Later that night, the fireworks show is about to start.

"The fireworks should start any minute now," Jamil says.

"Well, what's the verdict, guys? Is Silk City a fun place or what?" Kalim asks.

"Oh, for sure! We did so many cool things in just one day!" Cater happily answers.

"I never knew travel could be so wonderfully liberating. I must thank Lilia for giving me the opportunity," Malleus says.

"I got to stuff myself with good food! If this is what vacations are like, I wanna go on one every day!" Grim happily sas.

"It was also nice getting to wear some traditional clothes," Trey says.

Soon, the fireworks are fired into the sky, and everyone is amazed to see the colors of the fireworks.

Kalim notices, "Look, the fireworks are starting!"

"Oh man, this is incredible," Cater says.

"I've never seen such huge fireworks before!" Trey says.

"Me either," Tanzanite says.

"It feels as though I could reach out and touch one," Malleus says.

"You'll miss half the fun if you just stand there watching, you know," Jamil says.

"Why's that?" Trey asks.

"This festival's all about dancing under the fireworks!" Kalim says.

Then Jamil says, "The tradition stems from when people danced to celebrate the young man and princess's marriage," and turns to the others, "So, how about it? Want to join in and celebrate them as well?"

"If it's one of your traditions, I would be honored to take part," Malleus says.

That sounds like fun, "Briar says.

Grim happily says, "C'mon, guys, dance with us!"

"Let's dance!" Jasper says.

"I'd better get ready to issue my cue. Is everyone all set?" Jamil says.

Everyone soon positions themselves and with Jamil's cue, everyone begins to dance under the fireworks. Other people who are watching the fireworks also get down to dance under the fireworks as well. As everyone dances, the fireworks continue being launched into the air and explode in multiple different colors. Soon, Jamil casts magic and uses it to launch a very big firework in the air and it explodes into multiple colors.

Sometime later...

Once the dance is done, Jamil breathes heavily, and asks, "How was that? Did I time it right? Please tell me I didn't mess it up..."

At the stone steps everyone compliments like, "'Amazing! Look at the size of that one!' 'The fireworks are going off in time with the music.' 'This has got to be the most thrilling fireworks show I've ever seen! It's so fantastical!'"

Among them are Najma's friends, who says, "Another great show, huh, Najma?"

"Definitely!" Najma says, "I dunno why, but I think the fireworks this year are the prettiest ones we've had yet."

"Looks like everyone's into it. Guess that means I did my job right," Jamil says, and lets out a sigh in relief, "Whew... What a relief......"

"Flawless timing, Jamil. You know how to build that hype!" Cater says.

"Indeed. Fine work, Viper," Malleus says.

"You really pulled it off," Trey says.

"We've been going to this festival since we were kids," Kalim happily says. Then turns to Jamil and asks, "Were you nervous to give the signal? Did it feel like a lot of pressure?"

Jamil responds with confidence, "Hmph. Of course not. I do a high-pressure job every day."

"Seeing the fireworks light up the night sky is just awe-inspiring. All of them different colors, no two exactly alike... Every moment beautiful in its own way," Trey says.

"So this is Silk City's fireworks display. Truly a spectacle worthy of the legend it arose from. I was shocked to learn it's all controlled by machines rather than magic," Malleus says.

And Cater says, "I made sure to put my camera in night mode so I could get the whole show on video! I'll send it to you all later. That way you'll always be able to remember tonight."

"I ain't never seen fireworks this big! They're so mind-blowin', my tail's all puffed out!" Grim says.

"I know. I've never seen them this big, and all the pretty colors," Sereia says.

"You made it all possible, Jamil," Kalim says.

"I wouldn't say that. Though admittedly, I can't wait to see the look on Najma's face when she finds out I was involved in the show. I don't think I've ever been in such a good mood at this festival," Jamil explains. He then says with a calm smile, "...It's been fun."

And Kalim happily says, "It sure has! I had a great time. We should bring our friends to the festival every year!"

This has Jamil shocked, "What?!"

"Yeah! You gotta invite me again, Jamil! I'm into this shindig!" Grim happily says.

"You know, this HAS been a lot of fun. I'd love to come again," Trey says.

"I would like to come back again," Tanzanite says.

"Me too. The place is so cool," Jasper says.

"I'd like to learn much more about this land," Malleus says.

"I would like to come back too," Briar says.

"Me too," Sereia says.

Trinket nods her head in response.

"I definitely don't wanna miss this again. I got so many good pics from this trip, I don't know which ones to post first," Cater says.

Kalim turns to Jamil with a smile, "You hear that, Jamil? We gotta do this again!"

"You've got to be kidding me. Do you have ANY idea how stressful this day was for me?!" Jamil cries out.

But Kalim looks up in the sky to notice, "Ooh, here comes the grand finale! They're sending up a buncha big ones!"

Everyone looks up to see multiple fireworks launched at the same time for the grand finale

"Wow. It's gorgeous," Briar says.

"Now THAT is pretty!" Grim says.

"It certainly is," Malleus says.

"Pretty as pretty can be," Cater says.

"Really pretty," Sereia says.

The twins and Trinket nod in response.

"You got that right," Trey says.

"The fireworks really are pretty. Somehow this year's seem especially nice..." Jamil says.

Everyone sits at the steps as they continue to watch the show and are amazed.

As the show comes to an end, Jamil turns to Kalim, "...Hey, Kalim?"

"Yeah?" Kalim replies.

"...Maybe having everyone here isn't so bad after all," Jamil says.

And with the fireworks finale continuing until the end, the trip to the Scalding Sand is proven to be fun for everyone.
