And soon enough, the Ramshackle group reaches the front to get a Wishing Star.

Once at the front, Grim says, "Hey, Headmage! We'll take some of those Wishing Stars too."

"Ah, if it isn't the Ramshackle group. But of course. Here you are," Crowley says.

And with that, Crowley gave Grim one. Then gave Tanzanite and Jasper one. The wishing star is dark blue and it looks like a solid shimmering star

"So this is a Wishing Star..." Grim says, amazed of holding the star.

But soon realizes, "Wait a minute, you only gave us three."

"Well, yes. One Wishing Star per person. And as I've previously stated, the Briar, Sereia, and you count as a single student," Crowley says.

Grim begins to complain, "Aww, come on! What do we do now, Briar?"

"Well, since I'm a Stargazer, I can let either you or Sereia make a wish," Briar says.

Sereia says, "Briar's right. But I'll let you have it."

"You sure? No takebacks, y'know. Not even if you end up wantin' a can of tuna later!" Grim asks with a smirk.

"We're here," Sereia says.

"In fact, you can make your wish right now," Briar says.

"Great!" Grim happily says.

"But how do we do that?" Sereia asks.

"Maybe Deuce will know," Tanzanite says.

Then Grim notices, "And there he is now." And calls out, "Heeey!"

Deuce turns to see Grim, "What is it, Grim?"

"I've got a Wishing Star for ya, from me 'n to Briar. Now how do I work this thing?" Grim asks.

"Hold it tightly and say your wish out loud," Deuce answers.

"Okay..." Grim says and turns to Briar.

He then holds the Wishing Star tightly and makes his wish, "I wish to be a great mage!"

"And soon, the wishing star begins to glow

Grim is surprised, "Ooh, it's glowin'!"

"That means the wish is inside it now," Deuce says.

"That's amazing," Sereia says.

"Whoa. That's nifty..." Grim says.

Meanwhile...

Idia says from the pad, "What's with all the gushing? It's just a silly Wishing Star. From what I hear, the glow's just a response to human body heat and traces of magic..."

"I'm sorry, Idia, did you say something?" Ortho questions.

"Uhhh... NOPE. Never mind!" Idia says, confused.

He then says in his thoughts, "For some reason, Ortho gets really jazzed about the Starsending every year. No need to burst his bubble..."

Back to Briar and the group...

Grim hands the wish to Briar, "Well, here's one Wishing Star for ya. My wish is in your hands."

"Sure Grim. I'll take care of it," Briar says and takes the wish,

Tanzanite turns to Deuce, "Hey Deuce, can I make a wish."

"Sure," Deuce says.

Tanzanite does the same as Grim and makes his wish, "I wish I can explore all over the world."

Then Jasper makes his wish, "I wish to become an Athlete Mage."

Then both of the Wishing Stars begin to glow.

"Here Deuce!" The two brothers say.

"Of... of course," Deuce says and takes the stars.

Grim notices the seriousness of Deuce's expression, "Hm? Why're ya lookin' all serious? Has my grand, visionary wish left you awestruck?"

"Come on, that's silly," Deuce says, annoyed, Nah, it's just... Starsending always reminds me of something. One time, when I was in middle school, I heard my mom making a wish. I got into fights pretty much every day back then. She was so worried about me... So she wished for me to stop fighting and live a healthy life."

"Oh yeah, I remember you said you did a lot of roughhousing back in those days," Grim remembers.

"Yeah. I caused people a whole lot of grief. So I'm trying to live the straight and narrow now to make up for it. I'm gonna study my tail off, work hard at school activities, and show my mom what a model student I've become," Deuce says.

Soon, Trey walks over, and says, "Ah, you've collected a Wishing Star already. "Is this Briar and the others' star?

"Yessir! And I'll make sure to keep it up and get even more," Deuce says.

"Uh, right... You seem pretty motivated," Trey replies, sheepishly.

"I am. I'm going to give this my best effort," Deuce says.

Soon, Ortho walks over, "It's nice to be working with you, Deuce Spade! My brother and I will do our part as well."

"Right. Looking forward to it, you two!" Deuce says.

"Sure... I guess," Idia says, skeptic.

Then says in thought, "What a nightmare. I just want to get through this with as little social interaction as possible."

"Well, I'm gonna hit the pavement and collect more Wishing Stars," Deuce says, and dashes off.

"Ah! Deuce, wait!" Trey calls out, but Deuce is already gone.

Trey sighs, "...And he's already gone. This could be trouble. I'd better follow him."

"You're bein' a little paranoid, don'tcha think? He's just gatherin' a buncha rocks," Grim replies.

"Yeah, but Deuce is new here. It's dangerous to let him go without telling him what's up," Trey says.

"You mean how there's a ton of people and only four of you?" Jasper questions.

"Something else, actually. Anyway, I gotta go talk to him. Later," Trey says, and hurries off.

Briar calls out, "Trey! Wait!"

"I'm getting worried about Deuce Spade. Let's follow them, Idia!" Ortho says, and grabs the tablet.

Idia yelps, " Whoa, hey, Ortho?!"

But Ortho already takes off.

"There they all go..." Grim says.

"We better go after them," Briar says.

"Yeah, I'm with ya there," Grim agrees.

"I agree," Tanzanite says.

Let's move!" Jasper says.

Then Briar and the others follow after them.
