Meanwhile at the Mostro Lounge birthday party venue...

"Happy birthday, Jade and Floyd!" Glory chirps.

"Thank you very much." Jade replies with a grin.

"How are you feeling with everyone celebrating?" Glory asks curiously.

"I'm deeply honored that everyone has come to celebrate for me and Floyd. However, and this is unusual for me, but so many people wishing me "Happy Birthday" has made me rather embarrassed." Jade admits.

"Regardless have your parents send you anything from your hometown?" Glory inquires.

"Yes, me and Floyd received a birthday message from our mother. 'Jade and Floyd, are you eating everyday?' It's wonderful that you're enjoying life on land, but remember to come let us see your faces at home every once in a while.'" Jade narrates with Glory beaming at him.

"Seems like she cares for you both." Glory stated.

"She's concerned about how we're faring. Although, messages from her are not a rare occurrence." Jade explains with Glory creasing her brows.

"Really? About how often did you and your brother contact your mother?" She asks curiously.

"She contacts us nearly everyday. Our mother has always been one to worry a lot." Jade informs with Glory giggling and smiling warmly at him.

"She really cares and loves you both. Speaking of both, could you tell us a memory you have about your birthday?" She requested causing the eel to tilt his head slightly.

"A memory...Oh, yes. Then I'll share a story from my childhood. Every year for our birthday, it wasn't just our relatives that would come over, but associates from our father's work as well and they gave us mountains of presents." Jade explains.

"Damn, that's a lot! What kind of things did you get?" She asks.

"All sorts of things: sweets, seaweed eye masks, and strange toys that one could only acquire on land. However, among those were also luxury substances that clearly no child would need. It seems those presents were from desperate people trying to gain out father's favor...er, rather, his trust." He said.

"So I'm guessing he's a strict and cautious man, I suppose." Glory assumes.

"Quite strict actually. Our father always made sure anyone who sent us those deeply meaningful gifts also left their signature. On the document which read, "This gift was given to you out of good faith, and we will not request anything in return for it." Even our father had a tendency to worry at times, just like our mother." Jade explains.

"Yeah I get ya. I have a parents who are just as protective as yours. Growing up as an only child, my dad taught me how to box and my mom taught me self defense while she lectured me on not "taking sh#t" from idiots; meaning I can't let anyone talk or break me down that easily. That's why I defend myself, my childhood besties, and my chaotic friends in Twisted Wonderland." She informs with Jade chuckling softly.

"Well, they do say that married couples take after each other...it's good that they get along well." Jade remarks causing her to curl her brows.

"What kind of household do you two come from?" Glory asks curiously looking baffled with Jade chuckling softly.

"This is simply a family-run line of work. We do all sorts of meaningless business with all kinds of people...it's very normal." Jade reassures yet his twisted smirk while baring his sharp teeth means something else. Glory curls her brows at his answer.

"Riiight...Anyways, how were your terrariums going?" Glory asks curiously.

"The terrariums are still as fresh and beautiful. I nurture wildlife from land in transparent cases such as glass containers and fish tanks. It's quite profound." Jade replies with an adoring grin.

"So tell me, Jade. What made you start doing terrariums?" Glory asks curiously.

"I started because of the Sea Witch from the Great Sevens. There's a tale about her, where she kept little creatures inside bottles." He explained.

"I know that and I really adore her terrariums! My mom even has terrariums both in her house and her flower shop! That's one of the reasons why I love plants and flowers so much!" Glory chirps with a bright smile and soon the eel's eyes glimmer perking Jade to smile warmly.

"You mother has quite the variety of plants in your shop. Regardless, I started after deciding that I wanted to have a little more understanding of an eminent figure I admired. When I was still at home, I had already grown various things inside bottles." He informs.

"What do you like about terrariums?" Glory asks curiously as Jade tilts his head slightly to the right.

"Hm..Perhaps the fact that I'm in control of them. It takes the skill of a supervisor to keep harmony in the worlds inside each bottle. Whether they live or die is also up to me. Managing terrariums, so to speak, almost feels like I'm the ruler of a little garden. But above else, I can grow them at my own pace, so it's very comfortable. Although, it doesn't always go exactly how I wish for it to." He stated.

"Oh?" Glory curls her brows looking puzzled and the eel nods at her.

"Plants I harvested myself will wither out of nowhere, unexpected plants will sprout from soil I gathered along the mountains...Surprise occurrences like those are simply another one of its charms." Jade explains.

"Though surprise occurrences can be fun; especially for a gentleman who relished unpredictable things like yourself and your brother." Glory assumes with a coy smile as Jade smiles back letting out a chuckle.

