Maria P.O.V

"Alright, let's hurry and paint the roses red~! Not pink, not green, got it? I'm countin' on you to paint it pretty red!" Cater senpai said as I grabbed a bucket of red paint and started heading towards a bush full of white roses

'I wonder why they couldn't just plant red roses? It'll probably be easier than painting the white roses red' I thought to myself

"Geez, guess we can't say no... We just have to get this over with right?" Ace asked

"I don't know if we can give satisfactory results, but I will do my best!" Deuce said

"Somethin' like this is easy for someone like me! You do your best too, got it!" Grim said

Ace and I were busy painting the roses red while the others are coloring the roses red with their magic but Deuce and Grim were having some trouble getting the colors right and Grim burnt some too

"Red, red... There! Ah!! It turned blue!" Deuce freaked out

"You will change colors.......! Go!" Grim tried to change the roses color but he ended up putting them on fire "AAAHHHH!!! I set them on fire again!" Grim shouted as I went to find a bucket of water to put out the fire

"You're a lot worse than I thought you'd be~" Cater senpai said in a disappointed tone and I came back with a bucket of water as I was heading towards the rose bush, I tripped over something the bucket slipped out of my hands

"Oh no!" I yelled and without thinking I stick out my hand and the water floated mid-air before it landed on the other rose bushes, leaving everyone a stunned look on their faces

"Woah! How are you doing that!?" Grim asked

"I... I have no idea..." I said

"Wow! That's amazing Maria-chan! Can you make shapes out of the water?" Cater senpai asked

"W-well this is new to me... Maybe with enough practice I might be able to. But can I at least put out the fire before it spreads?" I asked and I dropped the water on the fire

"Whew... That was a close one..." I said I fell to my knees

"Anyway, why can't the roses stay white? They're pretty" Ace said

"This part of the tradition okay? The roses for the Unbirthday Party should be red! And it's been decided that the bat for croquet match is a 7-colored flamingos and the balls will be hedgehogs. Oh but for the flower concert during spring, the roses should be white. This is all important so remember them~" Cater senpai told us

"Nothing but weird rules!" Grim said

"This is a rule decided by the Queen of Hearts, one of the Great Seven after all. Riddle-kun's a pretty straight-laced Prefect who protects the Queen's rules to a T, got it~? Well I do admit he goes overboard sometimes..." Cater senpai said

"Hey Ace didn't you have something to say?" I asked Ace and he immediately remembered

"Oh, that's right! I don't have time tp be standing here. I got something to discuss with the Dorm Head. Is he still inside?" Ace asked

"Hm? I think he should be still be there... By the way Acey who stole the Prefect's tart~ Have you brought some tarts to make up for what you took?" Cater senpai asked Ace

"Eh? I came straight here, so I got nothing..." Ace said

"Oh man, izzat so? Then, since Rule #53 of the Queen of Hearts states that 'You have to replace things that you stole'. I can't let you back in the dorm." Cater senpai said which shocked Ace

"Huh?! What the heck?!" Ace shouted

"You have to follow the rules if you're staying in this dorm. If I let slide, then it's off with my head too~ Sorry, but I'll have you leave before Riddle-kun notices" Cater senpai said as he readied his magic pen

"Wha-! He looks totally serious...! You guys, do something!" Ace pleaded for our help

"Why me?!" Deuce asked

"I'm begging you! I can't use my magic right now! Ah! Here he comes!" Ace yelled as Cater senpai charged at us with his magic

"Wah!" I dodged one of Cater senpai's attacks

"Sorry~ Didn't mean that~" Cater senpai said

'Okay, okay... I gotta think quick...' I was thinking while the guys were deflecting Cater senpai's attacks 'Wait! I got it! I can control water then maybe I freeze his legs' I thought to myself and I noticed he was standing on a puddle 'Perfect!' I concentrated on freezing the puddle and it worked

"Eh!? How did my legs become frozen!?" Cater senpai freaked out

"Alright! It worked!" I exclaimed and the boys looked at me with a surprise look

"That was you!?" They all shouted and I nodded

"C'mon you guys! I have no idea how long it'll hold him!" I said and they nodded and we ran away

Cater P.O.V

I was attacking them with my magic but I failed to realized that my legs were now frozen

"Eh!? How did my legs become frozen!?" I freaked out because I didn't notice them casting a spell

'Did one of those guys...?' My thoughts were interrupted

"Alright! It worked!" I looked at Maria-chan with a surprised look

"That was you!?" I shouted with Acey, Deucey and Grim who also surprised and she nodded

'Amazing...'

