Since we couldn't take the car straight away, we had to go somewhere and wait.

Soon it became night, and we began making our way to the car.

Along the way Mommy coughed. She wiped her muzzle with her hoof. Mommy jumped and we stayed against the wall.

I noticed there was blood, on the hoof.

She gestured for me to shush. I followed her command. We both snuck over to the car. She got in the front. I got in the back.

She started the car and she zoomed out of the drive way. She laughed. I was still confused on why he kicked us out.

He always threatened to kick us out....but those were empty threats......

Right?

     I stayed on that topic till Mom,pulled into a ally way, she told me to get out the car, which I did.

     She went to the trunk taking out four pillows, and two blankets. She got in the back seat, and I got in laying my head on her lap.

Soon I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up to the sound of a trunk honking. I looked to see my mom was driving and it was sunrise.

"Mommy?" I said wiping my eyes,my hair was a bit messy. "Yes, hun?" She said, with a slight cough, she wiped her muzzle with her hoof again.

   I noticed blood dripped from her hoof.

"Why are we driving so early?" I said, looking a bit worried at my mom. I looked in the car mirror, seeing her eyes showed she was weak, but she still smiled. "Because. We need to get away from here.....he could be looking for us." Her pupils deflated.

   I was mostly confused on why she would think that, but I decided to stop thinking about it since it made my head hurt......or maybe because I had just woken up.

     I decided to try and go back to sleep. But I had no Avail, what so ever.

I sat up, deciding to watch the sunrise.  It was the the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I felt the car turn.

    The sign down the road said 'PonyVille.  1 mile.' I actually have heard of that place. Its one of those small towns, but big houses. I geuss we're moving there.

  I looked at my, and my Mom's mane. "Mommy," I started. "We can't walk into that place looking like this!" I said. Motioning toward both of our unhealed wounds. My back still was bleeding a bit, and it was blown up big, like a cherry. My hoof was no better.

     She coughed while I saw some hair fall from her mane. "I teleported a few things from the house here, I have soap, a hair brush, and all of our clothes. And a few of your toys. All we beed is water, and some peroxide." She smiled.

   I replied with a simple 'Okay.' And looked back out the window seeing a few new ponies. A cyan pegasus, a orange earth pony, and a white unicorn. The white one waved. The rest soon noticed and also waved. I waved back, with a small smile.

    My mom parked her car and we got out asking other ponies if we could use there bathrooms for just a second.

  Most of them said no, then a green stallion with brown spikey hair nodded. "Go ahead. You two look like you need it." My mom smiled. "Thank you sir." And we walked looking for a bathroom.

      We passed a room. I saw a small filly, about the same age as me. She had a light brown coat, with a darker brown mane. We both locked eyes, and it felt as if time stopped.

     Her huge purple eyes, we staring right into my light pink ones.

    My mom soon grabbed my hoof and  took me to the bathroom we found. That small gilly was still in my mind. I couldn't get her out.

'Who was that mare?.....and why did she stare right back at me....' I thought congused mom started brushing my long brown, yellow, and pink mane.

  "Hun? Earth to Mel?" A hoof waved me back into reality. "Huh?" I looked around. "I said, aren't you happy?" We can finally clean our wounds and not look like trash." She smiled. I nodded with a small smile.

    I tried to clear my mind, butthat filly would leave it. I walked past the room again, but she wasn't there. I frowned a bit.

    "Alright. You two be careful." The stallion said about to close the door. "Wait!" A small white filly, with blue, and a slightly darker blue mane, stopped us. "Do you two have a plave to stay?" It said. I looked at my mom, seeing if she would be honest or not.

    She looked right back at me. I looked at the filly and the stallion. "Well, n-no......my Daddy threw us out. Literally." I said holding up my damaged hoof. The both of them gasp. I looked up at my mom. She sighed a nodded, with a cough.

    "Dad we can't just leave them!" The filly looked at her dad, who nodded. "We have two extra bedrooms. Each of you may live in one." He had a smile. My mom gasped with smile. "Thank you so much Mr...." My mom started.

       "Neon. Neon Lights." He smiled shaking her hoof. The small filly looked at me and smiled. "I'll show you the rooms, while my dad gets to know your mom." She smiled wider. I followed her.

I soon chose the smaller room out of the two. She looked at me. "So? What do you think?" She asked. I hugged her tight, tears of joy running down my face.

"Thank you. So much."
