"What?"

"I'm pregnant."

"With what?!" Danny's eyes were so wide.

"Daniel."

"I thought you were just going to brunch!  How'd you get a baby?"

"I haven't been feeling well but I didn't think I was pregnant.. I thought the cancer was back and.. I was wrong."

"Jessica, are you sure?"

"Yeah.  We can't say anything yet.  I made an appointment with my doctor on Wednesday.  I don't know how far along I am.. I just know that it's in there."

"How did.. how did..
I just don't understand how this happened."

Jessica sits down on the couch and says, "I'm thinking Gran Canaria and one too many mojitos on the beach.. Now it's rockabye baby!" Jessica shuts her eyes and slightly rocks back and forth.

Danny nods his head and is still not blinking.

"What are we gonna do about it?"

"What?"

"Are you gonna.. are you gonna have it?"

"What kind of a question is that!"

"I'm sorry!  I didn't.. I'm just in shock."

"..Yeah.. I am."

"Okay."

Danny sits beside her.  It was quiet and very awkward.

Finally he broke the silence.
"So I should cancel the trip?"

Jessica purses her lips and gives him and evil glance.

One hour before.

"Jessica.. I've looked over your results and.. I don't know how you'll take this but-"

"Just say it!" Jessica snaps.

"Mrs. Huston, you're pregnant."

"What?"

"What?!" Sarah says loudly.

"You're pregnant."

"No.  No, no, no, I can't be.. I was here for cancer."

Her doctor couldn't help but chuckle.
"You're still one hundred percent cancer free!  You should be happy about that." He smiles.

"Yeah Je-Jess!  Be happy!" Sarah forces a smile even though on the inside she was freaking out.

"I'm almost fifty years old."

"You're forty seven." Sarah smiles.

"I-I-I can't be pregnant.  There's no way."

"Well if you'd like we can take you back so you can hear the heartbeat.  Maybe you'll feel a bit better then."

Jessica just stared at her doctor with wide eyes.

"Jess?  Answer him." Sarah says in a weird voice as she pats Jessica's back.

"I'm not pregnant."

Her doctor chuckles.
"Right this way, Mrs. Huston."

"I-I.. I can't move."

Sarah chuckles nervously.
"Let's go, mommy!"

Jessica looks at Sarah with a terrified expression.

"Just go, Jess."

Jessica laid down on the table and stayed motionless.

"Lift your shirt, sweetie." Sarah says.

Jessica turns to her and doesn't do or say anything.

"I-I'll help you." Sarah says pulling her blouse up.

Her doctor places the doppler on her belly and moves it around a bit.

"Where is it?" Jessica panicked a bit.

"It's okay honey, sometimes it takes a while to find it." Sarah pats her arm just as they both hear a loud thumping sound.

"Oh my gosh.." Jessica places her hand over her mouth.

"Well hot damn." Sarah says with wide eyes.

Jessica covers her face and cries.
She didn't know how to feel.  She didn't know if she should feel relieved that it was just a baby and not cancer, she didn't know if she should be mad, happy or terrified.  In a way she felt a bit of everything.

"Danny.. Oh God how am I gonna tell Danny?"

"I'm sure he'll be happy.."

"Sarah..
Oh gosh and my kids!  They're grown!  And Charlie!  Heh!  My granddaughter will be two and a half years older than my own child.  This baby will be born an aunt or an uncle!  Oh Jesus Christ, what have I done?!"

Back to Danny and Jessica.

"Where's Charlie?"

"She's upstairs taking a nap in our bed."

"Oh.. I think I'll join her."

"Alright.. you need anything?"

"The energy of a twenty year old."

Danny chuckles.
"I know. Today I was at the park with Charlie and I was thinking, 'Wow! I'm getting old. Thank God she's my granddaughter.' But now.. heh! Do they have a potion of youth?"

Jessica smiles softly and nods her head before walking upstairs.

Danny waits for her to walk up before he really starts freaking out.

"A baby?! I baby! We're having a baby! This is nuts! How the hell are gonna do this?!"

Meanwhile Jessica quietly walks into her bedroom and sees Charlotte sleeping peacefully.
Jessica smiles and slowly gets into bed.

