Grief does dreadful things to the mind
Grief does dreadful things to the mind. I knew it was my fault that Lily died, just as it was when she died.
I was a terrible person. I should be punished. I needed to be punished for my evilness. I got out a knife and held it over my arm with a shaky hand. I slashed, blood instantly pooling. My injuries throbbed, but it wasn't enough.
'Lily!' I howled, throwing my head back.
'Lily...' I whispered, my voice breaking. Pain. Heart wrenching, soul destroying pain. Grief and old wounds opened up. And Lily was killed by him as well as my Wolfe was. I still had Wolfie though. He didn't deserve me, he would be better on his own. Otherwise he might kill Wolfie just to get to me. I always inflicted pain on others. I ran blindly through the forest, to my home. I packed food, my water carrier, clothes, knives and matches as well as some other things. I would never see this place again. I looked around, expecting to feel some other emotion. But memories of Lily came back and only grief came with them. I walked back through the forest, and followed the road. I had hidden my cloak in my satchel, I had a reputation in the town, I didn't want anyone to see me yet.

Nottingham. Known for the taxes, sheriff, and what I had come for. Prison.
The tall tower loomed like a shadow over Nottingham. You couldn't escape its glare. I dumped my satchel up in a tree, removing my cloak as I did so. I did up my hair, pulled on my leggings, boots and cloak. I raised my hood to cover my hair and face. I searched the town until I saw the Sheriff doing his rounds. A rich looking man accompanied him. I crept up to him. Deliberately brushing up against him, I nicked a coin. I wanted to be caught, but he didn't notice. running across their paths, I dropped it on the ground with a loud clatter. The nan I had took it from picked it up, examined it, and grabbed my arm. I pretended to struggle against his iron grip, and then gave up.
The Sheriff, with his round face and eyes, smiled gleefully.
'One more for the prison!' He crowed.
