3rd person P.O.V.
Jewel wanted to go to earth because she was curious about what it was like, but she had to do it in secret due to her over protective parents. She finally found her way to earth and started looking around. Meanwhile with Obsidian, he was escaping his very angry stepmother that was yelling and throwing things at him. Once he escaped his 'mother' he saw that he was somehow on earth. He was in a park in the same city that Jewel was in. They just happened to be in a town that was large enough that no one notices if someone was new, so no one cared that there were children walking around unsupervised.
Jewel walked to the park so she could explore more. That was when she first saw him. He was sitting by the fountain in the park looking around curiously at every thing. She walked over to him and introduced herself "Hi, my name's Jewel. What's yours?" she asked him. He looked around then pointed to himself "Me?" he asked as if she couldn't possibly be talking to him. "Who else silly?" she asked giggling. "I'm Obsidian." he mumbled. "You don't talk much do you?" she asked. He just looked down and remained silent. "Hey Obsidian... I have a question." Jewel said "What is it?" Obsidian replied. "Will you be my friend?" she asked quietly. "What is a 'friend'?" he asked confused "A friend is someone you really care about and cares about you a lot." she answered "Then yes, I will be your friend." he said quietly 'He's so quiet, I need to get him out of his shell, but how? Hmmm, I have an idea...' she thought to herself with a smile. Then she splashed him with water "What the!?" he yelled startled "Don't be so serious!" she giggled "Why you little!" he yelled splashing her back. "Hey!" she giggled.
In a matter of minutes, the two of them were laughing and having a splash fight.
Time skip to when they're done
"Hey Obsidian..." she said "Yeah?" he asked "Can I give you a nickname?" "Only if I can give you one." he said "Obsidian is a stone right?" she asked "Yeah, so?" he questioned "Your nickname is now stone." she exclaimed "You're joking, right?" "Nope!" "Then I'll give you a nickname based on your name to!" he said "Okay then." she answered. "Your nickname will be gem!" he exclaimed. (GEMSTONE!!! The ship!!!)

Time skip 6 years

Jewel's P.O.V.

Stone asked me to meet him at the park at night. I wonder what he wants.... When I finally got to the park he was waiting for me. Once he saw me, he waved me over and gestured for me to sit next to him. We started talking and joking around like always. I really like talking to him, and I feel like we really connected over these ten years. I actually have a small crush on him. Okay it's not a small crush, it's a big one. "So what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked curiously "Well I actually have something I wanted to talk to you about..." he said looking down. I can feel myself getting nervous, he hasn't acted shy around me since we first met... This must be a big deal. Before I can ask anything else he looks at me. (This is what happens)

Obsidian's P.O.V.
Once I told Jewel that she looked at me like her heart was crushed. "Why would you say that!" she yelled at me, and I could see tears in her eyes "Am I not good enough?" she asked, her voice barley a whisper. "What!? No! Your perfect!" I exclaimed "Then why?" she sounded so confused and hurt... I had to tell her, I was finally going to tell her my secret. "It's because-" I started only to get interrupted "You know what? It doesn't matter! What ever it is, we can get through it together. Because I'm going to be right here no matter what." she looked at me with determination in her eyes. I love that about her. Who am I kidding, I love HER. She's absolutely perfect. I don't stand a chance. An angel like her could never like me. Of course I've never seen or met an angel, but I'm sure she could put the best of them to shame.
