Inside the Headquarters of Special Forces, General Sonya Blade was walking in with a tablet in her hands as she went over the notes everyone was able to gather about the new realm that (Y/n) was in. Of course, she labeled the files "Twisted Wonderland" as she reread through the files to see if she missed anything. She got to one of the offices that held her friends as they waited for her. Inside the office were Liu Kang, Jax, Johnny Cage, Nightwolf, Kuai Liang, Hanso, Stryker, Kabal, Li Mei, and Tanya. "Apologies for my tardiness, I was going over the files on "Twisted Wonderland". I tried to find anything we might have missed out." Sonya explained as she placed her tablet on the table. "We tried to find anything more from the communication talisman but we still can't find more information." Jax said as he pulled out some files.

Stryker takes one of the files. "So far we were able to see the school, a nature environment, the different dorms, and seeing that "Overblot" they called it." Stryker read through the files. "We even searched for any clues to find a way to (Y/n)." Kabal added. "There was also that mysterious portal that suddenly appeared in Outworld. (Y/n)'s she-beasts just leaped into." Kuai Liang added too. "From what we were able to gather, it's not enough to find the young princess and bring her home." Li Mei told. "Her she-beasts that leaped into that portal maybe with her. So we can be rest assured that she is safe with them." Nightwolf said with hope. Everyone nodded, they just hoped (Y/n) was safe with her she-beasts. They continued to go over their notes to find a way to bring (Y/n) home.

Outside in the training field, Liu Kang brought over his children along with Meena, Emerald, and Onyx for some training to distract them. Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda, and Kung Jin were training them along with Aiden and Leo. They were helping the teenagers and the child improve their kombat skills. Cassie and Jacqui were helping Azura since she was the youngest and still at the beginning of her training. Takeda and Kung Jin were training the teenagers as they pulled out some practice dummies to find the right spots to hit. The adults thought it would be a good idea to help distract them from the (Y/n) situation. Though they can see that it's not working. Azura was barely doing any of her practice exercises. She missed training with her big sister.

Jacqui noticed Azura feeling blue. "What's the matter, honey?" She asked as she kneeled to Azura's level. "I miss my sister. I liked training with her. She always made it fun for me." Azura began to tear up a bit. "Oh, I know, honey. We all miss her." Jacqui hugged Azura and rubbed her back to soothe her down.

Hearing Azura crying, everyone stopped their training and went over to her. Cassie explained what happened and the others couldn't help but feel depressed. The training wasn't the same without (Y/n). Meena and Emerald would always train together and see if they would go against Lijin, Aiden, Leo, and Skye. There were times (Y/n) and Emerald would help train Bolin and Onyx in their kombat skills.

"Hey, don't worry. (Y/n) will be fine. After all, we've all seen how strong she is. And she's made some friends to be by her side." Takeda tried to cheer everyone up. "By friends, you mean her boyfriends?" Bolin couldn't help but joke. "Please don't joke like that, brother." Lijin groaned in annoyance. "Oh come on. At least they're not some of those noble boys that she's rejected because of how they've treated her when we were smaller." Meena waved her hand dismissively. "I agree with Father on this. We don't know if those boys are worth of her." Lijin went into fully big brother protective mode. "Oh, there's the big brother protective mode. We haven't seen it in a while." Leo joked as everyone laughed.

"That least he's improving himself." Emerald smiled as she placed her hand on Lijin's shoulder. He smiled as he placed his hand on hers. Since the end of his arranged engagement, Lijin and Emerald were slowly building their relationship. And as promised, Lijin will fix things with (Y/n) when they find a way. Ever since he was engaged to Atara last year, Lijin was holding in his anger. He had to end his relationship with Emerald, he grew distant with his siblings and friends, and he took his anger on the wrong person that unfortunately day. He took his anger out on his own sister and he regrets it every day.

"Okay, why don't we get back to training before Lijin tries to find a way to stop your sister from seeing more guys from the other realm." Kung Jin joked. "Yeah, because he looks like he's about to explode." Cassie pointed at her and laughed a bit. Lijin gave everyone a deadpan look as everyone laughed at his expression. "Haha. Very funny."

Everyone got back to training and tried some different tactics to improve their skills. As they were continuing their training, Liu Kang and the other adults walked over to them. "Kids, it's time we all head out. There have been some strange activities going on." Jax told. "What's going on, Dad?" Jacqui asked as Azura hugged her leg. "Just like your father said, we suddenly got some reports of some strange activities going on in both realms. And it looks like old enemies may be back." Li Mei explained. This made the others worried.

Sonya sends Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda, Kung Jin, and Aiden to investigate one of the cases in Earthrealm. Kuai Liang and Leo had to get going to inform the rest of the Lin Kuei of the strange activities going on. Liu Kang, Li Mei, and Tanya took the rest of the children back to Outworld and informed the rest royal family to get everyone safe.

Lijin was just in relief that (Y/n) wasn't here to worry about the situations going on. However, he was still worried about what was going to happen if the strange activities were being controlled by old enemies of their parents. He just prayed to the Elder Gods it wouldn't come to that.