Charlotte was a very light sleeper so she started to move around.

"Shh, shh, shh."

Jessica's shooshing didn't work because as soon as she saw her grandmother she was all smiles.

"Gamma!"

"Hi baby girl!  Did you have a nice nap?"

"Yeah!  Play wit me?"

"Grandma's tired, baby."

"We Watch toons?"

"Sure, we can watch cartoons."

Jessica reaches over for the remote and Charlotte snatches it away from her.

"I gots it!"

"Okay." Jessica chuckles.

"Gamma ook!  It da puppy dogs!"

"I see that!" Jessica smiles.

Jessica places her hand on Charlotte's leg so she feels if she tries to get off of the bed.

Jessica closed her eyes for a second and Charlotte hits her face.

"No sweep!  Up gamma!  Up! Up!"

Jessica opens her eyes and looks at Charlotte with exhaustion.

"Grandma wants to sleep though."

"You wanna cuddle me?"

"I would love to, baby!" Jessica giggles.

"My mama likes to cuddle me when she has nap time too!"

"Oh does she?" Jessica smiles.

"Yeah! She say I so warm and cuddly!"

Jessica giggles as she holds Charlotte in her arms.
Charlotte rests her hand on Jessica's stomach and looks up to her grandmother falling asleep.

Charlotte let her have a good five minutes before she was over nap time.

"Gamma wake up!" Charlotte pushes into Jessica's stomach.

"Hm?  No Charlotte, don't do that!"

"Why?!"

"Grandma is sick with her tummy so don't do it again, okay?"

"Okay!  I sowy, I kiss it!"

Charlotte kisses Jessica's belly making her smile.

"I kiss yous tummy so you all better now!"

"Thank you so much, baby girl!"

"You welcome!  Gamma, can I have a kitty cat?"

"Nope!" Jessica laughs.

"Awe man!"

Wednesday.

"Are you nervous?" Danny asks Jessica.

"A little bit... okay a lot.
I just hope the baby's okay.  I know since I'm older there's a greater chance of things going wrong but.. *Sighs* I'm sure it's okay."

"I'm sure you're right, baby girl." Danny reaches over and holds her hand.

This time around things felt so different. She felt so much older than anyone else in the doctors office. Jessica had a very youthful face but of course she didn't think so.

"Jessica?" The nurse calls for her.

"Oh! Ready, baby?" Jessica pats Danny's thigh.

"Sure. Let's go."

They took her to the back, asked the routine questions, checked her weight and blood pressure, then they waited for the doctor.

"I'm so nervous."

"It'll be okay, babe."

"Danny, I don't even know what my birth plan should be."

"We always have the same one."

"But it's different now. What if something goes wrong and I'm at home?"

"Well we have some time to think about it." Danny says as the doctor walks in.

"Well, well, well! Look who's back! I knew you two couldn't stand only having Four kids!"

Jessica chuckles nervously.

"How are you feeling?"

"Nauseous." Danny answers.

"Heh! Well I was talking to mommy but I'm so sorry you're feeling sick!" Her doctor smiles at Danny.

Jessica rolls her eyes.
"I had a bit of morning sickness today, but other than that, I'm just really really tired."

"Okay, well why don't we check on this baby?"

"Alright." Jessica lays back and lifts her shirt.

"Do you remember when your last period was?" Her doctor asks feeling around her stomach.

"Uh.. no I don't. They haven't really been regular. I figured I was going through menopause.. obviously not." Jessica looks down at her stomach making her doctor laugh.

"I was thinking back though and the last time we had unprotected sex was in March.. March eighth I'd say.."

"Well I think you're further along than that. I can feel your uterus so I'd say about twelve weeks."

"Twelve weeks?!"

"Yes But we'll do an ultrasound for a more accurate result."

Before the ultrasound her doctor listens for the baby's heartbeat.

Jessica looks at Danny when they hear the sound of their baby.
Danny just chuckles and nods his head.

"So it wasn't a late April fools joke, huh?"

"Stop it!" Jessica says cutely.

"I'm just playing, hun.
Wow.." Danny takes a deep breath.

