Chapter 3: Hello, Tsums! III
Meanwhile in the Botanical Garden...
Leona is all alone.
He says to himself, "Well, the hole's gone now, and everything's back to normal... it's strangely peaceful, even. Epel just took off for Pomefiore as soon as the light faded. Guess I'll check up on my dorm too. I just hope nothing funny's goin' on."
Sometime later...
Epel arrives in the Headmage office with something in his arms.
Epel walks in and says, "Excuse me, Headmage! Do you have a moment? This strange creature fell out of the sky and..."
And in his arms is a little creature that looks like himself.
Crowley notices Epel and says, "Ah, Felmier. You found one too, hm? You're the sixth student to come to my office with one of these "strange creatures."
"Really?" Epel asks.
Soon, it's revealed that Cater, Floyd, and Epel aren't the only ones with the strange creatures, Jack, Sebek, and even Sereia have come to the office with one of the mysterious creatures as well. All those who have the strange creature are in the office right now.
Cater says, "Heya, Eppy! I got here just before you did. And I brought along this little guy," And presents the little creature who is playing with the others.
Then Crowley explains, "Felmier, I presume you saw the strange light above Ramshackle Dorm? And then you snagged one of these little creatures that fell from the sky, as the others did. What baffles me is how they could pass through the school's barrier so easily."
"I don't get why it's got the same highlight in its hair as me. Same eye colors too," Floyd says as he watches his look alike jumping around.
Crowley thinks for a minute, "Hmmm... " And says, You know, upon closer inspection, I can see it's a carbon copy of you, Floyd Leech. The other ones also bear a striking resemblance to each of you," as he watches the creatures play around together."
Jack sighs, "Sheesh... What've I gotten dragged into now?"
"They look like plushies, but they can move around and do things. Just what ARE they?" Epel says.
"I wonder about it myself. I also wonder what that strange light that shone over the Ramshackle Dorm. When I came out to check it out, this little creature that looked like me fell out of the sky," Sereia explains.
Then looks down to see the little strange creature that looks like her is standing near her, watching the other creatures play.
"My liege said they weren't ensorcelled in any way," Sebek answers.
Then Floyd begins to question, "They came out of a hole in the sky, right? Well, where's it connected to?
"I haven't the foggiest idea what they are or where they come from. However... We have a more pressing matter to attend to!" Crowley says, sounding serious.
"We do?" Cater says, confused.
"What's that?" Jack asks.
"Why..." Crowley says with a moment of silence.
Then says, "Naming them, of course. We have to call them SOMETHING!"
Everyone is dumbfounded, "Huh?"
Then Crowley explains, "We have encountered heretofore unseen creatures. Since we discovered them, it falls to us to name them. That would be the kind thing to do, after all."
Sebek is not amused, "Ridiculous. They're not pets. There's no call to stand around debating names!"
"I would argue it's FAR from ridiculous. Every creature needs a name—" Crowley explains, but suddenly cries out, "AH! Hey!"
Turns out the Floyd look alike creature is on his desk, messing around the documents on it.
Crowley scolds it, "Now see here, miniature Floyd Leech look-alike! Would you PLEASE refrain from tearing up my valuable papers?!"
So far, the creature doesn't seem to listen. It doesn't seem to be talking either.
"There, you see? Addressing them is most cumbersome. We can hardly let this state of affairs stand," Crowley says.
Soon, Jack notices, "...Hey. They're all bunching up together."
And the creatures are gathering and bundling together.
Epel also says, "You're right. The little me is climbing on the little Jack..."
"They're making a tower!" Sebek says.
Soon enough, the five creatures make themselves like a pyramid tower. The Bottom are the little creatures of Jack, Floyd, and Cater. And on top are the creatures that look like Epel and Sebek. And the Sereia looking creature is on the top of the pyramid.
"Aww, they're so cute," Sereia replies with a smile.
Sebek smiles, "Oh man, they're like coral catsharks. Rad. But why are they doin' that?
"Woah, that's some balance! And did you catch how they all zoomed over to stack together? Cater adds, and has his camera out.
Suddenly, Floyd thinks of something, "Yeah, they got hustle all right."
"It's funny seeing such cute things zoom around like that," Epel says.
"They are rather adorable," Sebek mutters to himself.
"Mabe if we did a cute play on the word 'Tsum,' like..." Jack thinks a bit.
Then the idea comes to them as they all come up with a name, "Tsum Tsum!"
This makes Crowley happy, "Goodness gracious me! I wholly reject that suggestion with the sum authority of my station! I hereby dub these strange creatures 'Tsums'! I've kept a slight phonetic similarity to your suggestion. Out of kindness."
Everyone watches to see the 'Tsum Tsums' getting excited, like they're happy for their new name.
"They appear rather pleased with the name as well," Crowley says.
Then turns to see the Epel Tsum, "The way Felmier's Tsum merrily hops about is positively darling."
But then the Epel Tsum flies right at Crowley without a second thought, and the Headmage falls to the floor.
Crowley cries out, "OWW!" and sits up, "What was that?! Felmier, your Tsum just flew at me!"
"I don't think it likes being called darling or cute," Epel says, "It tries to tackle anyone who calls it that. It picked fights with other students when I was coming over here. Guys way bigger than it!"
Just then, the Sereia Tsum approaches Crowley and begins to rub where the Epel Tsum strikes him.
"Aww, and this little Sereia like Tsum is being very reassuring," Crowley says.
"I suppose so, but are you okay? That must have hurt," Sereia asks, concerned.
Ï'm quite alright. A bit winded from the sudden stroke," Crowley answers.
"Mine is also a handful," Sebek points out, "The way it insists on trailing behind my liege is MADDENING! We must return these from whence they came, and quickly! What should we do, Headmage?!"
"I'll need to look into a way to send them back," Crowley answers, being able to stand up.
He then says, "In the meantime, I ask that you each mind your respective Tsum. We wouldn't want them gadding about unsupervised and causing trouble."
Everyone exclaims in shock, "UGHHH..."
To hear the little arrangement.
"Why do I have to babysit?" Jack asks.
Sebek is frustrated, "Rgh..." But then says, "So be it. If that is what I must do to ensure my liege goes undisturbed, then I shall remain vigilant!"
"I'm pretty cool with mine, actually. At least he won't be borin' to watch," Floyd says.
And Cater says, "Guess my tsummy and I will have a photo sesh before it goes home."
"I guess it's the best we can do until we can send the little guys home. To where that is," Sereia says.
"Nothing like this has ever happened in all my time as headmage... I trust you'll all do your part to keep the peace on campus," Crowley says.
