Epel cries out, "Wait, hold on, Rook! ROOOK!"

But it's too late, Rook is already gone.

"It's too late... Rook is gone," Jasper says.

The Island of Woe's probably crawling with those soldiers who took Vil and the others. Not even Rook can handle those guys by himself. He's flying straight into danger," Epel says.

"What are we going to do?" Sereia asks.

"I'm not sure," Epel answers and tries to think, "Should we tell a teacher? Or maybe we could follow him and stop him... Wait, no. Professor Crewel told us to stay put. But... Rrrgh..."

Just then, Epel shouts in rage, "RRRAAAAGH!" and declares, "Forget it! We can't spend all day hemmin' an' hawin'! I ain't gonna sit back on the sidelines! I'm goin' after Rook!"

"What?!" The gang exclaims in shock.

"Are you crazy? We're not allowed to leave the school grounds," Jasper says.

"We don't know where the Island of Woe is," Sereia says.

"And even if we get out of campus and find out where the island is, it's too dangerous for us to go there. We could also get in big trouble," Tanzanite says.

Trinket flies to Eepl and lets out tinking sounds, urging Epel not to go.

However, Epel says, "I can't stand the idea of sittin' pretty while someone else does all the work!"

Just then, the four of the Ramshackle Group begin to have a flashback of when Briar has been kidnapped.

Flashback 1:

And just then, one of them zaps Briar, causing her to scream, "AAAUGH!" And ends up falling unconscious.

"Briar!" Tanzanite and Jasper cry out.

The others end up losing all their energy and end up being defeated.

"Argh... Didn't stand...a chance... Urgh-" Ace says in pain and collapses.

Deuce feels the same, "Urgh... Guh!" and collapses on the ground.

"Dag...nabbit..." Epel says before collapsing.

And soon, everyone has fallen unconscious on the ground, except for Trinket and Sereia, who are desperately trying to wake them up.

One of the suited men, then says, "Subject H subdued. Securing now." and walks over to pick up the unconscious Briar as her necklace falls off her neck.

Grim desperately shakes the bars of his cage, "Lemme out! I don't wanna go! Let go of Briar! Help!"

And soon enough, one by one, the suited men take their leave, taking Briar, Jamil, Vil, and Grim with them.

Sereia cries out, "GRIM! BRIAR! NOOOOOO!"

Kalim cries out, "VIL! JAMIIIL!"

"Rgh..." Rook replies with frustration.

And then in the infirmary when Decue and Ace are still unconscious.

I know what you're thinking. There's a chance we'd just be dead weight. But you can't stand it either, right? I mean, they got your partner and our friends. Night Raven College students don't take this sorta thing lyin' down!" Epel says with determination.

Just then, Jasper says, " Epel's right. We can't just stand here and do nothing while those creeps do something to them. Briar and Grim are our friends."

"Well, I know it will be a big risk, but Briar, Grim, and the others are in trouble, and I feel useless just standing here, thinking of what might happen to them. I'll help too," Tanzanite says.

Trinket tinks and is showing determination in her tone, meaning that she is willing to help.

Epel turns to Sereia, "What about you, Sereia?"

"Well... I admit, I'm really scared of going over there. We might get lost or in trouble, and even if we did find them, we'll be facing those scary guys, but... I'm scared for Briar and Grim even more. I'm scared of what might happen to them," Sereia says.

She then takes a deep breath and says, "Le-Let's do this! Let's save Briar, Grim, and the others!"

"That's the spirit, Seriea," Epel says. "We better hurry, we don't want to lose Rook's trail.

The group nod their heads and hurry out of the Hall of Mirrors to follow Rook and save the others.

Sometime later, amidst the clouds in the night sky, Rook is flying on the broom stick. With his expertise, Rook is able to pick up the trail.

He says, "The traces head north. With a broom and a teleporter, I can reach them in a day... Maybe even half a day if I push. I wonder if Monsieur Pommette is angry with me for leaving as I did."

Suddenly, he begins to hear a familiar voice, "Roo..."

He soon hears the same voice again, "Roook..."

"Heh. Yes, he would undoubtedly yell my name in that energetic tone of his, and—" Rook says, and soon turns his head to the back to see something shocking, "what?"

When Rook turns around, he sees Epel, Sereia, and the twins riding on broomsticks. Trinket is sitting in Epel's pocket for protection.

Epel calls out, "We finally caught up to you! NOW GIT ON BACK HERE!

"Pull that broom over right now!" Jasper calls out.

Still hanging on to the broom for her life, Sereia says in fear, "So fast, so high... I'm scared!"

"You're doing good Sereia, just hang on!" Tanzanite says.

Seeing them, Rook exclaims, "Epel?! Sereia?! Jasper?! Tanzanite?! Trinket?!"
