Seeing the flying carpet in the room, Grim panics, "Th-the carpet's movin' all on its own! It's been possessed by a ghost!"

Briar and the others rush to Grim to see the Carpet before them.

Kalim smiles and says, "Ah, there you are! Go back over and curl up in your usual spot, would you?"

The carpet simply nods in reply.

"What in the world is this?!" Grim asks, shocked.

"This is a legendary treasure from Scalding Sands lore—a magic carpet! The sultan that the Sorcerer of the Sands served used to love his flying carpet. This one's a replica of it. It's been in our family for generations," Kalim explains.

The carpet nods its head in reply.

"You mean that carpet flies around like a broom?" Grim asks, surprised.

"More or less. That's probably the easiest way to put it," Kalim says.

"Amazing, I've read stories involving magical flying carpets, but it's amazing to see the real thing," Briar says.

The carpet is delighted and circles around Briar.

Kalim says, "I think the carpet is flattered.

Then he looks out the window and says, "It's getting dark, so why don't we go out for an evening ride in style? Come along, all aboard!"

And with that, Kalim climbs on the magic carpet.

Surprised, Grim asks, "Really? Are you sure I won't fall off that thing?"

"I have to agree. It seems rather dangerous," Tanzanite says.

"Sounds kind of scary," Sereia says.

"It's totally safe! Trust me," Kalim says with a big smile.

"Well, if you say so," Briar says.

"Are you sure the carpet can hold all of us?" Jasper asks.

"I'm sure, come on," Kalim says.

Everyone soon agrees and climbs on the magic carpet.

Once everyone is on the carpet, Kalim says, "And away we go!"

With that wave of his magepen, Kalim has the carpet fly out the window with the passengers and into the midst of the night clouds.

Grim screams in surprise, "Aaaah! We're really flyin'! This is crazy high up! Look how teeny the dorm looks from up here.

"How do you like the world above the clouds?" Kalim asks.

"Wow. It's so pretty," Sereia says.

"Amazing," Tanzanite says.

"Totally cool," Jasper says.

Even Trinket tinks in a happy reply.

It's like... a whole new world, or something," Briar says, astonished

Kalim smiles, "Aha ha! That good, huh?"

"This totally rules!" Grim cheers.

"There's nothing quite like soaring through the sky. It shows you how little all your troubles really matter in the grand scheme of things. Of course, Jamil always says I don't worry enough about things as it is... It wouldn't hurt him to take life a little easier," Kalim says.

Grim looks down in amazement, "Mrow! Check out that river over there! I ain't never seen a bird like that before!"

"Ooh, good eye. Let's go take a closer look!" Kalim happily says.

Kalim then has the magic carpet fly down towards the river to see the birds.
