picture of him and his friends. This made me remember the times with my so-called friends. The ones that betrayed me when we were running away from the humans. They told them where I was hiding just to save their own skin. And it's bound to happen to my host. I let these thoughts go though, and just laid down on the bed and thought about my time being alive. Hundreds apon hundreds of years of being dormant, and then being basically brought back to life again with the main chemical that gives us energy and life. Thinking of the Unspoken War got me a bit stressed and worried for what might come in the future. This group seemed like a mix of brave and cowardly, strong and weak, and optimistic and pessimistic. Maybe history will repeat itself. Maybe it'll be totally different. Maybe the complete opposite. But I do know one thing. And that is that the future is what you make it.

-TBH POV-

It had been a couple minutes since Gulvic and Ryzo left, and Dino was still furious. Gulvic looked pretty mad after Dino screamed that last question, so I don't know if he was right, or what. After a couple more minutes, someone came into the doorway. It was Laff. He must've gotten control again, as he didn't have tentacles anymore.

Great thinking Captain-obvious..

I readjusted my crab claws on my hands and went over to him.

"Are you okay, Laff? Are you tired? Hurt?"

"No.. no, not at all! I just.. had a conver.. sation with.. him."

He was coughing up black just like last time. It must be a side effect of the infection after he gets control again.

"I'm guessing the him here is Gulvic or Ryzo.."

"Ryzo. He said that something.. will happen soon.. and it.. won't be pretty."

First Gulvic and now Ryzo? They're obviously planning something.

Later that night, it started to get a bit rainy out. A bit later, it started pouring out. Woolf checked the weather on his phone and it said that it was supposed to get worse from there. Winds up to 80 mph, up to 6 inches of rain, and most likely lightning. I like storms, but.. when they start getting violent, like this one, that's a whole different ball game.

It got dark pretty quickly, and it got pretty loud outside as well. Woolf kept getting notifications on his phone about fallen trees being reported in the area.

"Holy crap! This is one heck of a storm.."

That's when we all heard the first surge of thunder roll in. It practically shook the ground. Out the window, I saw a lightning strike not too far away.

"Gosh dang it! The storm knocked out the internet.."

It must've hit some power line, or a tree and it fell on one, because that is when the power went out. Everyone got a bit freaked out at first, probably because it was so sudden. But I freaked out because of what they have planned for tonight.

"Alright, everyone, calm down. I'll go look for the generator to power the base back up. I just need a flashlight."

"And if we can, two flashlights, so we can all have one, and Woolf can have one to go to the generator."

A couple minutes of attempting to find a flashlight go by when Nadwe and Laff finally find one.

"Found a flashlight!"

"Found a second!"

They both had night vision, so it made sense that they are the two that found some.

"Alright, now that we have them, does anyone want to come with me to go into the storage room?"

Nobody said anything, and it made sense! Socks or Gulvic still aren't here, so who knows where he could be. Heck, he could've been the one that turned off the power from the breaker.

"Alright then.. I'm going alone."

Woolf then started on his way towards the stairs to the basement.

"And, if I die, I want you all to know that I loved being your friend. I might die at a young age, sure, but at least I'll go down trying to help."

He then thought a second about going through with his decision, and slowly went down the stairs.
