Soon enough, the upper-class students are able to take down the monster.

"Is it...over?" Ruggie asks, executed.

"Looks like it," Leona says.

Briar steps forward and says, "Just one more thing we need to go."

Briar walks towards the magic as she uses the magestone to channel her magic. She kneels down toward it, touches the monster's head gently, making a bright gold yellow glow appear on her hand. And Briar begins to sing.

Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

As Briar sings, the magic aura flows across the monster.

Briar:

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Briar continues to sing as the monster is covered with the glow, and the monster begins to fade away into golden dust. Everyone witnessed it in astonishment.

Briar:

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

The monster feels at ease to hear the song, and lifts its oozing hand out and touches Briar's hand.

Briar:

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

The monster soon disappears into sparkling yellow dust and they take off into the sky.

Briar:

What once was mine

The monster is close to turning to dust completely, before disappearing for good. It lets out a sigh with a smile. Briar then leans to the broken glass of the monster and gives it a gentle kiss.

Just then, the monster softly mumbles in a happy tone, "Thaaaaaaaank... yoooooooouuuuuuu..."

And the monster turns into golden dust completely and flies into the night sky.

Deuce smiles and says, "I guess that's officially it."

"Once again, Briar is able to heal it and have it sent off to a better place," Jasper says.

Ruggie sighs in relief, "Wheeew. I am BEAT. Things got dicey for a moment there. Everybody make it through?"

"I would never lose to a creature whose basic nature I cannot even discern," Sebek says.

"Wish it would've stuck it out a bit longer," Floyd says.

Tanzanite asks, "Are you okay, Briar? I imagine that spell took quite a bit out of you without your pen."

"I'm fine," Briar says, "A little drained, but with the magestone Sereia had I'm able to use the spell."

"Now I can finally leave this tunnel. I came back for the pickaxe, and that thing attacked me. I fled further into the mine, summoned a cauldron, and jumped inside," Deuce says as he begins to take his leave, "But I think...I've had enough..." and begins to show signs of exhaustion.

Ace soon notices as Deuce begins to collapse, "Whoa there, Mr. Wobbly Legs. Are you okay?" and helps him up.

"Were you hiding in that cauldron this whole time? You must be exhausted..." Jack questions.

Ace and Deuce remain silent as they hear a loud sound.

Grim laughs, "Myahahah! Was that your STOMACH? That was loud enough to cause a cave in! "

"Look, I haven't eaten since yesterday! What do you expect?" Deuce says.

"Boy, way to make a fool of yourself. But hey, at least you're okay," Ace says.

"Ace is right, you could have been badly hurt," Briar says.

"Yeah. I'm glad we decided to come. I wouldn't have been able to sleep if we'd left you in the lurch," Jack says.

"Thank you for coming to get me," Deuce says.

"You're welcome. We're glad you were able to get away from that thing," Jasper says.

"Well, the most important thing is that you're safe. That all it matters," Briar says.

Suddenly, Leona says, "You guys done yet? We need to get back before our clubs get disbanded."

Sebek realizes it as well, "AH! I completely forgot! If we don't make it back to the cottage in time, all our hard work will have been for naught!"

Ruggie has a scowl expression on his face.

Floyd notices, "Hm? What's with the scowl, Sharksucker? Aw, lemme guess: You don't wanna go back? You sad that camp's over?"

"Of course I don't wanna go back. I've come this far. I just CAN'T leave without snagging some magestones!" Ruggie explains.

"So you'd be okay with your club getting shut down AND losing out on the prize?" Jack questions.

Ruggie thinks a minute, "...Yeah, I could live with that. Sure, our club might get disbanded, but if I dug up a decent number of magestones and sold 'em... My return would more than make up for it!"

"Wow, he really doesn't care about anything but his bottom line..." Ace says.

"He'd actually be okay getting the Spelldrive Club abolished? Talk about scary," Deuce says.

Trinket nods in agreement.

This doesn't sit well with Sebek as he says, "How self-serving can you be?! We have no time to indulge your avaricious fantasies. The rest of us are leaving!"

"But I can't just leave him after he came to rescue me..." Deuce says.

And Floyd says, "Okay, now I'm annoyed. We took down the monster. There's nothin' left to do. I'm tired of standin' around in this cramped, dingy cave," And calls out, "Hey, Sharksucker?"

"Yeah?" Ruggie questions.

And Floyd says, "Remember when you said you'd do any one thing I asked? I wanna get outta here. Give up the magestones." and looking kind of scary.

Ruggie exclaims, "WHAT?! But that's not fair..."

"A deal's a deal, right?" Floyd says.

Sebek laughs, "Hahaha! I don't see a problem! The request meets all your criteria!"

Ruggie growls in annoyance, "Rrrrrgh... Fine. I'll let it go this time. I just hope no one else finds this spot before I get a chance to come back. We should block the back tunnels with a boulder. You guys'll help me with that much, right?!"

"You're seriously gonna come back here?" Leona questions.

Ruggie sighs, "Okay, let's just get out of here before I really regret it."
