Slipstream and Jetstorm were taking care of Sparkling Drift and everyone else kept taking turns helping them.

Bumblebee, Strongarm, Sideswipe and Grimlock had gone out to try to capture ShadowRaker. While Fixit it was doing mission control.

And Knock Out and Ratchet who had just gotten there awhile ago were working on the relic trying to figure out how to change Drift back to normal.

While Starscream and Windblade were helping Jetstorm and Slipstream take care of Drift. Starscream actually proved to be pretty good with sparklings to everyone's surprise.

And got Drift to go into recharge in no time by rocking him in his servos. Then gently put him in a crib Denny and Fixit had manged to put together.

And Knock Out and Ratchet had made bottles that they filled with special low grade energon for sparklings.

"You know he's kind of cute like that." Said Windblade looking in the crib at the sleeping sparkling.

"Yeah." Both Jetstorm and Slipstream agreed and even Starscream smiled.

Then the seeker went over to see if he could help with the relic having once been a scientist himself. And wanting to help out anyway he could.

Later Windblade was helping Jetstorm and Slipstream with Drift when they suddenly heard a crash followed by screams and rush over to the medbay to see what happened having recognized the screams as Ratchet, Knock Out and Starscream.

"What happened?" They all three asked at once.

"Well which do you want first the good news, the bad news or the really bad news?" Asked Knock Out.

"Give us the good news then the bad news then the really bad news." Said Slipstream.

"OK the good news is the relic works and the three of us are fine." Knock Out explained.

"The bad news is we dropped it and it broke." He continued.

"And the really bad news is coming right now." Knock Out finished as Ratchet walk out carrying a crying sparkling who they all recognized as Starscream.

"When it broke it also fired and Starscream shoved me out of the way and took the bullet for Ratchet." Knock Out told them.

Then everyone had to cover their audio receptors because Starscream's crying was so loud. And it woke Drift up so now they had two crying sparkings.

"Oh scrap." They all said at once. They also noticed that Starscream's cries were a lot louder then Drift's.

Then Bumblebee and the others got back with Megatron who had shown up on Earth having come to help out.

And they quickly told them about the mishap with the relic. And Megatron had to move do a different part of the scrapyard because sparking Starscream cried everytime the former warlord came near him.

Then Knock Out manged to calmed both sparklings down by blinking his headlights which both sparklings thought was funny and started giggling.

"Good job Knock Out." Ratchet told the other medic.

"That a trick I came up with for whenever I have to work with sparkling at the hospital back on cybertron it's a handy distraction whenever they have to have shots." Knock Out explained.

"And it makes scene that Starscream cries louder all seeker sparklings do so the adults can hear them while their flying." Knock Out added having worked with a lot of seekers before.

And it also made since to everyone why Starscream cried anytime Megatron came near him given how many time Megatron had hurt him as an adult and now that he was a sparkling the former leader of the Decepticons looked even bigger from his point of view.

To sparking Starscream Megatron looked like a big scary monster. But Drift didn't seem to have a problem with him.

And sparkling Starscream seemed to like Windblade they all figured that since she had wings that resembled a seeker's he must think she's his carrier.

A few minutes later they manged to get both sparklings to go to sleep. And thought they were both adorable.

Both Ratchet and Knock Out got to work trying to fix the relic. So they could change both Drift and Starscream back to normal.

Just then they heard a crash and saw Windblade, Jetstorm and Slipstream try to calm down a now crying Drift and Bumblebee chasing someone who turned out to be ShadowRaker who had Starscream.

Upon see he had grabbed the wrong sparkling ShadowRaker toss Starscream to the ground and made his escape when Bumblebee ran to where the sparkling hit. Who was now whaling.

Upon seeing what happened both Ratchet and Knock Out rushed over to them after seeing that Ratchet was taking care of it Knock Out transformed to his alt mode and shot off at full speed.

And the next thing ShadowRaker knew he was suddenly rammed by Knock Out's alt mode.

Knock Out transformed and his optics looked more red then usual and his face looked like something straight out of a nightmare.

"You how dare you do that to a sparkling." He hissed.

Then change his servo into his saw. "DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!!!!!" He roared.

And to say ShadowRaker was terrified would be an understatement. His optics widened before he fled in terror.

But Knock Out wasn't letting him off that easy and gave chase while swinging his saw at ShadowRaker who was now running for his life.

"HERE'S KNOCKY!!!" Knock Out growled as he swung his saw into a tree chopping it down having just missed ShadowRaker's helm.

ShadowRaker was now panicking and shooting webs everywhere.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" He whimper. "BACK OFF!!!"

Just then Knock Out was zapped with his energon prob by Bumblebee who had to stop him before he either killed ShadowRaker or leveled the whole forest.

ShadowRaker escaped. But as freaked out as he'd been he probably wouldn't come back to the scrapyard anytime soon.

Bumblebee took Knock Out back to base.

Awhile later Knock Out woke up having now regain his senses. And was glad to see both sparkling were fine and playing now. Luckily Starscream had only gotten a few dents but other then that was OK being tossed to the ground had mostly just scared him.

"Sorry about that guys." Knock Out apologized for having gone off the deep end.

"It's OK just remind me to never get on your bad side." Sideswipe joked.

"It wasn't your fault Knock Out seeing a sparkling hurt and hearing Starscream cry must have activated your protector protocol." Ratchet explained.

"All cybertronians have it but it's most commonly activated in parents and medics." Ratchet told them. "Think of it as a cross between parental instincts and an adrenaline rush."

"Hopefully it won't happen again." Said Bumblebee.

"I think it was Starscream louder seeker cry that triggered it because crying that loud for a seeker is normal but for any other sparkling it's a sign of extreme distress." Ratchet explained. "And that combined with the already stressful situation is what triggered Knock Out's protector protocol."

Then everyone relaxed now that it was over. And Knock Out was back to normal and helping Ratchet try to fix the relic so they could change Drift and Starscream back to normal.

Meanwhile ShadowRaker had calmed down after hiding in a cave.

He was still going to try to get revenge on Drift but made a mental note to avoid Knock Out at all cost.