"The last doctor you saw.. did he happen to mention the possibility of multiple babies."

"As in more than one?" Jessica asks with a straight face.

"We didn't even order the one!" Danny says loudly.

"I'm just asking because it sounds like there could be more than one but let's look on the ultrasound."

"Jessica." Danny stands up and walks closer to her.

"Just calm down, we don't know yet."

Her doctor squirts gel on her belly and scans the transducer over the lower part of her tummy.

"Oh wow. That's-that's.. that's definitely two babies, isn't it." Jessica says.

"Yes it is! Congratulations!" She smiles.

"Twins? Twins? Jess. Twins!"

"I know, babe."

"I'd say you're about eight weeks by the way the look on here. They're not identical twins, they have two separate sacs so you could have two boys, two girls or one of each!"

"And that's it!" Danny says.

"Twins.. Danny, we're having twins." Jessica chuckles.

Danny let's out a deep breath and smiles softly.
"We're gonna have six kids."

"Holy shit!"

After leaving the doctors office they went back home.
Charlotte was at Evan and Sarah's so they had the house to themselves.

"Danny?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you happy about the babies?"

"I don't know if Happy is the word, Jess." Danny chuckles.

"Danny!" Jessica whines.

He turns to her and she was on the verge of tears.

"Hey, Hey.. I'm just playing with you.  It's definitely a shock but.. I guess it's pretty cool we get to do this.. All over again."

Jessica chuckles with tears in her eyes.

"I'm so scared but I love them, Danny.  They're our babies and I want you to be happy.. or at least try to be happy."

"I am happy, Jess!  I'm sorry if I upset you.  I promise you that's not what I wanted at all."

Jessica nods softly before Danny hugs her.

"I love you, Princess."

"I love you too, Danny."

"Hey and you know what's cool?"

"What?"

"We lost our twins thirteen years ago and now we're getting two little babies now."

"That's right." Jessica smiles.

Danny gets on his knees and places two kisses on Jessica's belly.

"You two are definitely a big surprise but mommy and daddy love you so so much."

Jessica smiles with tears in her eyes as she runs her fingers through Danny's hair.

May 24th.
13 weeks pregnant.

"Danny, I'm getting so big!"

"Yeah I noticed." He laughs.

"Danny!" Jessica whines and bounces up and down.

"I'm just playing."

"Dan, The kids have their graduation party tonight and I don't have anything to wear!"

"I'm sure there's something in there, babe."

"No there's not! I got rid of all my maternity clothes!"

"You want me to take you shopping?"

"Yes!"

"Alright, let's go. You wanna pack up Charlie?"

"Can you do it, please? I have to pee."

"And so it begins." Danny chuckles.

"I have two babies just chilling out on my bladder!"

"Okay, I'm sorry." Danny smiles cutely.

"How does this look?"

"Looks good, baby." Danny smiles with Charlotte on his lap drinking apple juice from her sippy cup.

"You look pwetty gwandma!"

"Thank you, baby girl!"

"You look fat too."

Danny starts laughing then quickly stops and covers Charlotte's mouth.

"Don't say that, that's not nice."

"She does!  You tummy is big gwandma!"

"Thanks, Charlie." Jessica says before walking back into the dressing room.

"Hey! That wasn't nice! Next time grandma comes out you tell her she looks beautiful and not fat, okay?"

"But she looks fat!"

"But we don't say that! That's not nice."

"Okay."

Jessica walks out in the next outfit and Danny smiles.
"Baby you look so beautiful!"

"Stop lying."

"I'm not! Isn't she beautiful, Charlie?"

Charlotte drinks her sippy and gives Jessica a thumbs up.

Jessica laughs and Charlotte yanks the sippy cup away from her mouth.
Breathing heavy she says, "It's okay if you fat."

"You little stinker!" Jessica laughs.

"Jess, when are we telling the kids about the ba-"

"Shh! She repeats everything!" Jessica points to the stroller.

"Oops, I forgot!"

"I don't know.. Gabriella is coming in for the party tonight.. we'll all be together so maybe tomorrow? Oh God I'm gonna throw up!" Jessica grabs her stomach.

