Sarah POV

Today is the day we finally escape Chicago, I've been waiting for this day for months. Sky and I are on our way to the weak point in the wall right now, I'm praying to God that there's nobody there.

Luckily we haven't run into any Decepticons, yet. There's little to no security down this alley headed towards the wall, the most security I saw was a cat licking itself while sitting on a dumpster.

Sky and I are almost to the wall, we can see it from here. But I heard a voice just up ahead.

"I can't believe that I have to guard this wall." It was female. There are no female Decepticons that we know of.

"Did you hear that?" Sky whispers to me. I nod.

The alley opened up to a small park. We ducked behind a little hill and peered over, there was a robot no taller than us both. Oh my god, it was our favorite animatronic from our childhood.

Only, she looks scary. The Decepticons turned everything mechanical in the city into killing machines, even her. Her name is Spring. She's all by herself, pacing back and forth.

She had been upgraded, big time. Now there's a gun as a hand, a long steel tail, red eyes, and claws. I only recognized her voice.

Sky accidentally hit a can. We both flinch. Spring perked up, she heard us.

"Who's there?" She aimed her gun in our direction. We stay absolutely quiet, hoping she would just think we're cats. There was silence for a few minutes.

Sky sighs of relief. Then a hand on the back of my neck lifted me up, as well as my sister. We were thrown out into the open, I turned my head to see Spring standing there.

"Looks like I've found the two 'heroes' giving those speeches. Lord Megatron will be quite pleased." She laughed.

"Spring?" Sky asks.

Spring looked rather surprised, "You know my name? I haven't heard my real name since Megatron gave me life."

"It's us, Sarah and Sky. We first met you when we were 9, 8 years ago. Do you remember?" I ask.

Spring squints her eyes and stays quiet for a minute. She then smiles, a kind and warming smile. She then comes towards the both of us and hugged us tightly.

"I remember you guys, you two grew up so fast. I'm surprised that you're both still alive." Spring said.

"You're hurting us...." I struggled to breathe.

Spring let go, "I'm sorry, I've been upgraded as you can see. So what are you two doing?"

"We're trying to escape this city to get help." Sky said.

"For you two, anything. You were my favorite patrons. I got you covered, get behind me." Spring aimed her gun hand at the wall, it hummed as it was getting ready to fire.

Sky and I stood behind her as Spring fired, chunks of concrete flew beside us as we covered our heads. There was now a hole big enough for all of  us to get through, I can't leave Spring behind, and I don't think Sky can either. 

"Good luck you two." Spring whispered to us.

"Aren't you coming?" I ask her.

"Really? You want me to come?" She asked.

"Yeah! You're our friend, and you always will be." Sky mentioned.

"Okay!" Spring said joyously.

Sky went through the hole first, then Spring, then me. We see the far out green land of Illinois, it's been so long since any of us have seen it. I look at my sister, "It's been so long..."

"I know, and Spring has never seen it." Sky included.

"It's gorgeous..." She marveled at the sight of the world beyond the wall.

There were alarms starting to blare. We all took off in the direction of freedom, hoping that no Decepticons were giving chase. We will return to our home city, but for now, we're going to gather reinforcements. In other words, the Autobots.

It's short, I know. But it's been a while since I've updated this one and I wanted to change that! So here is Chapta 2!
