"This is the real you and this is the real me
Now we've seen the end and not even resentment is left
I've woken up from the sweet dream and I close my eyes."

//

Elianna is aware of the thoughts that accompany looks when she walks into a room.

she's used to it and she likes the attention. she's aware of what she's known for and although, in the past it made her shy away, now it makes her chin tilt higher as she smirks. she's just getting used to the positive now.

ball breaker, heartbreaker and now the one who got left. isn't that ironic bitch? karma likes you. but she's realised she's other things too... a good sister, friend and worker.

even now, when she walks into the florist to see her friends. a part of her hopes they think positive things about her and she can see the genuineness in their eyes. she chose her friends wisely and she can see that everyday.

she spots two customers that many don't see around. Yoongi and Maeve, both dressed in opposite colours of black and white as they converse with Zelda. the relatively new florist owner chats with them both, good friendly nature apparent as she fiddles with the mood board for Shira.

"i love your black hair." Zelda comments, gazing at Yoongi. "look at this undercut." she observes the bottom part of his head as he nods, unbothered by the compliment. he knows he looks good, it's nothing new.

Maeve agrees. "he prefers black."

"so are you guys getting more flowers soon?" Yoongi puts his arm around Maeve casually. she leans into him silently. "we'd love some."

Elianna and Jimin push open the glass door and walk inside. the sign still says closed. it's starting to become a hangout place for the friendship group. the duo both take the train together, at the end of work. it's the same routine everyday. they never feel alone since they're always surrounded by their friends. every single one is unique.

everyone greets one another when they arrive. it's a comfortable and nice environment in which Jimin hugs his wife, Maeve smiles and Yoongi and Elianna acknowledge everyone through nods and half smiles.

"nice to see you Jimin." Yoongi meets the small boy's eyes.

"you're not here to bicker at me are you?"

Yoongi smiles then. "oh you know i love teasing you." he pokes his stomach as Jimin squirms, moving away and joining Zelda behind the counter. Elianna thinks about the place she's standing, this is where Jimin and Zelda met for the first time- just above the cash counter. love at first sight.

"hi Maeve, how are you?" Jimin smiles politely before wrapping his arms around Zelda happily. his hair falls into his eyes as he kisses her nose. "and how is my lovely wife?" no one minds them. they're affectionate, both physically and emotionally and their love story is pleasing to the eyes.

"hi Maeve." Elianna stands close. "did you manage to get some soap for your dickhead boyfriend?" she questions, smile playfully on show.

"i tried sis."

Elianna overhears Jimin talking to Zelda with an expected sigh. the blonde lowers his head, tutting. "Talulah is having an episode..." he trails off as his pretty face swirls into an emotion of sadness at the image.

Elianna can't help but stare at the ground, lowering her gaze because she hopes Talulah is okay. she can see the distressful image too. mood up. mood down. their fellow friend has a diagnose bipolar disorder and occasionally, she has episodes that ruin her daily routine and entire progress. today is one of those days and as friends, they know Taehyung will be there for her and they just have to stand back.

"hey, can i talk to you?" Yoongi interrupts her thoughts.

"yeah sure." Elianna makes her way outside as the door shuts behind them. the two stand outside of the florist, both breathing in the spring air. it's freezing as Elianna puts her hands in her pockets and Yoongi tugs his jacket over his chest, nose scrunching.

"what then?"

"so i was thinking..." Yoongi starts. the both of them stand with their sides towards Two Euphoric Hearts next door obliviously. "have you thought about perhaps... patching things up with Jungkook before the wedding? so you can clear the air?"

"for closure and just no arguments."

the older male suddenly seems hesitant in continuing. he doesn't like how Elianna stares at him with what could be interpreted as an angry glare. it's like looking into a fucking mirror, he rolls his eyes. "i don't need to since i obviously won't be attending." he states, thinking about how Shira has never had a good perception of the boy. to her, he's toxic and a negative influence. he's never fought against her beliefs because at one point, he used to look in the mirror and see the same thing.

Elianna takes in Yoongi's needed words and his honesty lacing them together. she chews on her tasteless gum, not meeting his determining gaze as she thinks about what to say. she hasn't thought about patching things up with Jungkook at all, for the sake of a wedding and less awkwardness? she isn't sure her ego could take it.

but it would be nice to have closure, to not hate him anymore.

of fucking course, Elianna thinks as her entire body freezes and her hands fall out of her pockets. her heart beat quickens as she stares into the eyes she once found solace in. Yoongi notices her sudden and tense reaction as they both turn their engaged heads to see Jungkook arriving at Two Euphoric Hearts. he's opening up for the day.

the cafe owner, dressed in a leather jacket and black jeans, spots them at the same time they do. he isn't happy. his bronze, darkened eyes bore into theirs as his sharp jaw appears clenched and the keys in his hand dig against his palm. his ebony hair falls into his bothered eyes as the silver hoops in his ears match the buttons on his jacket.

he doesn't look delighted to see them, especially together, which is why he leaps forward and reaches out for Yoongi.

luckily he isn't alone as his best friend Taehyung pulls him back.

why isn't he with Talulah? Elianna furrows her brows.