"How do you think they'll react?"

"Well Gabriella will be.. Gabriella! She's honest and doesn't care about other people's feelings, Isaiah might be okay, Noah has no room to talk about us at least we're out of fucking high school! And Anastasia.. oh lord she's gonna roast us!"

Danny chuckles and rubs her back.
"It'll be okay, don't worry about it."

That evening they all went to the graduation party for Noah, Anastasia, John and Kenley.

"Momma!" Gabriella runs in.

She had just gotten in so she was exhausted but so excited to see her family.

"My baby girl! Oh I've missed you so much! You look so beautiful!"

"So do you! Did you get your lips done?" Gabriella smiles.

"No!" Jessica laughs and touches her mouth.

"Well they look nice!"

As the party went on Jessica quickly became exhausted.

"How are you, honey?" Kathy sits beside her.

"I'm okay." Jessica smiles softly.

"You feelin okay?"

"Mhm." Jessica nods.

"I'm just tired."

"Jess, is something up? You seem off. Just tell me the truth!"

"Honey, I'm fine!"

"Okay.."

"Kathy?"

"Yeah?"

"I have to tell you something but you have to promise me you won't say anything."

"I promise!"

"I'm pregnant."

"You're what!" Kathy stands up.

"Shh! Quiet!!!"

"I'm sorry! Jessica!  Pregnant?" Kathy whispers.

"Yeah.. I'm terrified. Kathy, it's twins."

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

"I'm serious."

"Man, I just thought you were gaining weight and maybe got your lips done!  I would have never though you were pregnant!"

"Yeah well.. surprise!" Jessica chuckles.

Danny's POV.

"So Danny, now that the kids are all grown up, what are yours and Jessica's plans?"

"Oh gosh.. Ryan, you have no idea!"

"What?" Ryan laughs.

Danny takes a sip of his drink and turns to him.
"Jessica is pregnant."

"Shut the fuck up."

"With twins, Ryan.  Why do you think I'm drinking so much?"

"Are you kidding me?"

"Nope!  She's havin my babies!"

"Wow.. little Jessie."

"She's not so little anymore, those baby's have popped!  Plus she bloated because she had three fucking plates!  She's stuck in that chair because she can't fucking move, Ryan!"

Ryan laughs and pats Danny's back.
"This is.. Hilarious!" He laughs even harder.

Ryan went outside to smoke a cigarette and Kathy went out to talk to him.

"So uh.. anything new?" Kathy asks.

"Oh uh.. nothing much really."

"Hm.."

"Why, do you know something?"

"I might." Kathy smirks.

"Well I definitely do!"

"What?"

"I'm not gonna tell you!"

"Well I won't tell you what I know!  Neither one of them!"

Ryan gasps.
"You know!"

"Yes I do!"

"About Jess?  About the babies?"

"Yes!"

"Oh my gosh this so the same thing that happened when we found out she was pregnant with Gabriella except we're way older!"

Kathy laughs and hugs Ryan.
"This is so crazy!  They are going to finally lose their shit!" Kathy shouts.

"Mommy, gwandma is so fat now!"

"Charlotte!  That's not a nice thing to say!"

"Her tummy though!  Why is she so fat?  Is she eating too many snackies?"

"Charlie, stop that!" Kenley tries to hold in her laughter.

"Excuse me, everyone!" Gabriella gets everyone's attention.

"Hi!  Firstly I just want to say how proud I am of John, Kenny and my baby brother and sister!  You four have worked so hard.  Noah, Ken, you faced a very tough obstacle but you handled it amazingly.  Charlotte must be so proud of her parents."

Noah and Kenley both smile, then turn to Charlotte who is running around and getting into everyone's business.

"John, you didn't kill my brother when he knocked your sister up so you totally deserve an award!" Gabriella says making everyone laugh.

"Anastasia.. my Princess Ana.. you get your brains from your big sister!" She smiles.

"Right!" Anastasia scoffs.

"Haha!  No seriously.. I love you and.. you're honestly a huge inspiration to me, little sis.  You're so incredible and I'm extremely proud of you.  You're smart and talented.. but Hey!  It runs in the family!" Gabriella smirks.

