CHAPTER FIFTEEN

"Girl Meets Money"

(primrose's outfit for this part of the chapter)

Primrose walks into History class while holding hands with Farkle. She raises her eyebrows when she noticed a dollar on everyone's desk. "Okay, either this is part of the lesson or something weird is going on." Primrose remarked, letting go of Farkle's hand as she sat down behind him.

Farkle sits in front of her and he turns to look at her. He nods. "Probably both."

"Ooh, a dollar!" Maya exclaims, walk in the classroom along with Riley and Riley sits down. Maya points at the dollar, looking at Riley with a grin. "They're finally paying us to come here."

"Dopes. I'd come here for nothing." Maya commented, picking up the dollar.

"No, you wouldn't." Primrose shook her head.

"No, I wouldn't." Maya agrees with her. "But I have to 'cause of the stupid law." She grumbled, sitting down.

"Wait, everybody has one." Riley noticed.

"So, what do you got there?" Cory asked, walking into the classroom.

"It's a trap. Everybody just give your dollars to me and I'll hold them is what I'll do." Maya looks at everyone. A smile tugs on her lips. "Yeah."

"The United States government says that these pieces of paper are worth something." Cory said to the class. "What makes them valuable?"

Cory points at Primrose and Farkle. "Farkle, Primrose, go."

"Paper money used to be certificates that you could exchange for their equal value in gold or silver." Farkle explained, he points at Primrose behind him, signaling her to finish.

"Way before that happened people bought things with livestock, colored stones, or shiny objects." Primrose finished explaining.

A smile tugs on Riley's face. "I like shiny objects."

"I know you do, Riles." Primrose chuckled, smiling back at Riley when she looks back at her with a smile.

"Which shirt is better?" Cory holds up two shirts that are the exact same color and they both had 'bleh!' on them. "Same size, same color, same shirt."

He raises the one in his left hand. "One of these comes from Cheapo's and costs $12.99," He then raises the other one in his right hand. "The other one comes from Demolition and costs 36 bucks. So," Cory looks at the class. "Which one's the better shirt? Primrose?"

"Watch my little fashionista go." Maya grinned at Primrose, who smiled back at her.

"I would go with the one on the left 'cause it costs less." Primrose responded to Cory.

"I like how you think." Cory smiled at her.

"Rosie, I get it that you know all about fashion," Riley looks at Primrose. Primrose tilts her head to the side, listening to what Riley says. "But I think you got it all wrong. Obviously the one that costs more is the better one to get. So, I would take the Demolition Bleh."

"You already did." Cory said to Riley, handing her the Demolition Bleh shirt. Riley furrows her eyebrows. "This is your shirt. You spent 36 Washingtons on it."

"Like I said, it costs more so it's better." Riley smiled as she held the shirt. Primrose pursed her lips together while shaking her head. She didn't agree with Riley, but decided not to say anything, knowing that an argument would probably happen.

Cory chuckles. "Same exact shirt from same exact manufacturer that sends it to a million different stores all over the world."

"Mines better." Riley rubs the shirt on her face and smiles. "It feels good on my face."

"This is your shirt." Cory holds up the other one in his left hand. "I changed the labels this morning."

Riley looks at him with wide eyes, her lips quivering. She quickly lays the shirt she held on her desk. "This shirt hurts my face!" She points at the one Cory held. "Give me that one."

Cory hands her the shirt after he took it off the hanger. Riley rubs that shirt on her face as a smile tugs on her lips. "Mm. I know my shirt anywhere."

Cory looks at her with an amused expression. It took Riley a few seconds, but then she realized that the one she put on her desk is in fact her Demolition shirt. Cory chuckles. "Why would I change the labels when I can just talk?"

Riley pouts as she sits back down. "Obviously you guys will believe anything." Cory spoke.

"Mr. Matthews," Lucas speaks up. "Are you teaching us that money has no real value?"

Cory looks at him. "I'm telling you that money is paper we put faith in." He looks at the class. "Wars are fought over it. Most crime happens because money's involved."

"I'm safe." Maya grinned.

"I'm teaching you that the value given to money is a lot less important than how it's used." Cory tells the class. "That's what matters. That's what shapes who you are. Don't be mislead by trendy brands and shiny objects."

"So, what should we do with our money?" Farkle inquired.

