Everyone was cheering and congratulating Naruto. I looked at him as they were throwing him in the air and catching him and repeating the process. I smiled at this; part of Naruto's dream has come true which was to be acknowledged by everyone. My smile soon faded as I felt Zetsu's presence I looked around and spotted him outside the village on a tree branch. We locked eyes and he smiled then disappeared.

Once everyone was done cheering Sakura led us to a tent which had and unconscious Tsunade. I looked at her and saw that the diamond on her forehead was gone and that she looked her age. 

"She used Katsuyu to protect the village....and she's been unconscious ever since. I don't know when she'll wake up." Sakura explained.

"Tsunade.." Naruto said sadly.

I walked out of the tent and with the little chakra that I had I made a clone.

"Go and find out where the village high ups are having the meeting and listen in on the conversation. Don't get caught." I ordered.

She nodded then disappeared.

(Clone's POV)

I found them and concealed my chakra as I fazed into the walls to hear the conversation.

"We plan to continue working with the other countries against the threat posed by Akatsuki." The old man elder said.

"After what's happened to the village.....the land of fire will put every effort into getting it rebuilt. First we'll have to come up with a budget.....and consider  the strain on the other countries." A man said.

"There's something else we should consider first. Who will be the next Hokage?" Danzo spoke up.

"Can we not wait until Tsunade has recovered?" Man lady asked.(srry couldn't resist.)

"My lord....Tsunade is still in a coma. We can't decide on a plan for the village when we don't know when she will wake up. Besides, she is partially responsible for Konaha's destruction." The old woman elder said.

"I'd thought to choose Jiraiya.....I liked him, but he's gone now. So who shall it be?" The feudal lord said.

"Well...." Danzo started.

"I nominate Hatake Kakashi!" Shikamaru's dad said.

"Oh, son of the white fang eh? Yes! Why not? What do you all think?"

"He's well known, powerful, and respected, it's true...."

"But don't you think he's too young?"

"Minato was even younger.."

"Who was his teacher?"

"The fourth Hokage."

"The fourth Hokage was Jiraiya's pupil, and Jiraiya was the pupil of the third Hokage! There's no problem then..."

"The 3rd Hokage's teachings have as good as destroyed the village!" Danzo argued.

"Damn, scary much?" I thought.

"Akatsuki's leader, the man who destroyed the village, was once Jiraiya's pupil. This is the result of sympathizing with the other countries and giving them power! That sort of thing is well!! That weakness led to the sand's betrayal..and allowed Orochimaru's plan to destroy Konaha. It led to the formation of Akatsuki, and led to Sasuke, the last remaining Uchiha leaving Konaha for his own secret purposes.

The third Hokage was Orochimaru's sensei, Kakashi was Sasuke's sensei and they both betrayed us. Not to mention Mariah Kira who I have been informed is still alive! She's been powerful from the day she was born but the Hokage wanted her to live. The Akatsuki killed her clan looking for her which led to Orochimaru experimenting on her; plus she was always close to him. She was Kakashi's student also and you all saw it during the Chuunin exams! The blood lust in her eyes as she killed her opponent!

My sources tell me that while we all believed that she was dead she has been with the Akatsuki! She was probably in on the attack on the village! What kind of Hokage do we need now!? One who can put an end to this wretched situation who can bring change to the ninja world and reinforce the laws that govern us. That man is me!!"

"Mariah Kira is no traitor!" Shikamaru's dad argued. "The Akatsuki's policy is that you either join or die! They nursed her back to health then asked her to join them! She was a child who didn't want to die so she had no choice but to join! During the attack on the village she risked her life to help us! She used her own Renningan to save everyone out of harm's way and she died protecting Naruto!"

"Silence, maybe we should let Danzo take care of things, my lord."

"We can't let his fanaticism-"

"All right, it's decided......Danzo, you will be the 6th Hokage!"

"Fuck no!! He can't be the Hokage!" I thought.

I then disappeared to report back to my creator.

(Mariah's POV)

I was sitting by wood with Naruto and Sakura.

"Mariah, are you sure you're fine?" Sakura questioned me.

"No I'm in severe pain." I thought.

"I'm perfectly fine," I lied.

"Okay...." She said unsure.

"There's so much I want to tell Tsunade...." Naruto said with his arms crossed.

"Don't worry, I'm sure she'll wake up soon! She's the Hokage, after all...she's a strong woman! She'll be fine!" Sakura said.

"Long time no see, Naruto Sakura Mariah!" A voice shouted.

We turned to see Inari and Tazuna. I wondered how they didn't recognize me when I saw them with 'Tobi' but I realized that since then, my hair was now mostly black with silver tips.