Anastasia laughs.  She was so happy to hear these things from her older sister.

"Now um.. I actually have an announcement to make!
Julio and I will be taking a little break and moving back to New Orleans!"

"Oh my gosh!" Jessica shouts with excitement.

"We need a year off of the stage to plan our wedding!" Gabriella smiles big.

"What?!" Jessica shouts.

"Already knew!" Danny chuckles.

"How?!" Jessica smacks his arm.

"Julio called and asked if he could ask her and I said yes!"

"My baby's getting married!" Jessica cries.

Anastasia looks at her sister and gave her an evil glance before going over and playing nice.
"Congratulations, sis." Anastasia hugs her.

The next morning Danny had a pounding headache and Jessica was in the bathroom with horrible morning sickness.
All of the kids were home so today was the day!

Jessica walks over with her hand on her stomach and her hair a mess.
Danny was laying on his stomach with his puke bucket on the ground.

Jessica sat on the bed and looked at Danny.
"Aren't we just a lovely couple?"

During breakfast Jessica became extremely nervous.  She cleared her throat and decided to just get it over with.

"Kids.. your father and I have something very important tell you all."

"Is everything okay?" Isaiah asks.

"Yeah!  Uh.. I-I'm-"

"You couldn't have at least let us have our moment?" Anastasia throws her fork down and looks at Gabriella.

"What?" Gabriella looks at her like she's crazy.

"Last night!  That was our night and you had to announce your engagement!"

"Ana, I didn't mean to make you upset, I-"

"Save it!  All you care about is yourself!"

"Kids!" Danny shouts.

"No dad!  This wasn't about her, yet she has to find a way to somehow make it about GABRIELLA!  It's so irritating!"

"Kids, I'm pregnant!" Jessica blurts out.

"With what a baby fossil?  Mom, are you kidding?" Anastasia asks with an attitude.

Jessica huffs.

"Your mother is telling you the truth!" Danny says.

"Mom?  Are you serious?  A menopause baby?  Really?!" Gabriella makes a face.

"Ugh!  Let's just drop it, please."

"No!  No, we're not going to!  Kids, your mother is pregnant!  It was an accident and obviously this wasn't planned but.. we'll still love these babies no matter what."

"Babies?" Isaiah widen his eyes.

"It's twins.  and we will all be there for your mother as she goes through this pregnancy, right?"

"Oh no!" Gabriella grabs her face as she widens her eyes.

"What?!" Jessica asks.

"You're gonna be fat on my wedding day!"

"Oh God!" Jessica rolls her eyes and groans.

"You know what, Danny?  Maybe these babies will grow up to be nice and respectful children.  Unlike the assholes we have now!"

"I think-I THINK.. I might have just peed myself." Noah tells Kenley as he stares at the table without blinking.

Kenley laughs and says, "Aunt Jessie, Uncle Danny, I'm happy for you guys!"

"Thank you, sweetie." Jessica spoke in a low voice.

"Charlotte!  Grandma and Grandpa are gonna have a baby!"

"That's why her tummy is big!" Danny chuckles.

"A baby?!" Her eyes go wide.

"Two babies!" Jessica smiles.

"My gwandma And gwandpa gonna have babies?!  Oh my gosh this is so nuts!  It's just too crazy, guys!" Charlotte grabs her head and nods.

"She's just like a little Gabby." Danny chuckles.

"You two are way too old to have babies!"

"Charlotte, that's enough!" Kenley puts some food in Charlotte's mouth to get her to stop talking.

"Old lady having a baby.." Charlotte nods her head and tisks.

"This girl!  She's two but thinks she's a big girl!"

"I am a big girl!  I no baby!" She shouts and points to her mother.

"Can I see the babies now?"

"We have a picture of them but they don't really look like babies yet.  Wanna show her Grandpa?"

Danny grabs the picture and shows Charlotte.

"That's no babies!  Those is monsters!"

"They're not monsters!" Jessica laughs.

"I tink I Right and they no babies!" Charlotte rolls her eyes and hands the picture to her grandmother.