Lucas, Maya, and Riley then suggest to do different things with money like buy food, shelter, do charity. Riley hands one of the bleh shirts to Maya who gasps as she takes it. "Riles, you gave me the Demolition one."

"Mm-mmm. Charity with a full heart." Riley smiles. That smile fell as she stares forward. "Also, I made a mistake."

"What about doing business?" Farkle questions. "My father is the Minkus of Minkus International."

"Yeah," Cory nods. "He's been on the news a lot recently."

Lucas nods. "I hear he's risking a lot of his company on a new technology."

"It's something he really believes in," Farkle explains. "But he doesn't know if it's gonna work yet."

Riley turns to face him, looking at him with curiosity. "When will he find out?"

Farkle shrugs. "Not sure. When he does this kind of stuff, he's...Not around the house very much."

"Farkle, how come we never been to your house?" Lucas asked him.

"Prim has." Farkle replied, gesturing to Primrose.

"Well, yeah, she's your girlfriend." Maya said in a 'duh' tone. "You say you're embarrassed by it, but how big could it possibly be?"

"I don't know. I haven't seen it all." Farkle answered.

"Yeah, I got lost one time." Primrose chimes in. Farkle sends her a look and she sighs. "Okay, it was more than one time."

"We also haven't been to Primrose's house either." Lucas said, looking over at Primrose.

"You guys are always welcomed to come over." Primrose reassured her friends, smiling at them.

"What? How come you never told us that?!" Riley looked at her with wide eyes.

Primrose sheepishly smiles at her while shrugging her shoulders. "It never came up. And I thought you guys knew."

Maya quickly shakes her head, looking at her with a pout. Upset that she was just now hearing about this. "Obviously not!"

"Farkle, we couldn't love you less just because you have more than us." Riley said to Farkle.

"That goes to you too, Primrose." Maya pointed at Primrose and Primrose exchanged a smile with her.

"Not anymore."

Everyone looks at the door, surprised to see Stuart Minkus standing there. Cory shrugs, looking at Stuart with surprise. "Minkus."

"Hi, Cory." Stuart greets, walking over to him. "Is it okay if I speak to Farkle about a minor issue?"

"Uh, Minkus, is this one where we go out in the hall and talk?" Cory asked him.

"Yeah." Stuart nodded with an upset look on his face. He walked out into the hall, and once Cory tells Farkle it was okay for him to go, Farkle got up and went to talk to his dad and Cory followed him.

****

"Okay, I was able to find $24 in all of my piggy banks and drawers." Riley said, laying her money on the coffee table. The gang, minus Farkle, are sitting at Topanga's later that day. After they heard about the Minkus' losing all of their money they decided that they would help them out.

"I sold a couple of baseball bats of mine. I got $58 to kick in. " Lucas added, laying the money he got on the table.

"My parents were wanting to help out the Minkus' right away when I told them what happened and they wrote a check for them for $1,000." Primrose explains, laying the check her parents wrote on the table. She gets some of her own money she brought, laying it on the table. "I also got all of my money I saved up which adds up to $50."

Riley smiles. "That's really kind of you and your parents, Primrose." Primrose shrugged her shoulders, showing that it wasn't a big deal, and smiled back at her.

"Okay, so between the three of us we have $132 and with the help of the money Primrose's parents so graciously gave us we have $1132 to give to Farkle." Riley counts the money and the check she now held in her hands. She looks at Maya with a smile. "Maya?"

"Between the three of us and Primrose's parents we have $1132 to give to Farkle." Maya smiles. "Good job, guys!"

"Hi, guys." Farkle greeted as he walkd in.

"Hi, Farkle." Primrose smiled while he sat beside her.

"We wanted to give you something." Riley hands him the check and the money. "$1132."

"Thanks, but I think it's Maya who can help me out the best." Farkle smiled.

Maya looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "How?"

"I want you to give me lessons on how to be poor." Farkle replied.

"Done. $1132 a lesson." Maya watched Farkle with a grin as he took the money and check from Riley and handed it to to her.

"Maya, that check is written out for the Minkus'." Primrose pointed out, sighing when Maya ignored her.

Maya grins, looking at the money. "Lesson one complete."

"You have less than we do, Maya," Farkle said. "But you live a really good life. You don't just survive in this world. You thrive. That's what I always loved about you."