"C'mon you guys! I have no idea how long it'll hold him!" Maria-chan said and they left

"Your quite something Maria-chan~" I said with a smile and I heard footsteps approaching me

"Cater...? What happened to you?" I looked to see who it was and it was Trey

"Hey Trey~ I was just kicking out the tart thief and it looked like the mysterious female student used her magic on me~" I said with a carefree tone

"The girl from the coffin!? She was here?" Trey asked as he was surprised

"Yep~ Though I must say her magic is quite something" I said with a smile

'I hope I get to see her again... Maybe around lunch time~' I thought to myself

"So~ Can you help me get out of this ice?" I asked and Trey went to find something to break the ice with

Maria P.O.V

After we left the Rose Garden, we ran towards the entrance out of breath

"What's with that guy?" Ace asked as he tries to catch his breath

"He came standing back up no matter how much we hit him, is it illusionary magic?" Deuce asked

"I can't get back in without a tart right? I've been empty-handed since forever man. He kicked us out after he made us help with flowers too!" Ace said

"I'm disappointed" Grim said

"But I have to thank you for saving us Maria, that's a smart idea for freezing Cater's legs. What gave you that idea?" Ace asked

"Well... To be honest, I have no idea myself. I saw the puddle on the ground and thought 'If I could control water then maybe I could freeze it too' and it worked" I said and Deuce shouted

"Ah!!!! This is bad!!" Deuce yelled and I took out my pocket watch to look at the time

"Oh no! We're going to late for class you guys!" I shouted and they freaked out

"Uwah! The first day of my shining school life will be tarnished! Let's hurry to the classroom!" Grim shouted

We agreed and we started running to class, while running Ace asked me a question

"Hey Maria, what class are you and Grim in?" Ace asked

"The headmaster told us we're in class 1-A" I said and both Ace and Deuce smiled

"Really! Then we're in the same class, first period is all about Magical Alchemy" Deuce said

"That sounds very interesting!" I said with excitement

"Yahoo! That sounds fun!" Grim shouted happliy

"I can't use magic remember? Am I gonna be okay?" Ace asked

"It'll be alright Ace. Trust me" I said and winked at him which resulted him a blushing mess

Potions Class~

We made it to class before the bell ringed, we put on a lab coat, gloves and goggles for class

'I feel like a scientist...' I thought to myself but I didn't notice the stares towards me

"She looks really hot wearing that" One student said with a love stuck tone

"I'm so looking forward to seeing her everyday" Another student said

"Should I go ask her out?" Another student said

Everyone quiet down when the teacher came in, a man came in, his appearance looked amazing. He has sliver blue eyes, black on the right and white on left of his hair, his clothing is also black and white including his fur-coat. He noticed me and Grim, and he started walking towards us

"I see you're the fresh new faces who will be joining my class today" The teacher said as he looked at my hair for some reason "Hm~ What an unusual hair color. Not bad at all, I say. Be careful not to take too long to finish understood?" The teacher said and he touched my hair and he gasped "!? Your hair...! It very soft and silky! You must've done a very excellent job at taking care of it!" The teacher exclaimed with excitement, he calmed down after a couple of seconds and he introduced himself "Ahem. My name is Divus Crewel, you shall refer to me as Master Crewel if you please." I nodded "Come take your seats, it's time for class to begin. First off, a few disclaimers. I shall have your tiny brains remember hundreds of names of medicinal herbs and poisonous plants, and mushrooms are a whole different topic. I'll have you remember them so that you don't accidentally poison yourself if you eat some when you go for a walk. Dogs love to eat anything they see, after all. I don't want to see anyone getting a failing mark during the exam, so I shall be as strict as I can" Crewel sensei said and I walked to my desk which is between Ace and Deuce, I began writing down notes from the lesson about mushrooms

"I see. By the way, what are shrooms?" Deuce asked

"Ugh... I'm pretty bad with memorization..." Ace complained

"If it's grass, we just have to figure out if it's delicious or not yanno?" Grim said

"Not really Grim. If you eat random herbs or mushrooms, there's a chance you might get sick or possibly die" I said and it scared Grim

Magical History~

The next class is Magical History, which made me quite interested since I want to learn more about this world

'Magical History huh? Well this will help me quite a lot about understanding this world' I thought to myself and I heard the classroom door opening, revealing an elderly man, he has evergreen eye color, gray hair with sliver highlights, he wears red clothing like a noble and he's holding a black cat

"I am Trein, the professor in charge of Magical History, and this is my familiar Lucius." Professor Trein introduced himself and his cat

"Meow" Lucius meowed

"I do not grade by reports, but also by how you behave in my classroom. I will not tolerate sleeping in class. Now then, please turn to page 5 of your textbooks. This is related to the magic stone that was discovered inside the Dwarf Mine" Professor Trein said as he began the lesson while Lucius was meowing after the professor was finished talking

"The discovery of this jewel led to magical energy being able to spread worldwide. It could also be considered as the 1st year magic was made possible."

