He said I was the most beautiful girl, yet her beauty outshone mine

"Tara, c'mon everyone is waiting," He had said, trying to hurry me along, but my belly was churning as I nibbled anxiously at my lips. It was suppose to be a simple get-together, but my insecurities hadn't felt that way.

He had noticed my hesitation and paused in his steps just before we reached the door. Gently, he cupped my cheeks in his warm palms and used his thumb to  rub my cheeks. His eyes had tranced the features of my face as if they were the most precious things it he had ever seen.

"I only have eyes for you. In my eyes you're the most beautiful girl," He muttered before he pressed a soft lingering kiss onto my forehead.

He sounded so sincere as he stared at me with a look of pure admiration.

I had allowed myself to believe him and followed him through the doors.

But really, he had two eyes for a reason.