"Thanks, Farkle." Maya smiles. "Not much to tell you except..." She gestures to the outfit she wore. "You see these clothes I wear?"

Farkle nods. "Yeah?"

"Shawn bought them for me," Maya tells him. "And I take care of them and I appreciate them. I don't have much, but I try to appreciate what I do have."

"That's really good advice, Maya." Farkle smiles. "I mean, I have so much. I don't really appreciate any of it."

"I get what you mean." Primrose speaks up. She sighs. "I feel bad with how much I have and how I don't even use half of it."

"Yeah...And now everything I have is gonna be gone." Farkle had a sad smile on his face.

"Well, let's go to your house while you still have it." Riley suggested.

"My house?" Farkle asked, looking at each of them and Primrose noticed that it seemed like he was nervous. He shouldn't be nervous though because he should know they wouldn't treat him differently just because of how nice his house is. She didn't treat him differently when she first went to his house and he didn't treat her differently when he first went to her house.

"Yeah, Farkle. You've been to each of our houses." Riley tells him. "We haven't been to yours."

"I don't think that's a good idea." Farkle shook his head.

"Farkle, we get it." Lucas reassured him. "You were rich. You have a nice room."

"Well, I just want to hang out with you guys at your places." Farkle told them.

"Why?" Riley asked him.

Farkle shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know. I like your places."

Maya stands up, pointing at him. "We're going. Your room can't change how we feel about you."

****

Primrose stood off to the side beside where the others stood in Farkle's room. Each of them had a look of shock on their faces even Farkle which confused her.

"Farkle, why do you look so shocked?" Primrose asked, crossing her arms.

"This is a look of pain. Maya's hitting me." Farkle replied, looking at the blonde beside him who was punching his leg.

"Maya." Riley said in a stern voice.

"Look at this stuff!" Maya said in awe. "How can you not hit him?"

In Farkle's room there was a gaming area set up that had four tvs set up on the wall in front of his bed that's king sized, there was a telescope, and the ceiling of his room was even a planetarium.

Farkle looks at her. "You have to stop."

Maya sighs and outstretches her arms dramatically. "What are you gonna do about it, little...rich boy?"

The five of them look over to their left when they hear a train sound. Riley, Maya, and Lucas look surprise when a train drives into the room.

"What is that? A train?" Maya scoffed.

"I'm gonna send you far, far away." Farkle then pushed Maya onto the train.

"You have boarded the 'C' train," The conductor spoke. "for the kitchen, the skating rink, and the Minkus Megaplus 7." As the train left, Maya had a mixture of a look of shock and awe on her face.

"Farkle, how do you possibly live here?" Riley asked in disbelief as she walks over to the wall of windows, looking around at the room in awe. She looks down below through the window. "Look down there. The people are ants."

"Look up there." Lucas points at the ceiling with an awestruck expression on his face. "I just saw a comet fly by."

Riley looks over at him with confusion and walks over to stand him and Farkle. She looks at the ceiling with wide eyes. "Yeah. My ceiling is a planetarium." Farkle informs his friends. He looks at Riley with a reassuring smile. "But don't worry, Riley. Pluto will always be a planet in my room."

Riley smiles at him and puts a hand on his shoulder. "Aw, good. You're the same Farkle no matter how much money you have."

She looks at Primrose with a smile. "You're the same Primrose no matter how much money you have." Primrose smiled back at her.

"Yeah, I don't think money could change any of us." Lucas smiled.

The four of them look over when the train comes back and they see that it's filled with a lot of gift bags. Maya was dressed up fancily and even had a cat in her new purse. The four of them look at her with wide eyes.

Maya lowers the sunglasses she wore as she looks at them. "What? I stopped at the gift shop."

"Yeah, I'm not surprised." Primrose chuckled.

****

Everyone was having a good time hanging out in Farkle's room. Maya was playing with the virtual reality headset where it was as if she was in Paris. Lucas also had one on, but his was one where you could play golf and it be like you were actually on the golf course, and Riley was playing a video game.

"Wait, where's Primrose?" Maya then realized Primrose wasn't in the room after she told Farkle lesson number four of being poor.

"She's probably in the fashion studio." Farkle replied.

Maya looks at him with surprise. "You even have a fashion studio here?"

"Yeah." Farkle smiles. "We got it just for her."

Maya smiles, thinking it was sweet they did that for Primrose. "You really care about her, do you?"