"Meow"

'I wonder if Lucius is meowing because Grim is also a cat and is trying to translate for him' I thought to myself and I heard Ace yawning

"Oh...! The Dwarf Mines, huh... Oh...! Magical energy huh..." Deuce was really into the lesson

"Ugh... I want a more explosive and flashier magic class!" Grim whispered

Sports Field~

After the guys left the locker room, I made sure to change into my PE uniform behind a shower curtain because I don't want any guy looking at me while changing, it'll be embarrassing. After I finished changing, my outfit looks like a one-piece clothing along with a jacket with the school's logo and I had my hair in a ponytail

When I got outside, I went looking for Ace, Deuce and Grim

'I wonder where they are...?' I thought to myself as I was looking around for my friends

"Holy shit! She looks even hotter!" One student said as his eyes turned into hearts

"Wow! I wouldn't mind being her partner for whatever lesson we have to do" Another student said

'Sigh... Boys will be boys' I thought to myself as I noticed Ace's hair and collar

"Hey you guys! I was looking for you!" I shouted as I ran towards them

"Oh, hey Ma-" Ace's face turned bright red along with Deuce

"Are you both okay? Your faces look flushed" I said as I placed my hands on their foreheads

"W-w-we're okay! We promise!" Deuce shouted and the PE teacher appeared. He looked  strong and burly with broad-shoulders and a thick neck and chest. He has dark brown hair, pompadour style, blue eyes and looks like a narcisstist type

"I'm Vargas and I'm in charge of watching over your physical education. Excellent magic starts with with excellent bodies! Behold...! These muscles that I train everyday!" Coach Vargas said as he flexing his muscles "A magician with no stamina is unspeakable! First, do 20 laps around the field! And then, 100 sit-ups!" Coach Vargas said and I heard everyone groaning

'Guess it's too much for them...' I thought to myself as I started to run

"Eh... I don't hate exercise, but I can't handle teachers like him" Ace said and he already sounded tired

"I have confidence in my physical abilities" Deuce said

"What's so fun about running around? I'm not a hamster, yanno?" Grim said and they heard a whistle

"C'mon boys! You better start running. Look! Your female friend is already ahead of you guys" Coach Vargas said and the trio looked at the field

"No way! When did she start running!?" Ace shouted

"We better catch up!" Deuce shouted as well and he grabbed the back of Grim's ribbon

Break~ No one's P.O.V

Maria was walking through the hallway with Ace and Deuce while Grim was on her shoulder but he slowly got off of her shoulder and ran away

"Let's see, the next class is..." Deuce was checking the class schedule

"For a magic school, it doesn't feel much different from a normal school huh... It's a lot more... ordinary than I thought... Guess I don't have to worry much even without magic. Dontcha think so too Grim? Hm...?" Ace asked but no response

"Oh no. Why do I have a bad feeling" Maria said as she looked at her shoulder and realized too late that Grim is gone

"Gasp! Look outside the window! That fluffball running in the Courtyard!" Deuce shouted as Maria and Ace looked outside

"As if I'd sit and stay in boring classes like that all day! I'm a genius, so I'll be a great magician even if I don't take those classes yanno?!" Grim yelled as he ran away

"Grim! Get your ass back here this instant!" Maria yelled but Grim ignored her

"Running away on the first day... That guy just doesn't learn huh." Deuce said

"Being negligent on the first day are we, Maria~? So, d'ya want us to help you catch Grim?" Ace asked with a smirk

"That would be nice but I have a feeling you want something" Maria said

"I want some chocolate croissant from the canteen!" Ace shouted

"Then, I shall have some cafe latte from the cafeteria." Deuce said with a smirk

"Sigh... Fine" Maria said as she sighed in defeat

"And that's a deal! Alright, shall we go help out our helpless Maria, Deuce-kun~?" Ace said and he earned a smack on the back of his head

"Call me helpless again and see what happens" Maria said as her angry aura showed again and it silenced them both. They ran outside to the Courtyard to catch Grim