"Yes. It would just be boring if everything went the way I wanted it to." Jade agreed.

"My knowledge of wildlife on land is still rather small, so oftentimes I can't tell how I should take care of one...That's is why I have such a strong interest in terrariums." He informs.

"Good to know about your passions Jade. Though could you tell us a memory about your earring, if any?" Glory inquires causing the eel to caught off guard by her question.

"Oya, are you curious about this on my left ear?" Jade asks curiously with a surprise look erupting a giggle from the ravenette.

"Ara. I thought the Jade I know LOVES unpredictable things. Did it really caught you off guard?" Glory teasingly asks with a coy smile making Jade chuckle.

"Valid point, very well. I'll talk about it. Although, this story is from a little while ago. Before we were in middle school, there was a sturgeon that challenge Floyd and me to a fight." Jade told her.

"A fight?" Glory asks curling her brows.

"Of course. The sturgeon had the most beautiful scales on him." Jade said.

"So that's how you got the earrings." Glory assumes.

"Indeed. We were very intrigued, and asked if we could please have its scales if we won. I'm sure you know what happens." He implies with a smirk baring his sharp teeth at her. Glory wasn't fazed and answers him directly with a coy smile.

"Why of course you guys won the fight. Everybody knows that Moray eels are the most vicious creatures in the sea. There's no way in hell people could survive from the wrath of the moray eels." Glory assures as Jade perks into a smile.

"Yes. We were able to safely win against him, and he handed us his beautiful scales. We fixed them up, and now they are the earrings Floyd and I wear." Jade explains with Glory tilting her head a bit with a grin admiring his earring.

"Well I must admit, it looks very beautiful on you. Plus, it matches your hair color." Glory compliments and he smiled gently.

"Thank you. I'm happy to have something I'm fond of complimented. A sturgeon appears as a powerful figure in a verse of one of the spells the Sea Witch left behind and it's very popular to use sturgeon scales as amulets in the Coral Sea." Jade explains.

"Interesting...What else if popular in the Coral Sea?" Glory asks curiously.

"Hm...Ah, yes. Fireworks are extremely popular." Jade said baffling Glory.

"Hm? Fireworks in the ocean?" She baffled making the eel chuckle at her ludicrous question.

"No. On land, silly Angelfish. But yes, fireworks happens on land, many merpeople swim up to the surface to admire them. Floyd and I have gone near a beach on nights with fireworks as well. Everyone is preoccupied looking at the sky, so those on land usually don't notice us." Jade informs.

"Did Azul goes to see the fireworks too?" Glory asks curiously.

"Not exactly; mostly because he dislikes swimming in his form to arrive on land. Also, merpeople in the past used to think fireworks were jellyfish flying in the sky." Jade points out causing Glory to crease her brows.

"That's an odd misconception to think that." Glory remarks with a puzzled look.

"Indeed. I would think they're much too extravagant to be jellyfish, but...heheh. It's an amusing misconception." Jade chuckles with Glory snickering.

"Quite amusing indeed. Regardless, thank you for sharing all of this with us. It's been a pleasure talking to you and..."

Soon she got up and saunters to Jade to plant a kiss on his cheek erupting a tint blush over his cheeks.

"Happy Birthday once again." She said with a warm smile and he chuckles while smiling lovingly. Then he grabs her hand and kissed her hand before glancing back at her with an affectionate smile.

"With pleasure, Angelfish." He replies, but suddenly the door boomed across the venue when they both spun their heads to see Floyd.

"Lionfishie!!!" He shrilled with joy as he swoops in and brings Glory into a bear hug.

"Oof! Er..Hello Floyd." Glory utters while being suffocated by the perky eel.

"Ne ne, is it my turn yet, Lionfish?~" Floyd asks clinging on her like a child with puppy dog eyes.

"I just finished interviewing Jade, so yes it's your turn." Glory told him and he perks up.

"Yay!!" He cheers childishly with Jade chuckling at them with amusement.

"Well I must be leaving with you and Floyd. I'll be at the Mostro lounge greeting our guests. You two have fun now." Jade said getting up with an amused smile making her roll her eyes at him.

"You sly eel." She remarks with a grin.

"Love you too, Angelfish." Jade said with a coy smile as he slithers his way out of the lounge leaving Glory and Floyd behind where she turns to Floyd.

"Welp. It's you and me now." Glory said stroking his head where he lets out a loud purr and nuzzles her while he cackles.

"Eheheheh this is gonna be fun!" Floyd chirps with Glory sweatdropping in response.

This is definitely going to be chaotic....

Glory thought feeling like her party interview with Floyd is going to be tumultuous.
