Journey to the Sand Village

So now here's the sequel XD i really hope that you guys like it!

Make sure you've read Why Me?

A young girl with long silver hair that goes down to the middle of her back with pure light blue eyes that looks like a cats was running in the forest. The wind was blowing through her hair and caressing her flawless stern face. She jumped from branch to branch to reach her destination.

She was wearing an Akatsuki cloak stained with blood. She was taller than she was when she was younger. She was about 5'7 and was very thin but it was clear that her body was toned. After years with the Akatsuki she didn't look like a child anymore but a young beautiful woman. It's just not her looks that changed but her personality.

She was at the border of the fire country and wind heading towards the base after another assassination mission. She reached a river with a bolder in front of her; the bolder had a seal on it so she did the hand signs necessary to open the base door. Only Akatsuki members can open it because of their rings.

She has the ring of Sora or sky which was originally Orochimaru's ring when he was in Akatsuki. Her first mission was to infiltrate Orochimaru's hide out while everyone was away and steal the ring which she successfully achieved without seeing anyone. The bolder slowly opened and revealed the other Akatsuki members.

"MARIAH-CHAN!" The hyper newest Akatsuki assistant shouted.

He ran towards Mariah getting ready to give her a hug. He jumped in the air ready to pounce on her but she activated her shield causing the Akatsuki assistant to hit the shield head first. He slowly slid off of the shield and landed on the ground. He groaned in pain for a little bit and you could hear snickers from the other Akatsuki members.

"Tobi, how many times do I have to tell you don't touch me." Mariah said in an emotionless voice.

She stepped over him and started to walk towards the other members.

"Heh right when you walk in you give us a show," Kisame said to Mariah.

"How did your mission go?" Pein questioned.

"Easy, he didn't stand a chance." Mariah replied.

"Good, you will go on a mission with Sasori and Deidara to retrieve the Ichibi. You'll leave tomorrow."

Soon everyone left the base to do their own missions while Mariah, Sasori, and Deidara stayed at the base getting ready for the mission. This will be the second tailed beast mission that Mariah has gone on.

The next day they set out to retrieve Gaara of the desert.

(Mariah's POV)

"Hm Gaara huh?" I asked.

"Is there something wrong Mariah un?" Deidara asked.

"No, I just haven't heard that name in a while." I said. "So he became the Kazekage, I never expected someone like him to lead a village."

"The world is full of surprises." Sasori muttered.

"I suppose it is."

"Do you both have enough clay?" Sasori asked us.

"Of course," I said.

"Heh of course I do. I always carry enough art un."

"That stuff that you make isn't art. How can anyone appreciate it when they only see it for a few seconds." Sasori argued.

"No, what you call art is ridiculous! True art is when it lasts seconds not forever. How can you appreciate something that will last forever so you can see it anytime you want?"

"These idiots are going to be the death of me." I muttered.

After a few days of the two artists bickering, we arrived at the sand village. The village was in the middle of the desert surrounded by a wall made out of sand with indents where their guards would stay.

"So....The ones Orochimaru manipulated are up ahead un?..........It seems for some reason, he leaked out information and turned into a traitor..un." Deidara said breaking the silence.

"We don't have a choice, it seems. I don't know what he's like after using that jutsu either. Are you sure it is alright just with that bag? Our opponent uses the power of human sacrifice."

"My jutsus are all artistic....so I came up with my favorite, number 18...un because our opponent is...the one tail un."

"Don't get too cocky Deidara, he's strong." I told him.

"Hmph it's just some brat un,"

"He's the same age as me stupid."

"What did you say!?" He said glaring at me.

"I called you stupid,"

"That's it I don't care who you are you're going to know how to respect people!"

"DEIDARA! Stop this nonsense now! You know how she is, she loves messing with you and the others." Sasori warned.

I looked at them through the steams of my hat smirking at them. It's true, I love messing with the Akatsuki and pissing them off; especially Deidara and Hidan. We finally reached the village gates and saw a whole row of guards. I heard them speaking to each other talking about us.

"Captain Yuura!" A guard said.

"Don't worry, it'll be over soon." Yuura said.

He then killed every single guard there. We approached him cautiously. The gate to the village was long and jagged with more posts.

"Well done.....You remembered me?" Sasori asked.

"Yes sir!" He bowed. "Of course Sasori-sama!"

"Alright. If you'd forgotten, I might have had to use my jutsu...un." Deidara said.

"Since your memories have returned, you are my faithful servant." Sasori said.

"Alright then, here we go," Deidara said as the mouths on his hands started to chew.

He started to walk forward and his hand made a bird.

"Sasori, your husband should watch to..un."

I couldn't help but chuckle at that. It was just super funny.

He threw the bird and did a hand sign which made it grow bigger.

