In Savannaclaw dorm, Leona's room....

"I'm telling you, Mara! Just don't clean his room!"

Ruggie was trying to convince Mara not to clean their housewarden's room. But the extremely aggravated cheetah had caught the smell from all the way in her room and was fed up with it.

"Are you serious?! Look at this room, Ruggie!" The cheetah snarled, turning her head sharply to him with arms spread out to gesture the mess. Leona's clothes were all over the whole bedroom from the corner of the bed to the edge of the closet. The smell of food that he had eaten in the room mixed with the odor of sweat from PE and spelldrive practice was enough to make Mara scrunch her nose.

Ruggie didn't really mind the mess. He just minded that he was the one cleaning it all the time. While the hyena had no problem having someone else do the dirty work for him, it concerned him that Mara was one cleaning his boss's room. The two were intense rivals. It did seem they were on better terms after Leona's overblot, but there were still disagreements that could spark a fight.

"Listen. If he wants to live like this, let him. He won't mind me cleaning, but he finds out YOU cleaned it. There's no telling how he's gonna feel about that. I'd say leave it like this." Ruggie insisted plainly but genuinely did care about his classmate's wellbeing.

Mara, however, looked at him with

"His bed is undone, and the stench is so bad that I can smell it from my room! Argh! I get he won't move his lazy tail, but it is not THAT hard to clean his room! Argh! He gets on my nerves!" She vented fustratedly, ears flatten and tail cutting into the air sharply to express her growing irration.

"Hee hee hee."

Her spotted ears turned to Ruggie when she heard that usual snicker of his. "What so funny, Bucchi?" She inquired, turning to glance at him.

"You like him, don't ya? Usually, people who get on your nerves are your favorite people to be with. Then again, you two have been getting close..." the hyena remarked, smiling, wanting to laugh at the flushed look on Mara's face.

"SNARL!"

"YEOW!"

A sudden snarl from the king cheetah with teeth bared gaved Ruggie a good reason to shut up and run for it with his tail between his tail. Now that he was gone, Mara used the yellow bandana to pull her hair back to stay out of the way and took her jacket off for more movement.

"Whether Leona likes it or not..." she told herself, scrolling through her playlist for some music. "I'm gonna like it because I won't deal with that smell anymore." She finished, picking a song and playing it. Setting it aside on a nightshade, she started by fixing his bed and sorting out the dirty clothes from the clean ones, which turned out to be a LOT of dirty clothes.

Once that was sorted, she dumped the majority of dirty clothes in a laundry basket and got to his closet where she was nearly drowned by an avalanche of clothes when she opened it. The cheetah folded and put them in place in the closet and got to scrubbing, mopping, and any kind of cleaning the room needed in her eyes.

A few minutes later...

Setting the broom against the wall, the cheetah huffed, blowing one of her dreads off her face. She looked back at the room with hands on her hips. The room was free from any piece of clothing, and a nice fragrance of fruits had chased away the sweaty odor, thanks to the air freshener she put in his room.

The cheetah smiled, proud of herself and the result. It wasn't easy, given how large the room was and how much of a mess its owner left it. But to see the end result pleased her.

Mara stretched her back, feeling it sore from the extensive work. Without thinking twice, she lay down on the massive bed, purring in delight at how soft the blanket was, free from the stench after getting a nice long wash in the washer. It was till fresh and warm from being just taken out of the drying as she inhaled its scent.

"Hm?"

Mara felt something bright hit her eye, causing her to wince and look around. Her golden eyes widened in curiosity at spotting the source of that sparkling light.

"Leona's necklace?"
