The dark void is all (Y/n) could see before it changed to the Pride Lands. Instead of the beautiful, luscious nature of the animal kingdom, all it's left is a wasteland. Everywhere was gray, the plants and trees were dead, with bones everywhere, and no other animal in sight.

"What happened to this beautiful land." (Y/n) gasped as she put her hands to her mouth. She had tears as she walked around the new Pride Lands. (Y/n) had always held nature and animals in her heart, and seeing this land being destroyed broke her heart. She continued walking around the dry floors and entered Pride Rock. She was grateful that no one could see her as she watched Zazu sing to Scar inside an animal ribcage used as a jail.

Zazu: Nobody knows
The trouble I've seen
Nobody knows
My sorrow...

"Oh Zazu, do lighten up." Scar tosses a bone at Zazu and it clatters against the cage. "Sing something with a little... bounce in it." He requests. Zazu thinks for a moment before he sings.

Zazu: It's a small world after all...

Scar interrupted Zazu. "No! No. Anything but that!"

Zazu: I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts (diddly-dee-dee)
There they are a-standing in a row...

Scar is enjoying the song and starts to join in.

Zazu and Scar: Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head...

"Oh... I would never have had to do this for Mufasa." Zazu mumbled. Unfortunately, Scar heard him. "What? What did you say?" Scar gets closer to Zazu. "Oh, nothing!" Zazu quickly backs away. "You know the law: Never, ever mention THAT name in my presence. I... am... the KING!" Scar growls in anger. "Yes, sire. You ARE the king. I... I... Well, I only mentioned it to illustrate the differences in your royal managerial approaches." Zazu laughs nervously since he doesn't want to anger the new king more.

"Hey, Boss!" Banzai can be heard calling out to Scar. "Oh, what is it this time?" Scar rolled his eyes. "We got a bone to pick with you." Banzai said. Shenzi turned to Banzai. "I'll handle this." She then walked over to Scar. "Scar, there's no food, no water..." Then Banzai chimed in. "Yeah, it's dinner time, and we ain't got no stinkin' entrees."

"It's the lionesses' job to do the hunting..." Scar makes a helpless gesture. "Yeah, but they won't go hunt." Banzai complained. "Oh... eat Zazu." Scar gestured to Zazu. "Oh, you wouldn't want me! I'd be so tough and gamy and... eeww..." Zazu tried to make excuses for not getting eaten by the hyenas. "Oh, Zazu, don't be ridiculous. All you need is a little garnish." Scar began to walk away. "I thought things were bad under Mufasa." Banzai whispered to his fellow hyenas. Unfortunately, Scar heard him. "What did you say?" Scar glared.

"I said Muf..." Banzai was stopped when Shenzi jabs him. "I said, uh... "Qué pasa?" He then smiled nervously. "Good. Now get out." Scar ordered. The three hyenas were walking until they paused themselves. "Mm... yeah, but - we're still hungry." Banzai said. "Out!" Scar yelled. The three hyenas ran off as Ed let out a crazy laugh.

"By the Elder Gods. What's he done to this kingdom." (Y/n) gasped. Then the whole place begins to turn back to the black void. "What's happened to all that motivation he had before he was king?"

"Hey, wake up."

(Y/n) heard a familiar voice as she was shaken lightly to wake up. "That dream was quite depressing." (Y/n) sat up and she rubbed her eyes. Once she opened her eyes, they widened to see Jack beside her bed. "Jack?" Grim and Kiki got up from their sleep. "Huh? What are you doin' in our dorm?" Grim rubbed his eye to make the sleepiness go away. "I'm on my morning run. Today's the day of the Spelldrive tournament, and I wanted to make sure you didn't mess everything up by oversleeping." Jack explained. "Oh! Yeah, you're right! We gotta catch the bad guys so they'll squeeze Ramshackle House into the tournament as a reward!" Grim hopped out of bed. "I agree with you there but there's one thing I haven't figured out." (Y/n) spoke as she held onto Kiki. Everyone looked at her. "How did you get inside without my she-beasts knowing?"