"I never thought I'd see you heroes again, Naruto!" Inari said.

"Are you?" Sakura started.

"Inari and Tazuna!" They both said.

"Inari....you're all grown up! And you look even older gramps." Naruto shouted.

"Give me a break..." Tazuna said.

"I'm a carpenter now. We're here to help rebuild the village and I thought I'd come and say hi to you guys while I'm here." Inari explained. "You look so pretty, Sakura."

"Oh really?" Sakura said blushing.

"Mariah, you look like you're in pain. Are you okay?"

"Um yeah it happened when I was fighting, I'm completely healed." I lied.

 "I'm sorry about what happened with Gato but thanks to you, the land of waves is a prosperous nation now." Tazuna apologized.

"So now It's our turn to help you out!"

"Inari...thanks..." Naruto said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Heh!? Oh you're here already?" Kakashi questioned coming into view.

"Hey, Kakashi! We came as soon as we heard Konaha was in trouble!"

"What is it? If there's anything you need, just let me know."  Kakashi said.

"Where's Sasuke? I wanted to talk to him too." Tazuna questioned.

Everyone looked from me to Naruto with sympathy in their eyes.

"Uh....the thing is....Sasuke's....uh..." Kakashi said.

"Sasuke and I had a fight, so he left the village for a while. But....I'll bring him back soon! You can say hi when he gets back." Naruto spoke up. "I'm sure Sasuke would love to see you again....right Sakura?"

"Y-Yeah."

"What was the trouble....some sort of love triangle?"

"Of course not!"

Soon they left.

"Um Kakashi, I need to tell you something." I said.

"Hm? What is it?"

"Um...Pain isn't the real leader of the Akatsuki....."

"WHAT?!" They all shouted.

I winced at their loudness.

"The real leader is.....AHHHH"

I felt myself being sucked up into Madara's world. The others looked confused and concerned.

"MARIAH!" They shouted reaching out to me.

I reached out my bad hand to grab onto them. I grabbed Naruto's arm and he held onto mine but my grip wasn't strong enough to hold on.

"HELP!" I shouted but I was already gone.

All I saw was darkness then Madara himself. He walked up to me and punched my face. I flew across the dark abyss and when I fell I felt all the pain that I've been suppressing come back. I screamed in pain, my body felt like it was on fire, I couldn't move again. My body needed its rest which I haven't been giving; its shutting down.

I saw that I was bleeding again which meant my wounds have opened up. Then Madara grabbed the collar of my shirt and we appeared on a tree branch in front of Sasuke's team. Madara dropped me on the branch, I take it that they didn't notice me yet because Madara was blocking the view. He punched me in the stomach hurting the wounds where Pein pierced me with his chakra receiver.

"Shit! Bad timing."  Suigetsu complained.

"How did you know where I was?" Sasuke questioned.

"Don't underestimate me. It's within my powers." Madara replied.

"What do you want with me now? Taka is no longer a part of Akatsuki. We have no further use for you."

"I said I'd have to kill you if you betrayed Akatsuki, and you broke your promise to me."

"What are you talking about?"

"The eight tailed beast."

"But we found the eight tailed beast and brought him to you!" Karin said.

"It was a fake...in other words, you failed. The eight tailed beast pulled one over on you. I'm really disappointed in you guys."

"So what do you want us to do about it!? It's not our business anymore!" Suigetsu said.

"No you will finish your last job as part of Akatsuki. But I don't care about him anymore....there's something else I want you to do."

"What if I said no?"

"Then you'll have to fight me to get to Konaha. I won't let you pass."

"I'll force my way through.."

Sasuke rushed towards Madara with Chidori but Madara grabbed me and used my weak body as a shield. Luckily Madara made Sasuke phase right through us. Sasuke's along with everyone else's eyes widened.

"It's a little late to go to Konaha now. You're goal is futile now, too bad."

"What do you mean and what the hell did you do to Mariah!"

Madara shook me making me feel pain which made me scream.

"Tell them." Madara demanded.

I was silent. He shook me more violently.

"The......village.....no longer....exists..." I gasped.

"What do you mean?" Karin questioned.

"Mariah, care to tell them where you've been?"

"No."

"Do as I say."

I shivered in fear. All eyes were on me.

"I was in the leaf...........Pein....he.....he attacked....it.....and I.....tried to.....help......I was....no match for him......so......as you can see......I'm pretty....banged up.......I died protecting the.....person who....stood a chance......"

"DID YOU JUST SAY THAT YOU DIED!" Sasuke yelled.