"I do." Farkle nods, not hesitating to answer her and the smile never left his face, it only grew. "A lot."

Maya smiles. "Good 'cause if you said no I was gonna have to knock some sense into you."

"Hey, guys." Stuart greets, walking into the room with Primrose. "Great to see you guys enjoying the house. Why haven't you ever been here before?"

"Oh, hi, Minkus." Riley turns to smile at him. "Nice crib." She then turns back to the screens and continues to play the video game she was playing.

"Primrose, whatcha got there?" Maya asked Primrose, noticing she held a tie-dye hoodie in her hands.

"I just finished working on this for you actually." Primrose replied, walking over to stand beside Stuart who stood in front of where Farkle and now Maya sat.

Maya looks at her with surprise. "Really? You-You didn't have to make me anything."

"I wanted to." Primrose smiled at her. "I've been meaning to give it to you for your birthday, but I wanted it to be perfect."

"Anything you make is perfect, Rosie." Maya reassured her, taking the hoodie as Primrose hands it to her.

She holds it out in front of her, gasping at how good it looked. The hoodie was covered in blue and purple paint. On the front of it there were little music notes surrounding the middle part of the hoodie where there was a quote in a black colored fancy font that said 'art changes people and people change the world'. She turned it around to see in the middle of the back of it there was a painting of a heart surrounding her playing her acoustic guitar and it had all of her friends sitting beside her.

"This is the best thing anyone has made me." Maya said, looking at Primrose with teary eyes as she holds the hoodie close to her heart.

She sets the purse that was on her lap on the ground beside her and stands up. She walks over to Primrose and pulls her into a hug. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, Maya." Primrose smiled while she hugged him back, happy that Maya liked it.

After they pull away from the hug, Maya sits back down and looks at Stuart with an apologetic expression. "Also, very sorry, you know, for the unfortunate turn of events."

"Thanks." Stuart nods. "I've always felt that it's not the event that reveals the man, but how the man responds to the event that reveals the true nature of character."

Riley walks over to stand beside Primrose while Lucas takes off the VR headset as he walks over to them. Riley looks at Stuart. "How are you responding, sir?"

Stuart looks at her. "I watch cartoons. I eat cereal without milk because my tears fill the bowl. Stuff like that."

Farkle stands up, looking at his dad. "I want you to know that I don't care if we live like this or not."

Stuart looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Why not, Farkle? Aren't you proud of what we've done?"

"I'm not really sure of what we've done, dad." Farkle answers. "I know if the stock market goes up, you're happy, and if it goes down, you're not. I know the busier you are, the less I don't get to see you." He shakes his head and sighs. "And if you're wondering why I only ever bring Prim here, and I still feel this way even when I bring just her over, is because I feel a little embarrassed."

"By me?" Stuart asked him.

Farkle shakes his head. "No. Never by you. By all this stuff we have. We have so much." He frowns. "Why do we deserve it?"

****

Primrose sat on Maya's bed later that night. They were now hanging out at Maya's house and she smiled when she noticed Maya is wearing the hoodie she made for her. Maya was working on a drawing, Riley played around with her acoustic guitar, and Farkle was looking out the window.

"What do you think?" Maya showed her drawings to each of her friends, and it showed a detailed drawing of each of them in her bedroom.

"It looks great." Primrose complimented her drawing, looking at the blonde with a smile and Maya smiled back at her.

"I think you're the best there is." Riley said and she exchanged a smile with Maya.

Riley looks at each of her friends and smiles. "Look at us. We're having a really good time."

"I like this little ferret." Lucas commented petting the ferret on his lap and Primrose chuckled at him.

"Hi." Farkle greeted, waving to the people outside of Maya's window.

"Hey, what are you doin'?" Maya asked him, laying her sketchbook down and gets up to walk over to him.

"There's people right out your window." Farkle replies. "I wish I had that."

Farkle then asks if Maya knows the people that each walk by her window. Primrose decided to get up at one point and goes over to stand behind them, leaning her head on Farkle's shoulder as she looks out the window. He looks at her with a smile and she smiled back at him.

Riley then came over to them, standing beside Maya. "Hi, guys." She greeted, squeezing beside them so she can look out the window, too. Maya giggled as she, Farkle and Primrose smiled at her.

"My room is an idiot." Farkle sighs. "It has everything in it expect for the most important thing."

