The morning After

Warning: This chapter is unedited.

Astha opened the delicate folds of her eyes. She looked beside herself and found Dhruv sleeping wrapping his arms around her petite frame. Suddenly the realization washed over her and her cheeks burned out of shyness.

THEY HAD CONSUMATED THEIR MARRIAGE LAST NIGHT!!!

Her heart thudded in her chest and she closed her eyes tightly. She opened her eyes taking a deep breath. She looked at Dhruv, he looked so calm while sleeping and her heart melted like an ice cream in the summer.

Her cheeks turned warm instantly as the memories of last night washed over her. Last night he had marked her. He had claimed her. She closed her eyes. The red color on her cheeks deepened. She could still feel his lips over hers, his every touch, every kiss, every murmur played in her mind. The gentleness of his actions was exactly opposite to the flame of desire she had seen in his eyes which mirrored her own. He had made love to her, marked her with great gentleness and delicacy, even if it meant suppressing his own desires.

Astha looked at Dhruv who was sleeping. She couldn't help but run her fingers through his soft, velvety hair. Her heart swelled with a mixture of love and warmth as she gazed at him. She sighed feeling a sense of belonging wash over her running her fingers through his hair. The feeling of his hair slipping through her fingers was magical. Her touch loving and tender. She clutched the bedsheet against her necked chest and slowly slipped away from his grip.

Astha was dolled up in a red and golden lehenga.  She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her breathes were slow. She picked up her red contrasted bangles and gently wore them. The beautiful bangles clicking together making a delicate noise. She picked up her necklace and gently clasped it around her neck. She reached out for the multicolored small box of sindoor and opened it. She took a pinch of sindoor in between her fingers and was about to fill her partition but stopped remembering something. She placed the sindoor box back and want to her desk. She opened the drawer and took a bunch of papers. She grabbed her kalam and took a deep breath trying to collect her thoughts.

She dropped the kalam on the desk. Her heart was pounding in her chest like a drum. She shut her eyes for a moment and held the side of her chair rather tightly as the previous, passionate night played in her mind. She felt heat flooding through her body as the flashes of their tender moments clouded her mind.

The more she breathed, the more she remembered him, she could still smell his woody fragrance, a scent that still somehow lingered on her. With every touch, every stolen breath, He had imprinted himself on her, maybe assuring himself of something he already knew. Her exhale was hushed, thick by the passionate memories. She closed her eyes allowing the memories to wash over her and consume her completely.

It was a moment when she had wondered that maybe she's on the last stage of love. The mare thought had her heart beating wildly against her chest. She closed her eyes tightly silently pleading her heart to quite down yet it roared in her ears.

Her breath was hushed, thick with the memories. The memories made her body heat up. The thoughts that roamed in her mind were unfiltered,  toring the mask of innocence and taking her to another world of heated sensations.

The more she got, the more she wanted of him, the sensations of his fingers roaming over her skin made her skin tingle. He was like an addiction, an addiction she never wanted to let go off. The thoughts that clouded her mind were not at all innocent, they were intense, laced with passion, a mixture of yearning and a strange but lovable craving for more.

Dhruv ji.

Her heart skipped a beat, her breath audibly hitched in her chest as she held the kalam, lost in the haze of those memories, she wrote, the words she penned were unfiltered, a reflection to the thoughts that clouded her mind.

Apne honton se tujhe chhuna chahati hoon
Teri bahon mein sama jana chahati hoon.
Dil mein jo aag jal rahi hai
Teri pyaas se usse bujhana chahati hoon

Her exhale was hushed, thick with the heady blend of memories, undeluted want and an all consuming passionate love she had for him.

She couldn't help but close her eyes. Her heart pounding wildly against her chest. The sensations that coursed through her vains were in form of delicate shivers but it's impact was making her head spin. Her grip on the kalam tightened slightly as she wrote.

Aao aaj ji lein iss pal ko
Jisme sirf madhoshi ka alam ho
Koi na jane kya ho kal ko
Bas saup diya maine khud ko.
Apne sanam ko
Akhir kyun hai yeh doori
Kyun sehni hai majboori
Ker de chahaton ki hadon ko aaj paar

She gulped the lump that formed in her throat and sighed. Her heart thudding in her chest. Heat flooded through her heart as she tried to gather some courage to pen down the next lines.

