Everyday life

Sky POV

My sister and I are the only ones left, the only humans to not be either disintegrated or chipped by the Decepticons. They either killed the people who were innocent, or they chipped the worst criminals to be their slaves. But on rare occasions, they would find some humans just to keep them as pets. It's been almost a year since the battle of Chicago, and the Decepticons turned our beloved city into a fortress.

All of our friends are gone, including our parents. But we've made it this far and still going strong. I haven't given up, neither has my sister. We both are well experienced in combat, and we have challenged Megatron multiple times.

We figured out how to hack into the giant monitors the Cons have placed all over the city for 'special announcements'. So when Sarah and I have the chance, we hack into them, cover our faces and give out freedom speeches. It sure makes Megatron mad, and he's done everything he can to find us.

But he can't.

"Sky, see any Decepticons?" Sarah asks as she looks for food.

"No, none yet." I keep a lookout for those wretched robots. If only the Autobots were here, they could help us take back Chicago. It wouldn't be just me and Sarah fighting the Decepticons anymore.

Then we hear heavy metal footsteps. Decepticons. I look through my binoculars and see the cyclops, Shockwave.

"Hide!" I hiss. Sarah and I duck behind a dumpster and keep absolutely quiet, we feel the ground beneath us shaking with each step he took. Then we heard his footsteps get quieter, and he was gone.

"That was too close." Sarah said.

"Yeah, let's get back to the hideout." I say.

Our hideout is one of the tallest buildings that's still standing, it was an old office building. It's only a city block away, and there's no cons in sight. We dart across the street and listen for anyone, nothing.

The hideout is just up ahead, and we sneak our way to the front entrance. Still no Decepticons, were safe. Sarah heads in first, and I follow. We take the flight of stairs all the way to the top, it's what's given us our strength.

We reach the top and look out the large glass windows, watching Decepticon soldiers marching through the streets, looking for us. But they've never found us, nor will they ever.

"You hungry? I found some cans of coke and soup." Sarah said as she opened a can of soup.

"Thank you." I take the can from her. I look around our current living space.

Our hideout has a small couch from the lounge, a water machine, a desk with 4 drawers, and the room where we broadcast our freedom speeches. It may not be much, but it's our home.

"We need to get out of this city, come back with reinforcements." I said.

"Are you crazy? It's nearly impossible to escape the city since the Cons took over. Not even military can escape, what makes you think we can?" Sarah asks.

I put my can of soup down and head over to the desk, I open the top drawer, pulling out the plans of the wall the Decepticons have built. I found these a long time ago, examining for weak points or low security. I found a weak and unguarded place this morning.

"See this?" I point to the weak point.

"A weak spot! And almost no security!" Sarah whispered.

"Exactly, so pack some essentials. Food, water, clothes, also some grenades." I say.

We've found grenades all over this city, human grenades. They'll come in handy. I check my grenades, I got five left.

It's time we get out of this hellhole.