Primrose looks beside her when Lucas stands beside her, looking at his friends with a smile. "Us?"

Farkle nods. "How can you put a price on that?"

Each of them then move away from the window as Riley replies to Farkle. "You don't. You can't put a price on what's truly valuable."

"Who needs money at all?" Farkle looks at Maya with a small smile. "Lesson five, right?"

Maya points at him. "Wrong." She shakes her head. "When you don't have it, you learn when it comes in handy. I mean, I'd fix the leak in my roof, do something about the cracks in the plaster, definitely patch up that hole that Ginger came through a year ago."

Lucas looks at her with wide eyes. "Wait a minute. What?"

Riley looks at Maya with furrowed eyebrows. "Your cat's that's a ferret is a rat?"

At hearing that Lucas was quick to put Ginger on the floor.

(primrose's outfit for this part of the chapter)

"This is the world." Cory points to a circle graph on the board, quarter of it being shaded. "You see this piece of pie? These are the people in the world who have pie," He gestures to the plain area of the circle that was bigger than the shaded part. "And this is everyone else in the world who lives on less than $2 a day."

He points at the shaded part. "These are the people who have access to immediate medical care and do not live in abject poverty." He then colors a small part of the shaded part with red. "This is us. These are people who get to wake up in their warm beds and they get to eat waffles in the morning. This is us. This is them. Look at me. Pay attention to this."

"Now, I've tried to teach you guys that the secret of life is people change people. Well, today we're gonna get more specific. This is us. This is them." Cory said to the class. "What's the secret of life? Anybody?"

Maya speaks up. "What us does for them."

Nodding his head, Cory points at her. "Kindness. Charity. That's what changes people. That's the secret of life. And thank you."

Maya looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "I'm an 'us'?"

"You're an 'us'." Cory tells her. "You're blessed." He looks at the class. "We're all blessed."

"I'm sorry I've ever complained." Maya apologizes. "I'll never complain about my leaky roof again."

Cory looks at his daughter. "Riley."

Riley smiles. "What us does for them."

"The secret of life." Cory nodded. He turns to the class. "Your assignment today is to think about what good you guys would do if you had money. Who would you help?"

Primrose stares at her desk, somehow feeling guilty. She looks at Farkle when he suddenly speaks. "I am...Humiliated." Primrose watched with concern as he got up and walked out of the room. She looked at Cory, making sure it's okay for her to go check on him. Cory nodded and that's all it takes for her to get up and immediately follow Farkle.

****

After she checked on Farkle he reassured her that he would be okay and that he just needed to go talk to his dad. Primrose was now walking into the building of her mom's fashion business.

"Hi, Primrose." Jazlyn, one of her mom's workers, greets her once she gets to the floor her mom's office is at. Primrose sent her a small smile. "Hi, Jazlyn. Do you happen to know where my mom is at?"

"I believe she's in her office." Jazlyn replied.

Primrose nods. "Okay, thank you." She walked down the hallway and around a corner. She got to her mom's office, knocking on the door. Once she heard her mom say it was okay for her to come in, she opened the door and walked in.

Josie looks at her with a wide smile. "Hi, honey. What a surprise-"

"What do we do with our money?" Primrose interrupted her, walking over to stand in front of her mom's desk.

Josie looks at her with surprise, setting down the fabrics she held. She didn't expect for her daughter to say that. "What?"

"The money that you and dad earn, do we do anything good with it or be selfish and keep it for ourselves while others are surviving on $2?" Primrose questioned, looking at Josie with an upset expression.

Josie looks at her with surprise for a second, but then she looks at Primrose with a smile, happy that Primrose got to the point where she cared about stuff like this and want to talk to her about tit ."Honey, I assure you we do good things with our money." Primrose looked at her like she didn't believe her causing Josie to chuckle.

"We actually help out a lot of charities and we personally even help out with the homeless shelter in town at least once a month. We also have workers that help out at the homeless shelter at least twice a month. And the money that we don't use we save for important things, like your college career, for medical reasons, and other things like that." Josie explained as a smile tugged on Primrose's lips.

"Oh. I guess I never realized what you guys do with the money. I just knew that we have a lot of stuff and that people like your business." Primrose admitted.

"I'm so glad that you're interested in this," Josie smiles at her daughter. She tilts her head to the side, furrowing her eyebrows. "But what brought you to talk about this?"

