Wolvie
'Miss Red!' Lily screeched, bursting into the clearing, and scaring the deer.
'Lily!' I told her off.
'Wolf! In...in..by...hut...'
I left her stuttering and gasping as I ran home. A large, dark creature was lumbering round by the fire pit. I felt a flickering of fear, then crushed it.
'Agrhhhh!' I yelled, brandishing my sword. It turned its head towards me and looked at me with big, sad eyes.
'Aw, I'm sorry, did I scare you Wolvie? Who's a good boy then? Wolvie is!' I melted and it started towards me. I tentatively reached my hand out to its robust head, pausing a inch from his nose. He nuzzled into my hand.
'Awww, aren't you a softie? Yes you are! Your so beautiful Wolvie!' I cooed, rubbing his head. So yes, I was a pushover when it came to wolves. Especially since the wolf incident. Everyone thought that she was intending to kill me. But she was my friend!
'Red?' A squeak came from behind me.
Lily was up in a tree, peering down at me from the branches. Wolfie growled.
'It's alright, Lily. Wolfie, shh.'
'Wolfie?'
'Lily, meet Wolfie, the newest member of our... group. Wolfie, meet Lily.' I nearly said family.
'What? It... It's... It's a wolf!' Lily stuttered.
'We are well aware of the fact that HE is a wolf, thank you very much.' And that is all that was said about it.
Wolfie was a big, grey, fluffy wolf with big, green, round, shining, trusting eyes that held a trace of wariness. He caught game easily and was a lovely companion. He didn't talk, but understood me, as I understood him. He was my ongoing companion. I...I think...I think I...Might love him.