"woah Kookie, come on." Taehyung wraps one arm around Jungkook's back and pats his friend's chest, reassuring him. "let's just go inside yeah?" he makes sure to glare at his other friends as they near the door.

suddenly melancholic Elianna can't help but watch the two, all she can focus on is Jungkook and how he's clearly nervous. she missed him. he fiddles with the countless keys, hands shaking as he tries to concentrate.

eventually, he pushes the door open and doesn't bother to open it for Taehyung as he walks in angrily.

"he hates me i reckon." Elianna whispers. her voice feels weak, she hates how Jungkook makes her feel even after all this time. the power she so badly craves? gone. just like that.

"he hates both of us darling."

"me more though."

Yoongi doesn't disagree. "yeah, you're the girl who never forgave him." he scoffs and Elianna realises he's right but the cocky, all knowing smile on Yoongi's face makes her wish Jungkook did leap far enough. "his ego can't take that." everyone has a large ego, Yoongi and Elianna know of the society.

"he doesn't have an ego like you." Elianna spits out.

"still protective?" Yoongi smirks.

"he was my true love." Elianna can't help but say truthfully.

"was or still is?"

"listen," Elianna steps forward and prods her finger into Yoongi's chest. the annoyance that now swells in her eyes was incoming. "if you expect me to patch things up with him, you should too." and she pushes past him, not bothering to say goodbye.

Elianna calls Talulah as she walks away from the suffocating cafe and florist. there's too much of the past surrounding there, no wonder Hoseok barely comes anymore. he hates drama and she gets it, she really does.

"hi..." Talulah picks up.

"i'm coming. why the fuck is Taehyung not with you?"

"you don't need to, honestly. Namjoon is here anyway."

"i don't care."

Elianna realises that Taehyung is human too. he feels everything the most, along with Jungkook. there's only so much he can do for someone he loves, someone who's going through a rough episode, from something she has no control over. he tries his best. he must've lost his patience (which is a big thing for him) so Elianna is happy to help. she likes taking care of people.

she spends the rest of the day stroking Talulah's hair on her lap, telling her it's okay if she can't bring herself to shower whilst listening to Namjoon speak about his music as they wait for Taehyung to come home. he said he'd be back soon with dinner.

and when he did come home, he told Namjoon and Elianna to dig in before the exhausted boy took his girlfriend in his arms before the two of them headed off to sleep.

the next day, Shira and Hussain had hosted a party.

an engagement party that seemed so official that it made Elianna sick. even though, she was one of the first to arrive at Shira's house, the sickness in her chest remained. she has sweaty palms, fidgety hands and the fact that she has to greet people is making her anxiety worsen immensely.

she's thinking and feeling about too much. Talulah's episode, letting go of Shira so soon and seeing Jungkook triggered something deep within her and she can't get over the fury that wiped onto his handsome face when she saw him look at Yoongi like that. there's guilt, regret and shame sitting with her and she would rather have better company. she wonders how after all these years, she still doesn't know how to handle all the negative emotions.

Shira's parents call out for everyone's attention. there's family from both sides, friends and strangers. food is being served as the house has been decorated with fairy lights, snacks, non alcoholic drinks and balloons. "we are gathered here today to celebrate the engagement of Shira and Hussain." the room cheers in merriment.

Elianna stands in the corner of the room, sipping her glass of water as she eyes the shiny ring on Shira's finger. she hasn't had the chance to tell Shira that she misses her already, wanting to beg her not to forget her. she's her best friend and she's terrified. she knows marriage isn't the end of a friendship but fuck, things will change and she hates change.

Elianna's fingers itch for a cigarette but Jin who appears beside her distracts her. he stands, leaning his shoulder against the wall as he drinks a glass of coke. the man, dressed in an all black outfit- button up and tight jeans looking exquisite as his slender figure shows. the two friends watch their childhood friend greet people she doesn't know just yet. they feel very grown up.

Elianna's frustration continues to bubble under the surface, aware that part of it has come from the fact that Jungkook is across the room. he stands directly opposite her and Jin, glass in hand as he talks to Jimin, Zelda and Taehyung. he seems casual, confident even as he tucks his other hand into the pocket of his blazer.

ah, this is what i feared, Jungkook dressed formally in suits. fuck, you can't handle the beauty can you?

"why does he have to be here?" Elianna is annoyed that Shira invited Jungkook but realises her selfishness is showing. her frustration and anger brings out the worst in her after all.

"he's our friend too you know?" Jin rolls his eyes. Elianna is aware of his attitude towards her nowadays, they've been having more bickering rows and they're tired of each other's attitudes. they're siblings truly. "he's friends with Shira too, they're quite close." Elianna realises that losing Jungkook was even harder due to the fact that they have the exact same friendship group.