"We walked about stuff like this in History class today." Primrose replied.

"Cory Matthews' class." Josie nods in realization and chuckles. "Not surprised. He's a good teacher."

Primrose nods in agreement and bites her lower lip nervously. "Can we do something to help someone?"

Josie smiles at her, thinking it was sweet of her for wanting to help someone. "Who do you have in mind?"

"Maya Hart." Primrose answered with a smile on her face.

Josie smiles and nods. "Say no more. I've already been thinking of a plan."

****

When Primrose was done with talking with her mom, she had her driver take her to the Matthews' apartment since Riley had texted her to meet them there.

"Mr. Matthews, I had a talk with my father today because of what you taught us." Farkle said as he walked into the Matthews' apartment along with Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Primrose.

"I also had a talk with my mom 'cause of what you taught us." Primrose admitted, sitting on the bench.

"Yeah, we didn't realize how lucky we are." Lucas said while Farkle sat beside Primrose on the bench at the table Cory, Topanga, and Auggie are sitting at.

"We've been talking about it all day." Riley took her jacket off as she sat on the bench beside Farkle and Primrose and Lucas sat beside her.

Maya sits on the chair next to Topanga and Auggie. She looks at Cory, holding the dollar Cory gave her. "Thanks for the dollar, but...It's yours and I'm giving it back." She handed the dollar to Cory.

Cory smiles. "Thanks."

"Aug..." Cory looks at Auggie who sat on Topanga's lap. He hands him the dollar. "here's the rest of your allowance. What are you gonna do with it?"

****

"Dad." Farkle said, walking down the steps to Topanga's with Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Primrose. He looked at his dad who sat at a table with Topanga and Cory.

Stuart looks at him with a smile. "I called you this time."

"I thought about what you said." Stuart stands up and stands beside him. "I'm no success at all if I haven't succeeded with you."

Farkle smiles. "You have."

"You're right, Farkle." Stuart nods. "I should do more."

Riley speaks up. "We should probably leave you two alone."

"No. Actually, this involves all of you." Topanga said, getting up along with Cory to stand next to Stuart. Primrose raised her eyebrows, wondering what they had planned.

"This morning, I did something I should have done long ago." Stuart confesses. "I started the Minkus Family Foundation. We're gonna give some money away, a lot of money, to those who need it."

Topanga nods, looking at the teenagers in front of them with a smile. "And we want you all to be a part of it."

Lucas smiles. "Well, what do we do?"

"You're gonna help decide who needs it." Topanga replied.

"You've all been thinking about the less fortunate." Cory speaks up. "Well, we want the results of your assignment right now."

Farkle smiles at his dad. "I'd knew you come up with something."

"Well, I didn't come up with it alone." Stuart said. "Primrose's parents helped me out and I called a buddy of mine who's pretty good at spotting the potential in an idea. He's inside. He's gonna help us pick out the best one."

Everyone walks inside Topanga and Primrose was shocked to see Mark Cuban smiling at them. "That's-That's Mark Cuban." Primrose stuttered.

"Yeah," Lucas nods. "He owns Dallas Mavericks."

"And not to mention he's also on Shark Tank." Primrose adds and everyone looks at her with surprise. Primrose shrugs. "What? I like the show."

Riley walks over to stand in front of Mark with a small smile on her face. "Mr. Cuban, I know that you don't take the Knicks very seriously right now, but just you wait."

Mark shakes his head. "Yeah, I don't have that kind of time."

Riley scoffs and goes back to stand beside her friends. Cory, Topanga and Stuart then takes a seat beside Mark.

"You ready?" Stuart asked.

"Okay, guys." Mark smiles at the five friends. "Impress me."

****

Farkle and Primrose then walk into Topanga's once it was their turn. "What's this? Don't they know they have go in one at a time?" Mark asked, looking at Cory, Topanga, and Stuart with confusion.

"We're a package deal. Deal with it." Primrose told him, crossing her arms as she looks at him with a stern look.

Mark looks at her with surprise and nods. "Okay, then. Carry on."

"Maya Hart." Farkle said.

Mark looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What's that?"

"She's a person we believe in." Farkle replied, gesturing to Primrose and himself.

"She's someone who never had much, but always appreciated what she had." Primrose explained.

"Maybe that's why she looks at everything the right way." Farkle nodded.