"Mariah, you can watch too but closer up. We will attack the village from above." Deidara announced.

He jumped onto the bird, so did I. We both took off our hats and turned to look at Sasori.

"How is it? This artistic modeling...un."

"I can't wait."

I rolled my eyes at them as we set off to the village hidden in the sand. We flew above the village examining the layout and counting the guards. Deidara started to take pictures with his eye thingy.

"1, 2, 3. There are three sky guards..un"

"Hmph can I do the honors?" I asked.

"Sure, However this village's artistic design isn't too shabby un."

"Then it's defiantly worth destroying," I smirked. "Let's make it a sneak attack then."

I made spiders and dropped them near the guards. The spiders hopped onto the guards and they freaked out.

"Wha-what the hell is this weird thing?!" A guard shouted.

"Weird thing? You've got no taste. No wonder stupid people can't comprehend art......un." Deidara thought.

I then made the spiders exploded on the guards' faces. The bird flew over the village and we jumped off it onto a building.

"Infiltration successful. Huh?"

We looked up and saw Gaara standing in front of us with his arms crossed. He looked different then he did all those years ago. He got taller and the blood lust in his eyes was gone. When he looked at Deidara seeing anger but when his eyes went to me I saw confusion. I looked to my right and saw sand flying towards us. We both jumped onto the bird out of the way before we got hit.

"How did you know it was me un?" Deidara questioned.

"In this desert no bird like that exists." Gaara replied.

"Heh, he got you Deidara. You should do your research next time." I said.

"Shut up! Anyway seems like my sneaking in was a failure un. Thanks to that, I don't need to search for you un."

Gaara started to hold his arms up. Deidara and I started to make little birds while Gaara made a huge sand tsunami.

"Hmph as expected he's using the landscape to his advantage; it's very risky." I said.

We released the birds towards the sand but it didn't do anything. Then Gaara sent a huge sand hand towards us.

"They used an unusual exploding thing....it's also a homing type." Gaara thought.

"He's starting to figure us out, watch out for the sand it's dangerous." I warned.

"It sounds like you have experience fighting him un."

"Yeah, we were in the Chuunin exams together and I fought him. He nearly killed me back then."

Sand arms started to surround us, we made more birds and had them go towards Gaara. When the smoke cleared we saw a sphere of sand around Gaara with an eye outside of it.

"The third eye," I said.

"A what un?"

"Third eye, he can still see us with it."

"It's like the eggshell protects the inner contents un."

"I can get threw it but that would mean blowing my cover. Behind us!" I said.

Behind us a huge thing of sand covering us.

"This is bad un!"

"Naw it's freaking awesome!" I shouted irritated.

We flew through a small opening and started to fall through the air but Deidara's arm got caught  by the sand. I flipped in the air and landed on my own bird. Deidara's arm was completely crushed by the sand then jumped out of it. He landed back onto his bird. I made my bird fly towards Gaara. He used his sand to ground me but I was too fast. The bird flew above him so I made exploding spiders to drop down. He used his sand to protect himself then it shot out towards me stabbing my bird.

We started to fall in the air about to be caught by Garra's sand. I kicked my legs off using the bird to get further from it. I made a hand sign causing the bird to explode making the sand fall to the ground.

"You're good un." Deidara said reaching into his bag.

I smirked as I landed onto a building.

"He's going to use that huh?" I thought.

I looked down and saw the villagers watching helplessly.

"That's it, I'm going to destroy this town un. To be stopped from below would put me in such a bad mood. That and I'm tired of your expressionless face; you're just like her." He said pointing at me.

"Hey, what's that suppose to mean?" I said from behind him with an emotionless voice.

He jumped and turned around.

"I liked you better when you first joined the Akatsuki. You at least had expressions but now you never have emotions."

I made my own bird to fly out of range from Deidara's attack. He looked away from me and looked back at Gaara. He released the number 18 bomb and it went towards the village. Gaara's eyes widened.

"What the hell is that?!" A villager shouted.

"This is bad!! Spread out!" Someone ordered.

"You're too late!" Deidara and I shouted.

The bomb exploded over the village; the explosion was so bright I had to cover my eyes. I frowned; even before the smoke cleared I knew that they all survived. When the smoke cleared a huge sand shield was over the village. I then smirked because Gaara fell for my trap he was too busy protecting the village to notice that he was open for a surprise attack. When the bird was in view he noticed it but it was too late to react. I made it explode near his face.

"As you'd expect, that specially made sand's guard sure is fast." Deidara said. "But, just as I thought."

He then made a hand sign and his creations started to crawl through the ball of sand from when Gaara crushed his arm. They exploded and the sand started to crumble. Gaara was hovering in the air while the sand was slowly falling.

"Heh a typical Kazekage to use his last bit of strength to protect the village."