Aur dikha de
Sache pyaar ki nahin hoti hai haar

She breathed out, finally allowing herself to lose the battle which was going on between her heart and brain, finally allowing herself to love him with everything she has. Earlier the thought of Tara was stopping her and pulling her back, not allowing her to take a step towards him but when yesterday he understood her insecurities even without her saying a word. She understood that he's falling for her, she was the person he was falling for, she was the person he was always thinking about, that he was hers by mind, heart and soul.

She felt a strange madness, strange possessiveness which she never felt before. The mare thought of him leaving her filled her with a sense of abandonment and pain. At this moment, she knew that he was hers and she was his by all means, she knew that if someone tried to snatch him away from her, she'll destroy everything that come her way. Her was the reason of her existence, she could no longer imagine a life without him.

Teri sanson se mil jayen meri sansein
Teri baaton mein ghul jaye meri baatein
Ab toh bas yehi dua hai rab se
Ke tu aur main humesha sath rahein.

The kalam fell on the desk with a soft click. She placed a hand on her wildly beating heart silently begging it to quite down yet it roared in her ears.

Apne honton se tujhe chhuna chahati hoon
Teri bahon mein sama jana chahati hoon
Dil mein jo aag jal rahi hai
Teri pyaas se usse bujhana chahati hoon
Aao aaj ji lein iss pal ko
Jis mein sirf madhoshi ka alam ho
Koi na jane kya ho kal ko
Bas saup diya maine khud ko
Mere sanam ko
Akhir kyun hai yeh doori
Kyun sehni hai majboori
Ker de chahaton ki hadon ko aaj paar
Aur dikha de sache pyaar ki nahin hoti hai haar
Teri sanson mein mil jayen meri sansein
Teri baaton mein ghul jayen meri baatein
Ab toh yehi dua hai rabb se
Ke tu aur mein hamesha sath rahein.

An overwhelming sense of love and belonging washed over her. She took a shaky breath, she curled her hands into fist and placed a hand under her chin. She felt goosebumps travel all over her skin. She could still feel his lips, his delicate touches, his delicate kisses over herself, all the sensation made her shiver. She was no longer the innocent Astha, she knew how pleasure tastes like, how to be loved feels like.

Astha.

Dhruv called her out. His voice caressed with sleep. She came out of her thoughts and hurriedly placed the paper in the drawer after folding it. She stood up and rushed to him, the anklets that Dhruv had given her chimed creating a beautiful melody of it's own.

Uth gaye aap? Thodi der aur so jate.

Astha exclaimed, her hands gently cupping his face, fingers stroking his cheeks with a blend of love and tenderness.

Dhruv pouted, a cute gesture as he widened his eyes. He gently pulled her close and placed his head on her shoulder causing her heart to melt. She wrapped her arms around him.

Sab galti aapki hai?

Dhruv said, his voice laced with gentle accusation. Astha chuckled softly, her hand reaching up to caress his hair.

Aapki adat ho gayi humein. Aapke bina nidra nahin aati hai.

Dhruv confessed, a mixture of honesty and vulnerability lacing his words.

Astha,s heart swelled with a mixture of love and an overwhelming tenderness hearing him. Tears clouded her eyes which she controlled. She caressed his hair tenderly smiling.

She pulled away from the hug, her hands still cupping his face, she spoke meeting his gaze, her voice a mixture of love and sincerity

Acha?

She gently placed her lips on his cheek, in a tentative affectionate kiss which made his heart flutter.

Hum abhi aate hain phir sath chalenge. Akele mat jaiyega.

Dhruv said softly and stood up.

She also stood up and said with a dramatic bow.

Jo adesh humare akka.

Dhruv chuckled, a rich hearty sound dancing in the air.

Later!!!

Astha stood in front of the mirror. Dhruv stood behind her, together, they looked perfect.

Aa gaye aap?

Astha asked softly. Dhruv hugged her from behind placing his chin on her shoulder. Dhruv trembled slightly. His hot breath fanning the long of her neck making her shiver.

Aa gaye.

Dhruv replied turning her around. Astha smiled. She reached out for the multicolored small box of sindoor and stood in front of him. Dhruv smiled softly and took a pinch of sindoor in between his fingers. He filled her partition. Astha closed her eyes in anticipation. Her heart fluttering in her chest. Some of the sindoor fell over her nose.

Pehli subha mubarak ho biwi sahab.

Dhruv said, his voice a mix of tenderness and affection. Astha could feel the red blush coloring her cheeks and looked down.

Aapko bhi.

She whispered, fingers twisting into her pallu out of shyness.

Dhruv smiled locking his fingers with hers as he said, his voice a mix of sincerity and a promise.

Ab koi aapke charitra per prashan nahin utha payega.
