"How did I get stuck with you as my tutor?"

"Because you skip too many classes"

Yuu and Leona were in the botanical garden, studying together. Or at least trying to.

"And thanks to you constantly requesting me to sit in front for you so you can have your naps, Professor Crewel thinks I'm helping you and to prove my loyalty, I have to tutor you and make sure you pass the next exam coming" she explained to him irritated. She allowed it a couple of times, but now she was accused of helping him. He had to pick class time for his naps.

"Now stop complaining, and actually study. Or Ruggie will pass you, and have reason to make fun on why you didn't graduate yet" she told him, making fun of the lion. She heard him growl in annoyed, satisfying her that she found something that ticked him off.

"Oy. Don't make me retract your claws. I'll scratch you myself, herbivore" he warned her irritated, turning his head to the other side to avoid her.

"You don't have claws"

His ears flicked back to her voice when he heard that. That made him rolled onto his back to look at her. "Excuse me?" He asked her, challenging the prefect at that flat-out answer.

"Do you have claws? Cause the only time I saw them was during your overblot. And that was probably the overblot's doing. Not you" she challenged him boldly, flipping the notebook for some notes she was looking for.

"Tsk" Leona said, getting annoyed how the prefect doubted him. He sat up, catching her attention. He brought one of his gloves to his mouth and his teeth grabbed on the leather to peel it off. It dropped to the ground as his classmate watched him puzzled. He briefly glanced at her with a smirk to see her reaction as he clenched his hand and then opened it again.

SHING!

"Whoa! You got claws?!"

Yuu grabbed his hand instantly when she saw the sharp golden claws retract. Her face was both surprised yet excited, which honestly startled Leona. 'Wasn't she just irritated just now?' He thought in his head, confused. Sometimes, he could never understand the mysterious prefect.

"Cool!" She awed, gently moving his fingers to analyze his claws. When she saw them the first time, it was during his overblot. They were black and ink covered and it sent her chills looking at them. He even scratched her during his overblot rampage and it stung. It probably hurted more than with regular feline claws. However, these claws didn't send that same feeling. She was actually in awe of them.

"You are that easily impressed, aren't you?" He told her, taking the chance to tease her. It kinda amused him to see her this way. It wasn't until Yuu realized what she was doing that she pulled away from his hand, and looked away. "Oh! Um sorry!" She apologized, realized that may not have been the smartest or even the appropriate thing to do. Especially with a beast man. "Let's get back to studying!" She said, picking up the notebook again to change the subject.

Leona chuckled at her, her reaction furthering his amusement. One thing he loved about her was how she reacted to so many things easily. One moment she flat out denied him boldly, then she's all excited to see his claws, and she's flustered about touching them because she thinks she offended them.

"Relax. If I was mad at you, I would've swiped at you" he assured her, flexing his claws. "And besides, you're the last person I would want to scratch" he told her and she noticed how serious his voice got. Yuu turned back to him, her face softening at him because she knew what he was referring to.

During his overblot rampage, he had scratched her and it stung her greatly. It was extremely painful, and she remembered seeing how horrified Leona was when he hurt her. In fact, the lion beast man would be furious at anyone if even the slightest scratch was on her skin.

The prefect glanced at his hand, seeing his green eyes on the sharp golden claws still out. Carefully, she slipped her hand into his, interwining them. This caught the lion by surprise, making him glance at her confused. Yuu had the warmest smile as she tilted her head at him in a cute way that made him blush. It ticked him off that those looks for her was his weakness.

"You know what's the cool thing about your claws? That their your main weapons. You have them on you all the time so you can get them out anytime you want. It's kinda cool if you ask me" she told him, wanting him to see the good side of having claws. They could probably retract out of the gloves actually which would make a nice little sneak attack honestly.

Leona stared at her puzzled, tilting his head with one ear down. It made Yuu giggle at that reaction. She loved the way his ears moved to his emotions like that. Actually, his ears lifted up at her giggling. It made look down to hide the smile forming from her. She was contagious that was for sure. In a good way.

He then remembered that they were still holding hands. Getting flustered, the lion quickly unwrapped their hands, and slip his glove back on. Glancing for a distraction, he noticed the notebook on the ground, and grabbed it. "Come on. Enough talking about my claws. Are you gonna help me with my studies or just gonna keep complimenting?" He asked her annoyed but the prefect just smiled amused at him. "Um what are we studying again?" He asked her, genuinely realizing he had no idea what they were suppose to be doing.

"Here I'll show you" she offered him, taking the notebook to find the notes they were looking for.
