Robin Hood

'You?!' I gasped. It was The Rescuer. He was the handsome man with the green hood. He had also rescued me against my will from the prison. And the musclar man was that same rude young man from all that time ago, the one with blonde hair.

'I would have dressed your wounds but your wolf wouldn't let me.' Something about his voice calmed me. His dark brown hair was tousled and his deep brown eyes seemed to see into my soul.

'Wolfie?' I said, surprised.

He was beside me, staring with large, anxious eyes. The big man shifted his position, and Wolfie growled.

'It's okay boy, sh.' He obeyed.

'Who...Who are you?' I still felt weak and was extremely sore.

'This is Johnny, John Doe.' John nodded in acknowledgement.

'And this is Jethro Hudson.' The slip of a boy smiled.

'And I myself am Robin. Robin Hood. so you are called Red? Red Hood?'

'Yes.' My voice shook.

'Why did you end up in prison?' John asked me.

'Why did you bonk me one?' I shot back.

'Why didn't you want us to rescue you?'

'Why did you?'

For that he had no answer. I smirked and turned to massage Wolfie's large, grey head.

'If you two have finished bandying words will you let me do you back now?'

'No!' I backed away from them, ignoring the pain.

If they did my back, I would have to take my shirt off. I flattened my front with strips of cloth when I dressed as a boy, and they would then know that I was a girl.

Robin frowned.

'Why not?'

'Can I do them myself?'

'Fine. Come on.' Robin held is hand out and I grasped it, quickly letting go. My legs shook, and he sighed. He put a arm around me and helped me to a cave by the tree that we were sitting by. His arm was touching a strip of my skin, and it tingled pleasantly.

' Sit.'

I sat on the floor. Robin got out a box and laid bandages and a bottle of alcohol by me.

'You are very difficult aren't you?' He said finally, after standing there looking at me.

'You can't do this by yourself you know. Let me help you.' His eyes were so beautiful.

'Fine.' I turned to face the wall. I couldn't resist his eyes.

He went to call the other two to help him.

'Wait, please don't. And do it quickly please.'

He shrugged. I took me shirt off and held it up against me front, drawing my knees up. He gently touched my rags that I tied over my chest.

'What are these for?' He said softly.

'None of your business.' I said, just as quiet.

'Well, whatever they are, they stopped the spikes from penetrating your skin there. I am going to have to rinse you back though.'

'Just do it and stop dillydallying. But leave the rags where they are.' I said hurriedly.

He unstoppered the bottle and started to clean my wounds. I bit my lip to stop myself from crying out in agony. Once he had done that he wrapped the bandages around me. I flinched every time me reached round to wrap it around my stomach. At last he was done, and I slipped my shirt back on.

'Thank you.' He nodded. I hung back. Even thought I had jammed a hat on my head as well, hair had started to come out. I tucked it back in.

The breeze was chilly, and even though we were huddled around the campfire, it still reached us.

Where's my cloak? My red hooded cloak!' I realised I didn't have it on.

They exchanged looks and I grew suspicious.

'Where? Come on you basterds, tell me!'

'Calm down Red.' John restrained me, careful of my back, as I twisted and turned and struggled. Jethro brought my cloak to me, and I stopped, defeated. It was in tatters from the spikes, and was stained with blood, gore and dust. I had had it for so long, it felt strange to not have it. Wolfie had come back from hunting, and nuzzled into me.

'It's alright boy.' I didn't believe my own words. He whined and sniffed my back.

'Careful. Good boy.'

The boys looked at him warily, Robin with a small smile on his face.

'He won't hurt you if you don't hurt us.' I reassured them. Well, partly.
