"Ah! (Y/n)-senpai!" Yuu the magicless human called out to (Y/n).

"Well well well. If it isn't the oh so handsome Yuu!" (Y/n) grins as their eyes soften when she saw Yuu and Grim.

They still remember what he had to face during Riddles overblot, and to say that (Y/n) was grateful for them risking their life is an understatement.

Flashback -

"Riddle! You need to calm down and stop using your magic!" (Y/n) shouted as they stared at the floating rose bushes.

"I am ALWAYS right... There is no alternatives because I am ALWAYS RIGHT!" Riddle shouted going into a complete frenzy as a dark cloud encases his figure.

"Riddle!" (Y/n) shouted in horror as they tried to lunge at him only to be stopped by Yuu holding them back.

"Let go of me! I need to make sure Riddle is fine! Let go dammit... Riddle!" (Y/n) shouted in a panic as they struggled in Yuu's grip.

The dark cloud dissipates into nothing revealing the overblotted Riddle whom glared at everyone with hatred.

(Y/n)'s eyes widened in horror, a gasp escaping their lips as they thought of the possible outcomes from his overblot.

It was very likely that Riddle would die.

(Y/n) felt tears beginning to collect up in their eyes as they pant at the revelation that their childhood friend may die.

(Y/n) felt Yuu patting their head as they tried to regain their breath.

"You need to calm, we need everyone to be mentally and physically prepared for this. That includes you (Y/n)-senpai." Yuu stated, making (Y/n)'s lips tighten into a straight line as they wipe their tears away.

"Right...." (Y/n) let out a shaky breath before looking back at Riddle with a new found determination.

(Y/n) panted heavily as they made their way towards the unconscious Riddle.

They dropped to their knees and checked to see if he was breathing, they feel tears well up in their eyes as they hear him breathing.

"He's still alive." (Y/n) breathed out with a smile, making everyone else let out a breath of relief.

(Y/n) on the other hand got up and walked away before Riddle could wake up, making Trey walk over instead.

"I owe my life to you Yuu." (Y/n) said as they watched Riddle cry his heart out.

Yuu's eyes widened at them saying that.

"Without you leading us, I'm pretty sure Riddle would have been a goner. I am in your debt." (Y/n) smiled.

When Yuu had met (Y/n), they seemed so fake. Practiced smiled, practiced gestures, and thoroughly thought out words. It was as if they were trying to be someone else.

But now, they seemed more genuine. Yuu knows that they were Riddle and Treys childhood best friend, so he thought that they were some sort of pushover if they allowed Riddle to suffer this much.

But during the little time they had when Riddle was overbloted, they seemed like a whole new person.

Someone who was willing to put their life on the line for another no matter the cost of their actions.

So it's either (Y/n) had their own little traumatic past, or (Y/n) was forced by Riddle to act prim and proper.

End of flashback -

"How are you two? I hope that stupid bird brain of a headmage is actually taking care of you two. Just so you's know, Heartslabyul is always welcome to you two. You especially darling." (Y/n) grinned as they lightly punched Yuu on the arm.

Yuu on the other hand rolled his eyes with a small smile as Grim began protesting.

"Shouldn't you be in class? I'm pretty sure your "pretty boy" is going to be mad at you." Yuu said.

"Hmmm... Maybe I should call him that instead!" (Y/n) grinned as their eyes gleamed in excitement.

"Just get to class (Y/n)." Yuu chuckled.

"Yessir." (Y/n) saluted before skipping away.

Trey, Cater, (Y/n) and Riddle sat at a table conversing and eating their food.

"Oh! I forgot to ask but where were you during class (Y/n)?" Riddle asked (Y/n) with furrowed brows.

(Y/n) perked up at his voice before grinning.

"I was talking to the oh so handsome Yuu." (Y/n) stated, making Riddle even more curious.

"About what?" Riddle pressed on.

"Why so curious pretty boy?" (Y/n) grinned while wiggling their brows at Riddle, making him huff and go back to eating his food.

Trey and Cater on the other hand stared at Riddle with a knowing look.

While (Y/n) drank their favourite drink (f/d) with a content expression.

"Oh the handsome Yuu has appeared before me like an angel!" (Y/n) giggled as they ate some of Riddle's tart from his plate as he stared at the guests.

"And the great Grim! You always forget me.." Grim grumbled.

"Welcome Yuu, Grim. I am glad you two were able to make it to the unbirthday party." Riddle said with a practiced smile as he stared at Yuu with an unknown expression.

But that expression surely made Yuu feel uneasy...

Let's just hope it isn't anything too serious. :)

"Angel! Come sit by me!" (Y/n) grinned as they gestured towards the empty chair beside them, making Riddle snap his head towards them with a frown.

(Y/n) doesn't let anyone sit next to them unless it's absolutely necessary, but there are many seats empty for the magicless housewarden, so (Y/n) was doing all of this out of favouritism.

After Riddle's overblot, (Y/n) had become more energetic, but they had seemed to like spending more time with Yuu than Riddle himself. Which had Riddle baffled by that fact since them two have ALWAYS been together before.

It makes Riddle wonder if (Y/n) had fallen for the magicless housewarden.

If that was the case then Riddle wouldn't exactly know what he would do with himself. Since (Y/n) is usually beside him all the time.

Riddles thoughts are ended as (Y/n) hold up a fork with some tart on it towards Yuu. Making Riddle's lips tighten into a thin line.

Riddle poked (Y/n)'s shoulder making them look at him in confusion.

Riddle signaled for them to turn their body towards him, they obediently followed without hesitation as a small smirk graced their features.

Riddle took this opportunity to grab their hand and eat the piece of tart from the fork making (Y/n)'s eyes widen.

"Stop playing around, you also ate my tart so I expect you to feed me yours." Riddle frowned.

(Y/n) didn't respond making Riddle blush and begin to overthink his actions.

Did they hate him now?

Is that why they are always with Yuu?

Do they think he is an idiot?

A fool?

(Y/n) held their fork up to Riddle's lips with a smirk as a newfound playfulness was found in their eyes.

Riddle on the other hand blushed before eating the tart.

Yuu watched (Y/n) feed Riddle with a raised brow.

Was this their goal this whole time?
