Carter let out a groan and ignored her 12th call that day, throwing her phone across the room and burying her face into her pillow.

"Ouch, what the fuck Carter?" Cooper rubbed his chest, where he had just been hit with a cellphone. His eyebrows furrowed when she threw her blanket over her head, an annoyed sigh coming from underneath the comforter. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing." She muttered, feeling her mattress shift next her. Cooper lifted the blanket up and slid under, poking her in the back. "Coop I'm fine, just leave me alone."

"Yeah, that sounds like bullshit." He replied, pulling on lock of her hair. Carter smacked blindly at him, hitting him square in the forehead. "Alright, alright."

Cooper pushed himself out of bed and crossed the room, picking up her discarded phone. He scrolled through her notifications, a plan forming in his head.

"Aria called you four times, Lydia two, and Malia six." This got her attention, the girl sitting up quickly.

"Cooper, don't."

"You also have a lot of DMs." He hummed, scrolling through them. "Malia is really, really sorry.. What did she even-oh."

Carter let out a groan and fell back onto her pillows, slinging an arm over her eyes. "I don't know what to do."

Cooper felt a wave of guilt fall over him, crawling back onto the mattress and patting her leg as an awkward form of comfort. "Well, you shouldn't ignore her."

"What am I supposed to say?" She muttered, rubbing her face harshly and sitting up again. It wasn't until then that he saw her eyes red and puffy. "Sorry, I was to busy hunting werewolves to get back to you?"

"Maybe it could work out." He shrugged, reaching over and pulling a thread from her shirt. "Y'know, like Romeo and Juliet."

"Romeo and Juliet committed suicide." Carter stated bluntly, glaring slightly at him. "Didn't you ever read Shakespeare in class?"

"I was too busy flirting with Heidi." A grin snuck onto his face, the girl smacking him lightly.

"What even happened to her?" She sighed, moving so that her head rested in his lap. "I actually approved."

"She was a banshee." Cooper replied, playing with Carter's hair to relax her. Her eyebrows furrowed and she looked up at him in shock. "I ended it because of who I was, what my family did. And trust me, it was a mistake."

Before she could reply there was a knock on the door, her mother stepping in with a huge box and two smaller ones. "These were waiting on the porch for you."

Carter just motioned for her to set them on her bed, her mom obliging and leaving the room just as she came. "Open them?"

"Lazy ass." Cooper muttered, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a pocket knife. He cut open one of the smaller boxes and handed it to her, the girl sitting up and opening it.

"It's from Kat." She sniffed, moving the tissue paper. She laughed and held up two pairs of Mickey Mouse ears and one of her prized caramel apples. "Little bean."

"This one says 'Cisaac' on it." He wrinkled his nose and she took it from him, opening it quickly. Inside were about five pairs of fuzzy socks and a book of pickup lines.

Because yours suck - "Baehey"

Carter just snorted and put it aside, finally grabbing the huge box. Right on top was a burgundy BHHS sweatshirt, putting a small smile on her face. As she went through the box she had gotten two new eyeshadow pallets from Lydia, hesitating when she came across Malia's gift.

She pulled it out slowly and undid the wrapping-it was pretty bad-while Cooper continued to play with the bubble wrap. Carter opened the box and couldn't help but laugh, pulling out the necklace and showing the pendant to Cooper.

"Really fuckin cute." He read, chuckling as well. His expression softened when he saw Carter examining with with a solemn expression, looking up at him.

"I made a mistake."

"Not yet." Cooper shook his head, getting ready to throw away the boxes. He paused when he saw an envelope, addressed from Aria.

"How am I supposed to fix this?" Carter  swallowed, running her thumb over the pendant. "I mean, this isn't something you can explain over text."

"I don't think you'll have to." Cooper said slowly, opening the envelope and pulling out its contents.

In his hand were two plane tickets to Beacon Hills, courtesy of Aria Miller.