"yeah, thanks to me."

"you can't avoid this forever."

Elianna groans, finishing her drink. "i am not sorting shit out."

"i don't see why i have to be the one to sort things out." Elianna says, pushing her hair behind her shoulders. the sight of Jungkook smiling and Shira's ring illuminating is making her dizzy. "there's nothing to be patched up and hidden away."

"he's the one who left," Eliamna groans, hazel eyes blaring with past, venting rage as she covers her coat over her dress. she hates the professionalism, the formality and the fake smiles. "and i'm the one who got left. the heartbreaker- my fucking heart got broken by the most beautiful person ever and now he wants me back? no chance."

"you know what..." she continues, rings hitting agitatedly against the glass. "he can chase his big dreams and make a grand cafe but i will never step into that place."

willingly, anyway.

Namjoon who's close by, leans in towards them. he exchanges a weary look with Jin as they both stare at Elianna. "you're being super loud so i just want to say..." he starts, not backing down at her glares. "you have just as much of a right to patch things up than him. you're both at fault here."

"he wants to fix things." Jin takes the opposite route as Namjoon. his tone is harsh and blunt. "you're the one who's being too stubborn." he fights Elianna's glares with identical ones as he talks back to her.

Elianna moves away and links her arm with Elisa before leaning her head onto her shoulder. she doesn't realise that Jeon Jungkook is staring at her from across the room, lost in her beauty as his breath catches in his throat. the flowers around the room reminds him of the florist, so full of natural beauty yet when he takes in the golden demeanour of Elianna, both inside and outside- he wants to kiss her and remind her just what they had and what their future could look like. she's the most beautiful.

Jimin calms down the room, small hand raising as he offers polite smiles at the people. "i want to take this moment to gift my friends with flowers from my recently opened florist." he retrieves a bouquet of several, different flowers that have all blossomed uniquely. there's a variety of colours, scents and shapes. all so naturally gorgeous.

Elianna and Jungkook watch with curious eyes, wide with possibility as they get ready to watch Jimin gift flowers and say their meanings.

"for Hobi hyung and Elisa," Jimin places a daisy behind Es' ear. their daughter shines with a certain brilliance as she watches her uncle Jimin speak. "a daisy means innocence and hope and that's what i see when i look at your love story. thank you for being your kind selves."

"Zelda my love," Jimin gushes. Elianna rolls her eyes as she watches the boy place a white rose in her hand. the couple blush, hope of a child still floating in their eyes. "a white rose to represent innocence and purity."

"my wise hyung," Jimin stands in front of Namjoon quickly. "a yellow tulip reminds me of you. it was hard to find at the florist but i guess that shows how unique you are. there is forever sunshine in that smile of yours." Namjoon can't process the compliment as a wow leaves his lips, eyes shining.

"Talulah and Tae," Jimin grins, skipping over to the couple who embrace him with humour and laughter. "Gladiolus. doesn't it sound just marvellous? it means a strength of character." he explains and moves away.

"my funny fellow." Jimin pats Jin's shoulder as the other male's ears turn red at the attention. "rosemary. it represents rememberance. a lot of people in this room want to remember you for who you are."

Elianna's heart squeezes when she spots Jungkook looking at her.

Jimin blocks her view then, small body in a smart suit as he embraces his Jungkookie. the two met in a university lecture room and now they're the best buddies ever.

"Jungkook-sshi." Jimin squeezes his cheeks playfully as the younger tries to hide his smile. it takes up his face eventually and Elianna can't help the smile on her own face. Taehyung catches her and winks.

she stops smiling.

"pink carnations." Jimin says. "i'll never forget you."

Elianna can't help but stare at how Jungkook's eyes focus on the beautiful flower, finger sliding over the petals as he smiles at his brother. his nose scrunches, his black hair that matches his blazer, the scar on his cheek and his dried lips. she bites her own lip, amazed by how he always takes her breath away. when did she start thinking like this again? did you ever stop?

her past university friend interrupts her as he says her name. "Elianna, El..." Jimin says in a murmur and she feels hot under Jungkook's gaze from across the room. he twirls the flower in his hand, smelling it as he watches her with sparkly eyes. "violet. for loyalty and honesty."

"lastly!" Jimin realises he's losing most of the crowds attention but appreciates the soft smiles from Elisa, curious eyes from Es, Hoseok's encouragements, Jin's smiles, Taehyung's listening ears, Jungkook's good's, Namjoon's raising brows and thumbs up and the other girls.

"Shira and Hussain..." Jimin twirls a pink rose in his hands. it's the perfect flower for a celebration of love. "happiness for the couple."

and the people cheer.

the boys are so dreamy 🤤

i normally write love in the most realistic way possible and sometimes that means, not giving two people a chance or getting two people back together. but i'm determined to give elianna and jungkook a happy ending... just because i can and i can't help the ship alright?