Jack's eyes widen. He forgot about the giant predators that live in Ramshackle. Before he could reply, they heard growling coming from behind. Jack quickly stepped back as they slowly crept closer to Jack. (Y/n) got up from her bed and stood in front of Jack. "Easy, girls. He's a friend. He's here to help." Hearing the word "friend", the she-beasts sat down and obeyed (Y/n)'s orders. "Alright, since today is the Spelldrive Tournament, let's all do our best!" (Y/n) cheered as the beasts of Ramshackle cheered. Jack sighed. "I'll see ya at the tournament grounds. Don't you dare go back to sleep!" He takes his leave as (Y/n) hurries to get herself ready.

Outside of Night Raven College, the festival had started as everyone had finished setting up tents and stalls for the guests who came to see the tournament. Walking into the festival was the Octavinelle as they were observing the stalls and the guests.

"Hm, excellent attendance again this year. I'll have to check how the kiosks are doing. After all, now that I'm the head of the planning committee, we can't have merchants underreporting their sales, now can we?" Azul lets out an amused hum. "Housewarden, everything's ready at the coliseum. The players will begin arriving in ten minutes." Jade pointed to the coliseum. "Jade, Floyd, excellent work." Azul gave them a grateful smile. "Hey, Azul, what's the deal? Why do you have the players' procession starting at the east building this year? The paths are so clogged with attendees that it'll be real hard for the players to get through 'em!" Floyd whines as his hands are behind his head. "That was a special request from a certain client. I'm not privy to ALL the particulars." Azul smirked as they all continued their walk. "Ah, I understand. So this is related to that magic-boosting potion you were making yesterday." Jade puts the pieces together. "Wait, you understand WHAT? What does rerouting the players have to do with magic potions?" Floyd stomped his foot.

Jade smirked as he placed a finger to his lips. "Shhh. Someone might hear us. Lower your voices." Seeing how his twin was acting cool, Floyd got the idea. His smile grew bigger. "Ooh! Is something shady about to go down?" Azul adjusted his glasses. "That potion is only going to last for about thirty seconds. What could he possibly be plotting, I wonder?" Jade leaned closer to Azul. "Azul, you needn't feign ignorance. You know exactly what he's planning, don't you?"

"Do I? I wonder! Heh heh heh." Azul chuckled. "Aw, come on! Tell me too!" Floyd complained as he stomped his foot again. "Hee hee. And I was just thinking I wanted to refurbish the lounge, so this offer came at a most opportune time. But that's enough chit-chat. Time is money! Let's go see how concession sales are going." Azul laughed again as he led his dorm mates away from the chaos that would soon happen.

(Y/n), Grim, Ace, and Deuce were walking around the festival. Along with them was Kiki since she wanted to tag along while the rest of the she-beasts were with Riddle, Trey, and Cater. The boys were wearing their dorm attire, while (Y/n) wore her kombat attire, with her mask off. As they walked around, Grim's mouth drooled at the amount of food stalls. "Myaaah! Get a load of all the food stands! They got churros and funnel cakes and... Ooh, is that jerky?" Grim licked his lips at the food.

"Man, I can't believe I didn't make the team after all that." Ace whines with his head hung low. "Me neither..." Deuce nodded since he didn't get chosen either. "Don't worry, you two. There's always next year.." (Y/n) smiled as Kiki nodded on her shoulders. "Well, we have an important job to do anyway. We should focus on that." Deuce shakes his head to focus on the plan. "Yeah, good point. Focused. That's us." Ace agreed. Unfortunately, Grim wasn't paying attention as his main focus was on food. "Whoa, what's a corn dog?! I wanna try one! Come to papa, whatever you are!" Grim was about to run off but Ace caught him on time. "Eat later! We need to go!"

In Savanaclaw Dorm, Leona and Ruggie were outside as they waited for more people in the audience to fill the coliseum and the rest of the dorms to enter. "The players should be reachin' the stadium soon." Leona handed Ruggie a vial. "Everything's set. We're ready to go whenever." Ruggie smirked as he put the vial safely in his pocket. "Last year's champion will be up first-that's Diasomnia. Hah! My heart's pumping now." Leona laughed as he gave a wicked smirk. "Sha ha ha! Then let's get going!" Ruggie laughed as he ran off to start the plan.

