"Nope."

"Why not?"

The wolf has to resist faltering to the way the prefect so innocently, staring at him with a pout while holding the wooden sled. "I'm a wolf. Not a sled dog." He made it clear to her, finding her request embarrassing for him.

She had bought a sled from her trip to Epel's hometown and was playing around with it until Jack came into her view. That's when an idea came into her head. It involved Jack turning into his wolf form and pulling the sled.

"Instead of a game, think of it as training to get faster. Remember you wished to outrun that reindeer during the winter break? This might be a good opportunity for you to brush up on your skills." She suggested eagerly, waving the sled around in front of him.

She became more hopeful when his ears perked and his scrunched up face softened, considering her idea. Pulling a sleigh would serve as an extra challenge as he would have to increase his speed while pulling a person.

However, he shook his head to snap out of it. While he liked the idea of it being training, he didn't want to be seen doing something meant for children. If it were his siblings or other kids, then that would be fine. But with the prefect, he felt it be embarrassing.

He eyed her as she held the harness and held it in front of him, persistence in her eyes.

"Nope!"

Yuuma placed the harness over his head.

"Nope!"

His ears flattened down while the prefect set the sled down.

"Nope!"

She sat down and pointed ahead to the direction she wanted to go. "Mush..." she ordered, getting a strange look from him. He shook his head, feeling like she was acting like a pup right now.

"I'll tell Leona what you did to his room last time."

His golden eyes got big when she revealed her secret weapon. The corners of her mouth went up, knowing she had him where she wanted him.

Two minutes later...

"Whooohoooo!"

Yuuma laughed gleefully, feeling the frosty air hit her face. Jack was panting, pulling the sled with his all his strength. He had given in and acted as her sled dog. "Hahahah! Yeah! Faster Jack! Faster!" She demanded eagerly, holding one of her arms up to feel the icy air run through her gloved hand.

"You got it!"

The wolf made a quick turn, nearly bumping the sled near a tree. Despite it missing, Yuuma did hear a scrape like sound and wood scratching at the corner. Her blue eyes went to where she heard and saw a slight scratch on the edge of the sled.

"Hey Jack! Be careful with your turns!" She cautioned him, almost losing her balance. Her arms waved around, and hands clenched the bars of the sled to maintain balance. But her warning fell deaf to his ears.

The wolf was getting excited. It was just like when he would do this with his siblings and the other kids back home. His paws were burning, and he loved the feeling of cold air running through his fur. He felt the blood pumping and the adrenaline running. He wasn't gonna stop until all his energy was drained.

His ears perked up when he saw a sharper turn coming up. That got him excited. He loved the feeling of making those turns and feeling his body go into almost a full circle.

"Hey, prefect! Hold on tight!" He told her, glancing back at her briefly before looking back. Yuuma looked in his direction, and her blue eyes widened.

"Wait, Jack! That turn is really-!"

She tried to warn him but suddenly felt her body fly and no longer felt the wooden platform of the sled beneath her knees. The next thing Yuuma knew was the cold air nipping at her face, and the cold increased when she found herself plunging right into the snow. Up to her head and half her body, she felt the cold spread even further.

"How was that, Yuuma?! Yuuma?"

The wolf asked, but his ears twitched to find no reply. That's when Jack realized how light the sled suddenly felt. He started slowing down and turned around. His ears shot up when he found the sled empty with no prefect on it. 

"mmmm!"

A muffled sound went from one ear to another and as his golden eyes scanned around, they grew big to see two pairs of winter boots kicking and trying to get out the rest of the other half. "Oh!" Immediately, he rushed over, and his paws rapidly dug through the snow. It actually helped because part of the snow crumbled from where he was digging, and Yuu got one of her arms free. With her one free arm, she started to try and push herself out while Jack tugged on her coat with his teeth.

PLOP!

The prefect finally popped out of the snow, looking like a snowman at this point. Jack shifted back into his beastman form and frantically checked her to see if she was hurt from the fall. "Sorry! I guess I got a little bit too eager." he apologized, rubbing the back of white ear. His hands helped dusted off the snow clinging to her coat, face and hair. Her blue eyes blinked at him, and she just shook her head with a "Brrrrr!" as the snow was back on the snowy ground once again. "No worries! It was worth the brain freeze!" she assured him, smiling gleefully at him. 

Jack stood back, startled by that reaction sometimes, she had the most unexpected reactions, and he genuinely wasn't sure if it was from staying in Twisted Wonderland. However, that smile and the tip of her nose being red from the cold and bits of snow on her hair did make him smile. "Soooo another go?" she pointed to the sled, despite what just happened.

Jack stared at the sled and then back at her, ready to remind her what just happened but one look at the puppy eyes, plus the fact she was gonna rat him out to Leona about something, he sighed as his ears drop but smiled anyway and nodded yes to her. "But this time hold on tight." he ordered, shifting back into his wolf form as the prefect eagerly scrambled to her feet, ready for another go on the sled.
