Our story begins with two children, one named Jewel the other named Obsidian. They are not ordinary children, in fact, they're anything but normal. Jewel is an angel. No I don't mean that figuratively, she is an actual angel. At this point in the story, she is a newborn child. The same with Obsidian, except he isn't an angel. In fact, he is the opposite of an angel. That's not the end of it either. Jewel is the daughter of God, and Obsidian is the son of the devil. Jewel was adopted by two higher level angels due to her fathers wishes, but Obsidian was raised by his father. The two of them grow up with two very different childhoods.