"It would've been so much easier to just let it fall on them." I finished.

"Gaara!?" Kankuro shouted.

Gaara started to fall then Deidara caught him with his bird.

"Not killing him was a bit harder than I imagined but...our job here is done..mission complete."

Gaara's ultimate defense started to crumble as we flew away. We then landed next to Sasori with grace. I made my bird disappear.

"You're late...I said not to keep me waiting." Sasori said angered.

"It's ok. This guy was strong un."

"That's why I said to be better prepared."

"Let's go guys," I said interrupting their little fight.

Deidara jumped down from his bird and we both put on our hats and started to walk away.

"Did you set the traps?" I asked.

"Of course, I had plenty of time." Sasori said annoyed.

"You're always in a bad mood. Why do you even stay in that puppet? You should stretch your legs once in a while and you look sooooo much better."

"How did you know?"

"Uh, how many times do I have to explain it to you guys? I can read minds so I know what you are thinking."

I then stopped.

"It seems we have a visitor." I said.

"Wait!" Kankuro ordered. "Return Gaara to me!"

"Deidara, you and the kid go on ahead." Sasori ordered.

Kankuro then took out three scrolls and summoned three puppets.

"Oh three puppets this time?" I said jumping onto the bird.

"Puppet jutsu?" Sasori questioned.

"Right...we'll head on..un."

"Like I'll let you go!" Kankuro said sending crow towards us.

I activated my shield in front of us but before it touched the shield Sasori grabbed it with his tail causing his hat to fall.

"Since I don't like waiting or making people wait...I'll end this quickly." Sasori said.

Deidara and I flew away until we got to a rock shielding us from the sand storm. We waited for a while for him sitting under the rock which was very boring.

"How long have we been waiting?" I asked.

"A while un,"

It was silent between Deidara and I. I usually have nothing to talk about with them but I sometimes try.

"How's your arm?" I asked.

"Hurts like a bitch. What do you think?" He replied angered.

"I can heal that you know."

"I'm waiting for Kakuzu to sew it back."

"Fine whatever you think is best."

Finally I felt Sasori coming towards us. I got to my feet and so did Deidara.

"You're late Sasori-dana...un"

"Don't be so irritated. We got you target one tail after all. Now it's my turn but...we don't even know where it is. It'd be so much easier if it just comes after us..."

"Yeah...Speaking of which, which Jinchuuriki is Sasori-dana's opponent?"

"Well..my opponent is anyone.. As long as I get one Jinchuuriki then there's no problems right?" Sasori said all creepy.

"Enough talking, we've kept them waiting long enough."

(Kakashi's POV)

After Sakura healed Kankuro he was perfectly fine; he just needed rest.

"Um..excuse me, there is something I would like to ask. What came of the pursuit of the Akatsuki after that?" I asked.

"Kankuro went alone after them. There were no others." Baki told me.

"Then, have we completely lost them?"

"Yes....we have."

"Hmm well, could you please guide me to where Kankuro was fighting? Though I might not seem it, I am an expert at pursuit...Even of a small amount of their scent is left behind."

"That is...not necessary." A voice said.

We turned around to see Kankuro sitting up.

"There are three enemies...Two abducted Gaara..you should follow Gaara's scent. Even assuming they split up, the other caught a bit of their clothing on Karasu's hand." He explained.

"Making a success from a failure...You are indeed a shinobi of the sand." I said.

"Kankuro are you ok?!" Temari asked.

"Yeah...I'm feeling a bit better now.." I answered.

"Kankuro are you absolutely sure that one of the three you followed was Sasori?" Lady Chiyo asked.

"Chiyo-baasama, and Ebizou-Jiisama?"

"What about that...Kankuro?" Ebizou asked.

"Yeah..it was Sasori of the red sand....he said it himself."

"Sasori of the red sand? May we hear more about the Akatsuki? Please?" I asked.

"Uzumaki Naruto, please save my brother." Kankuro pleased.

"Leave it all to me! Because o will be Hokage someday too! So I'll secure an advance favor from the Kazekage."

I smiled at him. He sure has grown and despite what he has been through he always manages to keep a smile on his face.

(Mariah's POV)

We finally reach the base. We stood before it and did the necessary and signs which made the bolder lift up.

"You're late. Prepare it immediately." Pein ordered.

"Stop complaining, at least we got it right?" I said walking past him.

"The Jinchuuriki was stronger than I thought un."

We set Gaara down and Pain performed hand signs which made the huge weird ass demon shackle tail beast sucking thing rise from the ground.

"Right," Pain said making a hand seal. "Assemble."

Everyone started to appear in holographic form on top of the fingers. Sasori, Deidara, and I jumped up onto our spots; mine was on the left pinkie.

"Now, let us begin this." Pain announced.
