Mariah watched Itachi knowing that this whole situation is killing him. They both know that Sasuke will still go after the village no matter what. He tried his best convincing his little brother to abandon his revenge but it was useless. She knew that once Itachi stopped the Edo Tensei he will be gone once again. Her second phase of the plan was replaced by Itachi and now phase three failed. She hoped that Itachi would knock some sense into Sasuke and convince him to come back. She looked back to Sasuke still sensing the hatred in his heart that was towards the Leaf Village.

She thought back to what Tadashi said to her back to what felt like years ago even though it wasn't that long. "He'll never come back Mariah, he's bent on revenge. He'll always choose revenge over you."

"He doesn't love you Mariah....he'll use you again." I heard a voice say.

"Will you get out of here?" I thought.

"I can never leave Mariah......I am you."

"No you're not,"

"Yes I am, I'm just all the hatred that you hold inside you."

"No, I don't hold that much hatred in me to create another person."

"Yes you do......you just don't realize it."

"What could I possibly hate so much to create you?"

"The deaths of your clan, the village, Kabuto, Madara, Orochimaru, me, yourself, and most of it is towards Sasuke."

"I don't hate the village, myself, and especially Sasuke."

"Of course you hate Sasuke. It's only natural to hate him. He hurt your hand, he broke your heart, he almost killed you, he used you for power, he proved that he cared more about revenge than you, and he tried to hurt you. Anyone in your shoes would hate him. Hate is more powerful than love my dear; it's a fact."

"Half of that was my own fault! And its love that is more powerful than hate."

"Think what you want Mariah. You're not even in love with the boy; it's only stupid teen love. It's not your heart talking....it's  just hormones. You think you love him but you really don't."

"What?"

"You don't love him. I am you and can feel everything that you do which includes emotions. I have a separate mind though which means I feel what you feel and I don't love Sasuke."

Mariah took her words into consideration.

"She could be right...........we're too young for love anyway..........we started dating at thirteen...THIRTEEN! That's WAY too young to be dating and kissing. What was I thinking?............I probably thought that I was in love with Sasuke and he felt the same way because I just wanted to be loved. I haven't felt love since my clan died.........He was filling the void." Mariah thought. "I guess you're right."

"I'm always right."

"No Mariah don't listen to her!" Kurayami shouted making me wince.

"Kurayami........she's right....I can't possibly be in love with Sasuke."

"Yes you are! Think about it! When he left your heart was broken!"

"That could've meant anything Kurayami. I was sad because I lost someone I cared about since he was my teammate."

"Please Mariah.....don't listen to her. She's trying to manipulate you!"

"She's right though."

"Mariah..."

"Shut up cat! Can't you see that she doesn't want to listen to you."

"Mariah look she doesn't want me to talk some sense into you!"

"That's it cat....you're getting out of my space."

She then felt Kurayami being pushed from her mind and soon they weren't fused anymore. She was laying right in front of her staring up at Mariah with worried eyes.

"Mariah.....you're stronger than this. You shouldn't let her manipulate you; she's wrong." She said.

She stared blankly at her.

"Mariah.......remember on your birthday when Sasuke asked you out? Even though you looked like you didn't care I could tell that you were happy. When you came back after he kissed you...you were ecstatic. Whenever you guys kissed you felt sparks right? That means that you two love each other and are meant to be."

"What was I thinking? Why did I even listen to her and not Kurayami?!"

"What did you do to me?" Mariah thought.

"Nothing really, I know what you're thinking which means I know that you doubt everyday about your relationship with Sasuke. All you needed was someone to tell you that and you believed it right away. Ha pathetic human."

"Why do you say pathetic human? If you're me then you're human."

"I'm nothing but a demon. Since Tadashi is out of the picture I made my way here. You've always had two demons and since Tadashi was more powerful he always could communicate with you while I was in the deep recesses of your mind. I won't be easily swayed like Tadashi was. You can't make me good like you did with him since I wasn't originally human.

I was awakened by all of your anger and hatred. If you didn't hold such strong hatred towards people then you wouldn't have awakened me and I would still be deep in your mind."

"Why did you say that you are me but just the negative emotions?"

"Technically I am you since I'm a demon and wasn't a real person."

 "Is it possible for you to leave me alone?"

"I'm here to stay human."

"Great...........another pest to deal with."

"HEY!" All the tailed beasts yelled causing me to wince.

"It's true, I have all of you in my head and with your constant bickering it's giving me a headache."

Finally getting back to the real world Mariah noticed that Sasuke was giving her a worried look. She sent him a questioning look which he turned away from then she directed her attention to Itachi. He glanced her way then back towards Kabuto.

"With this we can put the dead to rest." Itachi said.

He took off Kabuto's glasses.

"The war's end is finally at hand."

"Then....that means you, too, brother." Sasuke pointed out.

"Itachi..........." Mariah said.

"I...once more I was able to protect the village....as Konoha's Uchiha Itachi. I have no regrets."

"Why?! After what they did to you why you still go so far for them?!! I can forgive you.....but I can never forgive Konoha!! And you say you have no regrets?! I turned our this way only because of you!!" Sasuke shouted.

Itachi then thought of Naruto and looked towards Mariah.

"They'll be able to help him hopefully.........if Mariah can't....Naruto can..........She's already losing faith in him........It's in her eyes." Itachi thought.

"I'm not the one who can change you.......So, the very least that I can do is put a stop to this Jutsu. In order so that I won't make light what's been entrusted to Naruto."

Itachi then placed his hand over Kabuto's eyes and opened them making him look into his eyes.

"Teach me the seal to undo the Edo Tensei technique." Itachi commanded.

 No why a cliff hanger! i bet in the next manga chapter its going to focus on the Kage fight which will cause me to make up my own ending hehe wont that be fun?
