A week later Isaiah and Emily flew back to New Orleans.  Emily has been going through a lot right now and just needs to be with family.
Isaiah will be finishing school back at home.  Isaiah loves where they were but his wife was way more important to him.

When their parents heard the news they were of course very excited to have their children back home.

Until they find a place they are going to be staying with Danny and Jessica.  The twins love having more people in the house.  It's been way too empty for them lately.

"Zaya, me and Emmy gots new wittle puppy dogs!  Mines is a girl and hers name is Momo.  Emmy's is a boy and-"

Isaiah chuckles and pets the puppy. "Thank you, Emerson! He's so cool!"

"HEY mines is cool too!" Willow grabs her puppy by the collar and drags her towards Isaiah.

"Yours is so cool too, Willow!"

.. Mines is better." Willow whispers that last part.

"Nuh UH! Mommy, Lo Lo says hers is better!"

Jessica sighs and shakes her head. "Twenty four fucking seven!"

Isaiah laughs.

"Why don't you and Danny go out on a little date tonight? Zay and I can watch the kids." Emily suggests.

"Oh honey, you guys don't have to do that-"

"WE ACCEPT!" Danny smiles.

"We accept!" Jessica laughs and shrugs.

That evening Danny drove her to one of their favorite restaurants.  They both ordered a glass of wine and had some much needed adult time.

"Is it just me or is parenting this time around so much more exhausting?" Jessica asks.

"Oh yes!  Definitely!  Maybe cause we're both over fifty." He chuckles.

"I'm sure that's it.  Plus the twins are wild, babe!  I love them with all my heart but They Are Insane!"

Danny laughs. "They are pretty nuts."

"But they're so cute!  They're like little munchkins compared to our first batch." Jessica smiles.

Danny laughs and nods his head. "They are!  They're gonna be short!"

..Oh gosh, remember when you booked our European trip because you were so excited to have me all to myself?  Then I came home and told you I was pregnant?" Jessica laughs.

"Yes!  Oh gosh, that was a shock!"

"I was not prepared for that at all.  Not Prepared!" Jessica chuckles.

"Neither was I! Oh gosh.. You were cute though!  I know you were uncomfortable but that big ol belly was so adorable!"

"Thanks!" Jessica smiles. "You have no idea how happy I am knowing I will never be pregnant again!"

Danny chuckles. "No one does pregnancy like my Babydoll."

"I did rock it, didn't I?" Jessica smiles.

"You did!" Danny laughs.

After a while Danny stopped drinking so he could drive back.  Jessica had a few more glasses so she was just a bit tipsy.

As Danny drove Jessica reached over and softly caressed his thigh.

As Jessica spoke to her son, she could tell something was bothering him.

"I don't think you are. Let me go up and change, and I'll be back so we can talk."

Danny and Jessica make their way upstairs.

After a few minutes Jessica went downstairs in fresh pajamas.

"I thought you guys set on surrogacy?"

Jessica pouts and rubs her thumb over his hand.

"I want a baby that's the perfect mixture of Emily and I.. I just love her so much! When you love someone, that's what you do.. you make a baby as a product of your love.. at least most people do.. I'm not saying I don't want to adopt but.. I don't know, it's hard to explain."

"I understand, honey."

Isaiah nods and looks down. "..I asked her if she would feel more comfortable if maybe we asked someone in the family to be a carrier, but she said she could never ask that of someone."

In that moment something in Jessica's mind clicked. There is a way to make her baby boy's dreams come true, and she was going to make sure that happened, no matter what.

"Isaiah!" Jessica places her hand on his arm.

"What?"

"I'll do it."

"Do what?"

"I'll have the baby!"

"What?!"

"Let Me carry the baby!" She smiles.

"Oh mom, we couldn't ask you to do that-"

"You're not asking! I'm offering. Please! Let me do this for you, Isaiah."

"Aren't you.. aren't you going through menopause?"

"Isaiah James Huston, you are studying to be a doctor, don't you know anything? They can give me medicine that makes me start ovulating again!"

"Momma, this is another nine months of pregnancy. Another birth! You really don't have to do this."

"Isaiah.. when you become a parent, nothing is about you anymore. Your goal in life is to keep your children happy and healthy.. I love you, Isaiah.. and knowing you're hurt, hurts me a hundred times more.
..and knowing there is something I can do to fix it.. honey, there is no question!" Jessica nods. "I will do whatever it takes to give you and Emily the baby you deserve."

Tears roll down Isaiah's cheeks. "Mom.. you would seriously do this?"

"Yes! Honey, I'll do anything in the world for you and your brothers and sisters! Emily won't have to worry because she knows me and she knows I'll do anything to protect my grandchild!"

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe this! I need to go wake Emily!"

"No you might accidentally wake the twins! Please don't!"

Isaiah laughs.

"Mom! You're the best mom ever!" He says hugging her tightly.

"I know I am!" Jessica laughs through her tears.
