Two weeks later.

Counseling.

"He hurt me.  He. . he slept with another woman, and I didn't think I could ever forgive him. . but then I almost lost him. . . and that. ." Jessica sniffles and clenches the crumbled tissue in her hands. "That made me realize I still love him. . and I don't want this to be over.  But how do I go on?  How do I make love to a man who was with another woman?  How do I give him that part of me?"

"Danny, how does what Jessica is saying make you feel?"

Danny stared down at the table and took a long pause. "It breaks my heart." Tears come to his eyes and he changes his focus. "I love this woman more than anything.  I would give my life for her in a second.  What happened was a drunken mistake.  Not that that makes it any easier to deal with, or makes it less wrong.  I told her I'll fight.  I'll do whatever it takes because I want to earn her trust back.  I want to go back to the way we were before.  We may have been married for thirty plus years, but we couldn't keep our hands off of each other!  We have six kids as proof!"

"Danny!"

"Sorry.  It kills me that she doesn't feel comfortable with me anymore.  I want to touch her.  I want to make love to her.  I want her to feel safe again."

Jessica turned her head as tears rolled down her face.  She wanted all of that as well.  Jessica wondered if they would ever get back to that again.

Meanwhile at the house.

"I not eating, daddy." Jessie nods her head.

"And why not?"

"Cause me not like."

"Why?  I made it just like mommy!"

"No didn't!" She makes a face.

"Okay.  Fine." Isaiah sighs. "Well mom is at work.  Could I get you anything else?  Since I can't make a grilled cheese as perfect as mommy."

"You make me gwammas nana bwead." Jessie smiles.

"Grandma hasn't given daddy that recipe."

"Ugh!" Jessie makes a face and kicks her legs.

"Jessie's bad." Harvey says calmly eating his food.

"Yeeeeaahh!  Her a baby!" Hunter says.

"NO!  Sut up!"

"Jessica!" Isaiah says.

"NO!"

"Don't say that!  And boys, be nice."

"Want gwamma!" Jessie's eyes water and her bottom lip quivers.

"She and grandpa are busy."

"They're at counseling because mommy is mad at daddy." Emerson says.

"Don't repeat that, Em."

"To who?  We don't leave the house!"

"Still.  They'll be alright.  And they'll be home soon, and I'm positive if you ask grandma to make you banana bread she will certainly do it."

"Cause I her baby girl?" Jessie smiles.

"Yes you spoiled brat."

"Heyyy!" She pouts. "Sut up!"

"Jessica Noelle!"

"Dat my name!" She smiles.

Isaiah laughs and grabs his cheeks. "My mother gave birth to herself!  You are literally my mom in a baby body."

"I so silly!" Jessie giggles.

Danny and Jessica's POV.

The two sat in the car in complete silence for about two minutes.

"So. . how do you feel?" Danny asks.

"I feel. . I don't know. . . Talking to someone else about it helped me a little."

"Me too."

"She suggested going on little dates. . . what do you think about that?"

"I'd love that, Jess.  I miss spending time with you. . you know, when you're not in full mommy mode."

"Heh. . Yeah, I miss that too." Jessica then takes a deep breath as Danny reaches over and places his hand on hers.  Jessica looks down at their hands and he says, "We'll get there."

"Heh." Jessica's eyes water and she smiles softly. "You think so?"

"It's us, Jess!  Of course we will."

"I hope so." She says in a whisper.

"I love you.  You know that?"

Jessica nods her head.

"I do." There was then a short pause before Jessica said, "I love you too."

Danny takes her hand and kisses the back of it.

"Danny?"

"Yeah?"

"You wanna go for a drive?"

"Yeah.  Where should we go?"

"I have a huge craving for donuts."

"Are you pregnant?"

Jessica smiles and places her hand on her stomach. "Yep and it's Evan's baby."

"I deserve that.  It's just a joke, Danny, it's just a joke." He says to himself. "I still feel like beating Evan though."

"Leave my baby's daddy alone!"

"Jessica Lange, I'm begging you to stop this joke right now."

"I'm sorry!" Jessica laughs. "Back to the donuts!"

"We can go to that place you love.  Like old times?" Danny smiles.

Jessica smiles and nods. "Yeah."

"Let's go!"

"Damn it's still so good!"

"We came here when you were pregnant with Gabriella."

"Yep.  Gosh, that seems like just yesterday."

"It really does.  Time just goes by way too fast.  Now she's grown.  A very successful dancer.  An incredible wife, and mother.  One of the best daughters in the world."

Jessica tears up. "It feels like she was just a tiny bean in my belly.  They all were."

"Because of your hard work we have this beautiful family, Jessie."

"Well. . you were there too."

"Hah!  Yeah, I contributed, but you had the hard end of the deal."

"Yeah, I did have it a little harder than you, didn't I?"

"A lot harder!  I'm telling you if men had to give birth, we'd have one child, Jess."

Jessica laughs. "Oh no. . I would go through all of that pain today if I had to.  My children are my greatest accomplishment in life."

"Mine too." Danny smiles.

Jessica giggles.  Danny loved that little giggle of hers.

"This is nice." He said.

"Yeah, it is.  We just have to take it one day at a time.  This is kind of like our first date in a way."

"Yep."

Danny locked his fingers with hers and smiled. I remember something we did on our first date if we're wanting to recreate it."

"Shut up, Daniel."

"I'm sorry, I'm stupid."

"Yeah you are.  But Daniel, don't you remember we had sex before our first date?"

"Hell yeah I do!" He smiles. "But I also remember having sex on our first date." Danny says with a smirk.

Jessica laughs. "We did it like crazy back then."

Danny sighs. "We sure did.  Just couldn't get enough of each other."

"Nope."

"We were just-"

"Two fools in love."

Danny takes her hand and smiles softly. "Two fools in love."