Back in the festival, people were entering the coliseum as they took their seats to watch the tournament. Then the PA System began to speak to grab everyone's attention.

PA System: Welcome, one and all, to the Night Raven College interdorm Spelldrive tournament!
Thank you for your patience. The players will be entering the stadium momentarily!

The audience cheered as they drew their attention to the field.

PA System:  First up will be last year's champion. But can lightning really strike thrice?
Give it up for the Reigning Light...DIIIIIAAAAASOOOOOMNIIIIIAAAAA!

The audience cheered loudly for the champion of last year's tournament. They applaud as they watch the whole team of Diasomnia walking into the field, ready to show their skills.

In the shadows, Ruggie smirked as he watched everyone distracted by Diasomnia. "Ooh, what a crowd! It should be plenty large enough... Sha ha ha!" He pulled out the vial Leona gave him. First, to drink Azul's potion...Urk?!" He drinks it in one gulp. He gags from the taste. "Blech! What IS this?! It's awful! It's like...stew someone aged in gym sock." He quickly composed himself.
Urgh... Okay, get it together, Ruggie. Let's go. Time to fire off my signature spell...Let's send the audience running like a stampede of wildebeests! Okay, folks... "Laugh With Me!" Ruggie pulled out his pen and used his magic on the audience. Just like that, Ruggie had control of the audience as they suddenly lost full control of themselves. They were running everyone until a huge crowd was running to the field.

"Huh? What's that sound?"

"What is going on over there? There's a whole bunch of people charging at the players!"

"Wh-whaaaaa?! My body, I can't control— Ah! Out of the way! Out of the way!"

"EEEEEK! Don't push me!"

"Run! Before you get crushed!"

Their screams filled the coliseum as more people lost control of themselves.

PA System: What?! What's happening?!
Spectators are converging in some sort of reckless stampede! Everyone please, calm down! I beg of you!

Ruggie continued to watch as the audience screamed in panic and got closer to the Diasomnia team. "Whoa... Azul's potion is insane! Look at how many people I can control at once!" He stared in awe. He pants from exhaustion since he's using a lot of his magic. "I don't know how many more......I can handle, but this...should be enough!" He continued to use his magic on the crowd. "Let's see what you do now! Surely you wouldn't use magic against civilians? You're the Prince of the Fae, Malleus. Even if you wanted to, you wouldn't dare! So get squashed instead! Shyeheehee!" Ruggie cackles as he uses his magic to sim the stampede to Diasomnia. 

PA System:  The rush of stampeding spectators is headed right for the Diasomnia players...! Everyone, run away! Please, run awaaaaay!

Everyone cried in panic as the stampede of people was running towards Diasomnia. "If they keep coming, we're gonna get crushed! Everyone, protect Malleus!" The boy with silver hair warned. "This way, Housewarden! Malleuuus! N-no! We're too late! Oof! We're getting crushed!"The boy with light green hair panicked as he tried to reach for his dorm leader. "AAAAAH! MALLEUS, NOOOOO!" The boy with silver hair cried out. It was too late, the stampede had got to the Diasomnia team. Ruggie smirked at his work. "It worked! Exactly as we planned it!"He quickly ran back to Savanaclaw Spelldrive stadium.

Ruggie finally made it back to Savanaclaw. He pants as he tries to catch his breath. "... Leona, I did it! Did you see the broadcast?" Leona smirked wickedly as he nodded. "Yeah. That was nice work, Ruggie. So long, Malleus. This year, the throne is mine." Ruggie raised his fist in the air. "Long live the king! Sha ha ha!" He cheered with a laugh. Then the rest of Savanaclaw followed Ruggie's cheer. "Long live the king! Hooray!"

"I believe we've heard enough." Riddle spoke out as he, his dorm mates, Jack, (Y/n), Grim, and her she-beasts walked out of their hiding spots. Ruggie and Leona were in shock to see all standing behind them.
