Slaves
I found the room which the TARDIS had been put in which wasn't far from the cells. I couldn't get in because the doors were locked but I was hoping the shields were up. After I got everyone in there and locked the door with the sonic screwdriver me and Rory looked around for the others. It was a massive ship so they weren't going to be easy to find. "Why do you think we were put into different categories?" I thought out loud.
"I don't know." Rory answered my question. "But I guess they probably use the less intelligent as slaves because they don't need them, whoever they are." That was when we found out. A loud and unmistakible, "Exterminate" filled the corridor. Daleks. I pulled Rory round the corner to hide. "What the hell are we supposed to do with a Dalek? No Doctor. No weapons. Nothing!" Rory moaned and hit his head against the wall. "We give in." I turned around the corner were the bronze Dalek was facing me. "You will identify." It ordered.
"Evelyn... Smith. Evelyn Smith."
"What are you doing?" Rory whispered.
"Saving you. Find the Doctor and Amy. Don't worry about me."
"But-"
"Go."
"You are an intruder you will be exterminated!" The Dalek exclaimed. Rory ran down a different corridor after nearly hesitating. I stood up straight and closed my eyes tight as I waited for the blast. Then came a sharp pain all over my body and I fell to the ground.
I woke up about five minutes later. I opened my eyes and looked around. At least I bought Rory some time. I had to find him so I went down the corridor he had gone down. On the way I stopped at a window. Below there were scared innocent people. They were being pushed behind a curtain and you could hear their screams as something was planted into their heads and they walked out like they were being controlled. That's how the Daleks made them listen to every command. I couldn't stand to listen to them anymore so I started running again. Then someone crashed into me.
"Rory!" I exclaimed as I lifted myself off of the ground. He took a few steps back and had a look of confusion on his face. "B-but you died. You were killed by the Dalek. I heard the blast." He stuttered. "If you're thinking that I'm a clone then you're wrong. It's called immortality." Rory nodded his head to show he understood. "Right. Anyway, I've found the Doctor, Amy and Jack. They're helping the Daleks with something. I couldn't get to them but I'm sure you can."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, you've just tricked one into thinking you're dead. Surprise them." I liked his thinking so we went along with the plan.
I walked up to the door to the room the Doctor, Amy and Jack were in. There wasn't anyone else in there apart from two Daleks. I don't know what the Daleks were building but it was definitly something dangerous. Rory waited around the corner while I waited for the perfect moment to go in. "This is never going to work if you to don't understand what I'm saying!" The Doctor moaned. Amy crossed her arms and Jack looked really annoyed. Amy kept looking down at her nighty and trying not to be embarrassed about wearing it. I remembered that Rory was still in his pyjamas as well because I woke them up accidently.
"Is the machine ready yet?" One of the Daleks asked the Doctor.
"Give me five minutes." The Doctor said.
"It must be ready now! If it's not finished the girl will be exterminated."
"Hey! Why not Mr Torchwood over here?" Amy asked.
"Immortality." I said walking into the room before Jack could answer. The Daleks turned to face me.
"Intruder! Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!" And I was dead again.
I woke up to Amy having a good go at the Daleks. "You didn't have to kill her! What is wrong with you?" She shouted. The Doctor put his hand on Amy's shoulder and pulled her backwards towards the machine. Out of the corner of my eye I could see what it was. It was a small machine with a small screen in the middle. "Yeah." I said sitting up. "You didn't have to kill me." I stood up and walked towards the Dalek that shot me. "Not much you can do now." I smiled then turned to face my friends. "Sorry to scare you Amy." Jack was smiling and chuckling to himself in the back. I ran up to him and hugged him, ignoring the fact that there were Daleks there ready to kill us. "I'm so sorry." I whispered in his ear. "I forgive you. I know you didn't mean to get angry." Jack whispered back.
Everything went silent for a second but then one of the Daleks broke it. "You will explain!"
"No, you will explain. What is that machine?" I asked.
"It controls the slaves that you should have seen. The Daleks is to get their slave to take over Earth. They can use the population of Earth to help them control the universe." The Doctor explained.
"But how do they expect to get seven billion people onto one ship?"
"We have over one hundred ships waiting with one hundred slaves in each one." The other Dalek said. "Is the devise ready?"
"Yes, technically." Jack answered. "Evelyn, by the look on your face I can tell what your next question is and the answer is that this devise controls all the slaves by voice activation." Jack winked and I tried to make sense of it but I couldn't.
The Doctor brought the devise over to the Daleks and let them examine it. "All slaves, spread across Earth and gather the population." One ordered. I looked out of a big window looking down at Earth and nothing happened. "Why isn't it working? Explain! Explain! Explain!"
"It's voice activated, but I didn't say whose voice." The Doctor said smiling. "All slaves ignore every demand from the Daleks. I now order you to take over the ship and self destruct it." The next thing we knew there were gun shots coming from everywhere. Some slaves came in and shot the Daleks in the eyestalks allowing us to quickly leave. Rory came out from the corner and grabbed Amy's hand.
We all got back to the TARDIS before the the self destruct got to zero. The prisoners and the rest of the Torchwood team joined us in the TARDIS. All of the prisoners got brought back to their towns but we dropped off Torchwood last. I joined Jack outside of the TARDIS and leaned against the side. "So, I guess this is goodbye again." Jack said looking to the ground.
"I'm going to visit. I'm not totally abandoning you." I reassured. "You're my dad." A smile was planted across Jack's face and he hugged me tight. "Don't die." We both laughed and the rest of the team walked out of the TARDIS and we said our goodbyes. I got what I came for a little longer than I hoped.
