"What are we going to do now Mariah?" Kurayami asked.

"I forgot to do something.........something important." Mariah muttered.

"What do you have to do?"

"Before all of this happened.....before Itachi died he wanted me to show Sasuke something......."

"What was it?"

"Why didn't you do it when you had the chance???!!!!" Kurayami shouted.

"Because maybe I was talking to so many people in my head? I had other stuff going on that I couldn't even remember my own name. I'm sorry that I was forgetful. But I have to give him this information.............it might be something to get Sasuke back on our side."

"Well how are we going to get back to Sasuke? You don't have a lot of chakra left."

"I know I don't...........I guess we'll have to either wait for him to get here or we wait until I have enough chakra......whichever comes first."

"What about the battle?"

"They can handle it......Naruto is strong enough."

"What about the people who can't?"

"Don't worry.....it's all part of the plan."

"I don't like your plan......sure you have phase one and two done and phase three is coming up but I don't like phase five. You could die."

"If it makes everyone happy then I'd gladly give my life for them."

"What about the people who care for you!"

"I'll finally be free!" The demon laughed.

"It's my decision and there's only a slight chance that I'll die."

I didn't have anything to reply to what she said. Yes it was true that if I did die it would be tragic for a lot of people.

"I almost have enough chakra." I said.

"So you're going to leave?" Kurayami asked.

"Yeah.....can you stay with Tadashi?"

"Mariah......he's dead...." Kurayami said silently.

"............I know........but I don't want his body to get hurt because I want to give him a proper burial...."

"You know that's not the reason."

"I know but still keep an eye on him."

"Fine.......go get your man." She said with a smirk.

I soon disappeared and reappeared in front of Sasuke as he was running through the forest. As he saw me he stopped on the branch that he was on staring at me surprised that I came back.

"Why did you come back?" Sasuke asked.

"I have to show you something."

"What is it?"

"Itachi wanted me to show you the truth. He wanted me to tell you that what Tobi and Danzou has told you about him is all true."

Sasuke's eyes widened.

"There's no need to lie anymore....he wanted me to show you the truth through his memories which he showed me."

The scene changed to Itachi and Shisui by a river.

"There is no way to stop the Uchiha's coup d'état anymore....A civil war will happen in the leaf, and the other countries will take advantage of it to attack....It will turn into a war." Shisui said.

He turned to face Itachi revealing his right eye which was bleeding.

"When I tried to stop the Coup D'etat by using Kotoamatsukami, Danzou stole my right eye. He doesn't trust me....I decided to protect the village my own way. He'll probably try to get my left eye as well....I'll give It to you before that happens."

He then took out his left eye holding it in his hand.

"You're my best friend, the only one I can ask this...please protect the village...and the Uchiha's name."

The scene switched to Itachi kneeling before the counsil.

"We can't allow it anymore! They call it revolution, but if their real intention is to take back political power, we'll have to treat them as rebels." Koharu shouted.

"Koharu, wait! Don't jump in conclusions." The third Hokage said.

"However, Hiruzen, the Uchiha aren't going to stop. We must make our move right away to avoid confusion....including the unknowing children." Danzou said.

"Don't say this in front of Itachi! Besides, if a civil war starts it will be hard to fight against the Uchiha, we must think of a strategy."

"It's a race against time....we must act before they do anything. If we and our ANBU team up together we can just make a surprise attack on them and end it right away."

"Uchiha used to be our comrades in arms...I want to use words and not power against them. I'll think of a strategy. Itachi, try to gain as much time as you can."

The scene switched again to just Itachi and Danzou outside in front of a building.

"The third talked like that, but he will act if the leaf needs to be protected that's the way he is. If that happens, even he, as the Hokage, will have to take drastic measures. Whether the war happens or not...once they've tried to make a coup d'état the Uchiha will necessarily be annihilated....your unknowing little brother included. But by acting before it happens, he can still be saved.

If the Coup happens, your younger brother will see everything too....he will see his whole clan be destroyed by a shinobi of the Leaf, and will unmistakably want to get revenge on the village....and in that case, he will have to be killed too."

"Are you threatening him?" Itachi questioned.

"No....I want you to choose. You can either stand on the Uchiha's side, participate in the Coup D'etat and be destroyed together with you clan....or stand on the Leaf's side, save your brother before the Coup happens and help destoy the Uchiha clan.

To protect the village we must absolutely stop the Coup before everything falls into chaos. And the only one that can do this job is a double spy working for both the Uchiha and the Leaf,...In other words you, Itachi. Itachi...it will be a hard mission for you....but in exchange for that, I can let your younger brother live. I'm sure you too want to protect the village....do you accept this mission?"

Once again the scene changed to Itachi facing Madara.

"How did you know about me?" Madara questioned.

"You were able to slip through the Uchiha's defense and even look at the secret stone inside Nakano sanctuary. Only the Uchiha know that place. After that I examined your actions...and tried to understand who you are and what your goal is." Itachi concluded.

"....Then this will be easy....you probably know that I'm an Uchiha and I hold a grudge towards the clan and the village."

"You must follow my conditions....I'll help you get revenge on the Uchiha...but must not lay a hand on the village....or Sasuke Uchiha."

The scene changed to the night of the massacre.

Itachi was standing behind his parents.

"I see....so you joined their side..." Fugaku said.

"Father...Mother....I..."Itachi started.

"We know, Itachi..." Mikoto interrupted.

"..Itachi...promise me that..You will take care of Sasuke." Fugaku sadly said.

Itachi's facial expression changed. Tears were flowing down his face and he started to tremble.

"I know," He whispered.

"Don't hesitate...it's the path you chose..our pain will only last an instant, unlike yours....the way we think is different, but I'm still proud of you......you really are gentle."

It took Itachi all his strength to stab them...his sword trembled but finally passed through them ending their lives.

The scene then switched to Itachi and Mariah standing in a forest facing each other.

"Why did you show me this?" Mariah asked.

"I know that I won't get the chance to show Sasuke this so I'm depending on you to show him."

"When should I? After you're gone?"

"No....when the time is right,"

"Is there anything you want me to tell him?" Mariah asked.

"Tell him to stop lying....I know that he will find out the truth sooner or later from someone and that it is all true.....I always lied to him telling him to forgive me."

"Itachi.....say it like you're actually talking to him..." Mariah interrupted.

He was silent for awhile but the spoke up.

"I always kept you far away. With my own hands...I didn't want..to involve you...But now I think....That maybe you would have been able to change our father, mother....the Uchiha...If I had faced you from the start....tried to see things from your point of view and talked with you about the truth......but I failed and no matter what I say now, it still won't reach you. That's why I'm finally going to say what I really think. You don't have to forgive me......no matter what you decide you do from now on....I will love you forever."
