It may have been the middle of the night but I didn't care because I was seeing Jack and Ianto again. I was so stupid for running out and upsetting Jack. I got changed and we landed. By the time we got to Torchwood everyone was gone because it was about one o'clock in the morning. The TARDIS materialised in the Torchwood Hub and I instantly ran up to Jack's office and opened the door. Nobody was there. "Lets look around." I said to the Doctor. We ended up walking to the prisons where the Doctor went one way and I went another. "Evelyn!" The Doctor called out. I ran to the prison area he checked and looked at the line of cells. Each of the Torchwood members were in one asleep. I tried to open the Doctor's cell but I didn't have the keys. "Evelyn, get to the TARDIS. You're in danger if you stay here and I am not going to let you get taken by them." For the first time ever, I had seen so much fear in his eyes

"By who?"

"Doesn't matter. My sonic screwdriver is over on the floor by the exit. Take it, scan the console and the TARDIS will take you somewhere safe." I heard a clattering close to the prison. "Just go Evelyn!" I did as I was told and ran back to the TARDIS. I felt like someone was chasing me but I didn't dare look back. When I got to the TARDIS I instantly tried to work the sonic screwdriver like the Doctor said. It finally worked and that was what woke Amy and Rory up. "Doctor, are you going somewhere without us?" Amy asked tiredly as she came out of one of the corridors with Rory tagging along behind her. "Where's the Doctor?" I didn't answer as I concentrated on where we were going. "Evelyn. Spill it." "Locked up in the Torchwood Hub. We were going to see my dad Jack, or rather my adopted dad not that son of a gun that made me. We split up to find him and someone locked him in the prisons there along with the Torchwood team. He told me to leave and fly the TARDIS somewhere safe." I explained. "The Torchwood Hub?" Rory questioned.

"Torchwood investigates alien activity and what comes out of this rift running through Cardiff. I've lived there since I was three and worked there for about two years. Now I have no idea what the people that trapped them in there want them for."

"Can't we go back?"

"I have no idea how to fly the TARDIS. I was only told to scan the console with the sonic screwdriver to take us somewhere safe." The TARDIS landed somewhere I didn't know. "Unless you know how to fly the TARDIS I think we're stuck here."

I looked out of the TARDIS doors and we were insomeones home. Whoever lives here is not going to be happy. "Hey, this is our house." Rory said popping his head out of the TARDIS. The Doctor was right, it was a safe place. I started to trust Amy and Rory a bit but I think Amy was a tiny bit jealous that she wasn't the only girl travelling with the Doctor. They stepped out of the box and I had a thought. "If you're home then I better try and fly the TARDIS away." Amy and Rory looked at me.

"Why? You're not going to save the Doctor without us are you?" Amy asked.

"No but if these people are in Torchwood that means they can get into the files. If they've seen my face they can find out who I am and track me down. You two are in danger if I stay here. Whoever these people are they've got my team and I can't risk getting you two taken if they know where I am. I can't do that to you or the Doctor."

"We're always in danger with the Doctor. What difference could it make?"

"Good point." Amy was about to step back into the TARDIS when there was a knock at the front door. Rory pulled us back and went to answer the door. A man in a dark blue jumpsuit started to stare Rory dead in the eye. "Do you know what time it is?" Rory asked in a fake tired voice. The man looked Rory up and down then me and Amy. "Rory Williams, Amelia Williams, Evelyn Harkness." He said in a slow almost robotic voice. "You will come with us."

"Like hell we will." Amy said. The man got a gun out and shot Rory. "Rory!" Amy shouted in my ear. I pulled her backwards but then I wasn't the one pulling her backwards. Two men came from behind us and started pulling us to the back door. I elbowed the man grabbing me in the face and he let go. Amy fell to the ground. I kicked her guy in the stomach sending him to the ground. Then I fell to the ground as the last to get shot.

Someone shook me awake and I nearly punched them before I opened my eyes until I heard their voice. "Wake up Evelyn." Rory whispered. I opened my eyes and started to look around in panic. "Where are we?" I asked.
"No idea." He thenjoined me in looking at the room.

"Where's Amy? Have you seen the Doctor or her anywhere?"

"No." Amung us were lots of other people. Some were asleep, others were talking to each other and some were curled up in a ball. I recognised the four people sitting in the corner talking. The team. Ianto recognised me and instantly ran over to me, I did the same, and hugged me tightly. "Where's Jack?"

"He was put into a different category." Ianto replied. 

"Category?"

"Yeah. The ones of great use and intelligence and the slaves. You can guess which one Jack got put into."

I introduced Rory to Torchwood and we sat in a circle making plans. "I've got the Doctor's sonic screwdriver." I said as I checked my pocket. For some reason they hadn't checked to see if I had any weapons. "There's at least seven other people in this room with us and six of us. How are we all going to escape?" Rory asked. He was right. We wasn't all going to escape because we were great in numbers. Some of us would have to stay. "I have an idea." The team turned to me and listened to the idea. "Someone will go and look for a safe place to hide. Then another two will make a distraction so all of the people in this room can go to this place. The two that are distracting will have to find the Doctor, Amy and Jack and we'll work everything out from there." The plan was agreed. I would be the one to find a safe place and be a distractor with Rory. Now it was up to us to get everyone safe.