"We'd give a lot of money to Maya Hart." Primrose spoke.

"And we would trust her whatever she wants to do with it because one day she will be a force to be reckon with." Farkle adds. He glances at Primrose, who smiles at him, causing him to smile back at her before he looks back at the judges. "We think you should invest in her right now."

"Maya Hart!" Mark exclaimed.

Maya quickly walks in. "I didn't do it and-and these two were with me the whole time." She stuttered, pointing at where Lucas and Riley. When she realizes they weren't there, she speaks louder. "These two!"

Riley and Lucas quickly walk in and stand beside her. "We were thinking about giving you guys a lot of money." Mark said. He looks at Maya with a small smile. "Maya Hart."

"How you doin', Cuban?" Maya walks towards him and they fist bump. She then stands beside Primrose. "So, are you guys gonna create world peace and cure diseases together?" Stuart asked the small group of friends.

Maya smiles and gestures to her friends. "I'm gonna dream with them. Yeah. I always have. They're the ones who taught me how. Just sometimes, I know better."

"What do you know?" Mark asked her.

"I know my roof leaks...And I know there is a hole in my wall." Maya replied.

"What are you gonna do about it?" Mark inquired.

"I'm gonna get educated from him," Maya gestured to Cory. "And I'm gonna earn my own money, and someday I'm gonna have a good place with good walls and a good roof." Maya answered Mark's question.

Stuart then asks her, "What are you gonna do for everybody else?"

"Everybody's a lot of people. But if I could afford it, I would fix somebody else's roof." Maya responded.

"What about world peace and disease?"

"I'mma leave that to you guys until I become one of you guys." Maya responded, gesturing to each of the judges.

Mark looks at her. "I don't invest in just ideas. I invest in people behind the ideas. Your roof leaks for a reason. You have these friends for a reason...And they have you. Use them."

"I'm gonna give you some money," Stuart speaks up, looking at Maya. "But you can't just keep it. I've learned that when all you do is keep it, maybe you don't deserve to keep it."

Maya smiles. "I'll do good with it. I promise."

Riley steps up behind Maya and hugs on her arm. "Can she keep a little bit of it to fix her roof?"

Maya giggles a bit at her and smiles. Primrose steps over to them, hugging on Maya's other arm. "And maybe to fix her walls too?" Maya giggles again and smiles over at her.

Mark smiles. "See? You have these friends for a reason."

Primrose and the others were hanging out in Farkle's room again, but they were hanging out in a replica area of Maya's room. "This is creepy." Maya commented after she and Farkle moved away from looking out the fake window.

"It definitely is cozier, Farkle." Riley spoke.

"Hey, Rosie," Maya moved to stand beside where Primrose sat on the ground beside Lucas.

"Yeah?" Primrose looked at her with a small smile.

"Can you tell your parents thank you for me?" Maya smiles. "It means a lot to me that they fixed my roof and my walls."

"Yeah, of course." Primrose tells her and her smile widens. "And they were happy to do it."

"Hey, Lucas..." Riley gets Lucas' attention and he looks at her with raised eyebrows. Riley was holding Maya's guitar again and she starts strumming it. "Zombies, I'm sorry for treating you so bad."

Primrose lets out a small laugh. "That was...That was..."

"Very confident." Lucas chuckled.

Primrose nods and laughs a bit. "Sure, we'll go with that."

"What are you guys looking at?" Lucas asked, seeing that Farkle and Maya were looking out the fake window again.

Primrose goes to stand behind Farkle, leaning her head on his shoulder as she looks out the window. There was a computer screen in front of them, showing them the people that walked on the sidewalk outside of Maya's bedroom.

"It's a live stream." Farkle answered Lucas. Lucas got up from the floor and walked over to them to check it out.

"Hey, those are my people." Maya notices and she smiles, glancing at Farkle with confusion. "How'd you get my people?"

"When Primrose's parents fixed your roof I asked then to put up a camera on it and a little speaker." Farkle replied as Riley gets up and squeezes between Maya and Farkle to look out the window. "Why?"

Farkle smiles. "Because I wanted to say hi. Hi, Mrs. Abruzzo." He waves to a lady that walks by. Mrs. Abruzzo stops, looking at where the camera is at and waves back. "Nice coat."

A/N this was a long chapter to write but it was a good one to write!