"Yes..................but I............was brought.....back as you...can see...."

"She betrayed the Akatsuki by getting in the way of a Jinchuuriki capture. Zetsu, explain what else happened." Madara said.

Zetsu popped out of the ground.

"So....who's the new Hokage?" Madara asked.

"Some guy named Danzo." Zetsu replied.

"I thought as much."

"Danzo....is Hokage?" Sasuke questioned.

"That's right...he's one of the elders who drove your brother to do what he did. And now he's the new Hokage."

"What the hell happened in Konoha?"

"One of my minions, Pein, destroyed the village. But because you and Pein have made such a commotion, the five Kages have begun to move."

"The five Kages?"

"They're holding a meeting."

"I'll explain the rest." Zetsu said.

He explained everything.

"So Mariah fought Pein and went all crazy because he killed her sensei then died protecting this Naruto who defeated Pein all alone?" Suigetsu questioned.

"That's right. He's gotten really strong. He's probably stronger than Sasuke now."

Sasuke's face showed anger.

"Heh! I don't care about that....the five Kages are the problem." Sasuke said.

"What're you gonna do? Konoha is gone....Danzo's your target, right? If he's gonna be at this meeting, maybe that's where we should head." Suigetsu suggested.

Karin glared at him.

"Wh...what? Am I wrong?"

"We'll go to that meeting and kill the Kages. Our plans have changed."

"What! You can't........kill all the Kages!......You're crazy!" I shouted.

"Silence Mariah!"

I was taken aback at his tone towards me.

"So....where is this meeting?" Karin asked.

"You will take Mariah, she knows this world like the back of her hand don't you Mariah?"

"Fuck off." I cursed.

"Touchy, but you did just come back from the dead so I guess your mood is reasonable. Tell me....did you like being dead?"

"Shut up,"

"What did you see?"

"Fuck off Madara!"

I raised my voice to high and started to violently cough up blood.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that you're severely injured and completely out of chakra. Wait until she's healed then leave; I don't want her dying.......yet. The meeting is in a few weeks." Madara said picking me up then throwing me to Sasuke who caught me. 

Then he disappeared leaving us alone. Sasuke gently set me down and the rest rushed to my side. I started to cough up blood again which only worried them even more. Karin knelt down and started to examine me.

"Her chakra is very low, she has some broken bones, and.....oh my God....your stomach and chest are bleeding very badly. How did you not die again from blood loss?" She said.

"Don't worry about it..........pretend....you never saw.....anything." I said.

So Sasuke carried me to a resting spot where Karin started to patch me up. I honestly didn't care if she examined me in front of the boys. Juugo just looked away, Karin smacked Suigetsu because he looked but Sasuke didn't really care. When I took off my shirt Karin gasped at the scars on my body.

"Can you stop staring at my scars? I know they're terrible but I'm sick of people looking at them." I said looking away.

"Those holes in your stomach,"

"Yeah well thank him for one of them." I said motioning to Sasuke.

She then started to wrap me up in bandages like a mummy. I looked pretty cool if I may say so myself. I then put my shirt back on and Suigetsu approached me.

"Uh Mariah-chan........what was like........to you know........die?" He nervously asked.

They all gathered around me intrigued by the question and also wanting to know the answer.

"Well........I didn't feel any pain. I felt pure, peaceful, and happy. I never did make it to heaven or hell; I was in limbo. I saw a few people who were important to me. It was nice but then I started to come back to life." I explained.

"So um......since you have the Renningan like Pein.........can you also bring people back to life?" Suigetsu asked.

It was silent.

"Yes.........but I wouldn't do it unless it was necessary."

"Why?"

"Because it could kill you, I don't want to die again. Not yet."

They were silent and started to set up camp while I just sat against a tree. I just played with my hands while looking up at the sky. Everyone started to eat some pork or whatever they found in the woods and tossed one to me. I started to slowly eat it. IT TASTED HORRIBLE! I wasn't hungry so I just tossed it behind me.

I was staring at the burning fire in a trance until someone sat down next to me. It was Sasuke. I didn't look at him but I could tell that he was staring at me. I turn my gaze onto the others and notice that they were all sleeping.

"Can I talk to you?" Sasuke questioned standing up.

"Sure," I replied taking his hand.

Me: YAY! So sasuke what are you going to ask Mariah?

Sasuke: Not telling you

Me: T_T WWWWWWHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! YOU'RE MAKING ME CRY!!!

Sasuke: Too bad

Me: Say you're sorry!

Sasuke: No

Mariah: Sasuke say sorry! *hits him on the head*

Sasuke: Ow, fine i'm sorry
