Yesterday, Candice's father met Francis for the first time. He personally interviewed Candice's father and asked him a lot of questions related to his possible and future job. Before he left the office, Candice's father was accepted as the new stock manager of the company and he will start as soon he passes all of his requirements. Aside from his monthly salary, Francis also told him that he will give him a weekly bonus as long as he will never be late and he can give the documents he will ask for on time.

When Candice heard the good news from her father, she quickly texted Rhianne to thanked her. Rhianne also thanked Francis for accepting Candice's father for his company. But Francis refused to accept her gratitude. Her brother told her that he did not accept her friend's father in the company because of her. Francis gave him that position because he saw a huge potential and skills during their interview and Candice's father obviously knows what he should need to do if he will become a manager.

But still, Rhianne thanked her brother. Without Francis, maybe Candice's father was still in his previous job and receiving a small salary. Because she is in a good mood, Rhianne asked her brother what gift he wants to receive from her. Contrary to her expectation, Francis asked her for something absurd.

'Right! But still, it was all thanks to you that my father got an opportunity to work in a good environment again. So please do not refuse my mom's gift. She is a good cook! I can guarantee that you will love my mom's cooking!'

Rhianne can't help but smile after reading Candice's text. She can really feel how proud her friend is of her parents.

When Rhianne saw Candice's reply, she suddenly remembered an important memory. She had already met the female lead five years ago! Rhianne is about to reply when she received another text. It was from Keith.

Her Mr. Protagonist is not opening her messages anymore. Nevermind. Maybe he suddenly becomes busy with his school work. Instead, she typed a reply to Candice.

This time, Candice did not reply. Rhianne raised a brow thinking that both Keith and Candice did not reply to her text messages after giving them the answers to their questions. She is about to go downstairs when her phone rings. This time, Andrew is calling her. Rhianne becomes excited all of a sudden and she quickly swipes the answer button.

"Andrew!" Rhianne called.

"Hmm... Just a little bit. You rarely replied to our messages lately so we thought maybe you are busy with school."

(Oh, I see. I am just struggling a little bit to finish all my school requirements. But I still managed to finish it all in time.)

"Oh! That's good to hear! But are you sick, Andrew? Your voice is kind of raspy."

(It was nothing. I just woke up in the middle of the night. I just need to drink a glass of water.)

Then Rhianne suddenly heard Andrew laughing on the other line. Rhianne furrowed her eyebrows when she heard it. She suddenly thought that there is something weird in their conversation.

"Why are you laughing?" Rihanna carefully asked.

Then Rhianne heard Andrew's laughter on the other line again. Rhianne suddenly saw a glimpse of Andrew's villainous act just now. So the villain just called her to ruin the male lead's plan!

He just wanted to have a long and relaxing sleep after spending a lot of sleepless nights just to review for his upcoming exams and to finish all of his projects.

But his inconsiderate friend decided to call him knowing the fact that they had a huge time difference and it is still in the middle of the night in his place.

So to have his small revenge, Andrew decided to give Rhianne a call. Then in the middle of their conversation, Andrew 'unconsciously' revealed Keith's plans to surprise Rhianne this weekend.

After that, Andrew ended the call. Recalling her conversation with Andrew, Rhianne suddenly remembered that her Mr. Protagonist texted her to ask what does she likes between white and pink. On the other hand, Andrew is also satisfied with having his small revenge towards Keith. It is okay if he failed to surprise Rhianne this time.
