Chapter 67: An Even Deeper Trek Tower 1 Part 21
The group has fought against the Phantoms and soon are able to defeat them until they turn into puddles of ink
The Phantoms screech, "Growrrr..." and melted.
Briar sighs, "I guess it wasn't Grim after all."
"I thought that was Grim, but it was just a Phantom with a passing resemblance," Vil says.
'I was so sure it was him!" Epel says.
"Me too," Briar says, sadly.
"So did I," Sereia says.
"Likewise. I normally never mistake one animal for another," Rook says, "I suppose it just goes to show how fatigued we are."
Briar then brings out some water and says, "Here, have some water. It should settle our nerves after going through that."
"That's very considerate of you, Briar. Thank you," Rook says.
Everyone is soon given bottles of water and drinks some of them. Briar also helps Trinket with a small drink of water.
"We can't let ourselves get psyched out," Epel says.
"Our focus is waning now that we're tired. We must stay calm and remain cautious. Even if we don't find Grim on our way down..." Vil says, "Once we smack some sense into Idia and Ortho and make them turn the Cerberus System back on, we should locate him in no time. You of all people should know how brazen and stubborn Grim is, Briar. Those entrusted with running a dorm must have faith in their fellow students. So let's have a little faith in him."
Briar nods her head, "Right."
Everyone continues walking the stairs to the next location.
Just then, Epel looks down the stairs, "Ah, look! We're coming up on the next containment facility."
"According to the map, the Underworld is just on the other side of this one," Vil says, looking at the map.
"Which means it holds the most dangerous Phantoms of all. Make sure you stay on our toes," Rook says.
