Soon, Cater notices a large crowd, "Hey, what's up with the crowd at that ice cream shop?"

"It doesn't seem like they're lined up, just watching something. Maybe the shop has some special kind of ice cream?" Trey says.

"I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to try more Scalding Sands ice cream," Malleus says and walks to the stand. He then asks, "Might I have a scoop?"

"Sure thing! You visiting the area? Then you're in for a surprise," The vendor says and hands him a cup, "Here's your cup. Just hold onto it and gimme a sec."

Mallues does just that and the vendor works on the ice cream.

Cater is surprised, and yet amazed, "Whoa! He's kneading the ice cream with a pole and stretching it out super long! Oh, that is COOL."

"Okay, it's ready! Now hold out your cup," The vendor says.

Malleus does just that, "All right," but suddenly, "Hm?!"

The ice cream disappeared.

"Oh my!" Briar says, surprised.

"The ice cream just disappeared!" Cater adds.

"C'mon, now. You gotta catch it!" The vendor says.

"Right. I'll do that," Malleus says, and is able to catch the ice cream.

The vendor smiles, "Ahaha, how's that?! I bet you've never seen stretchy ice cream before!"

"He keeps dangling the ice cream in front of Malleus then yanking it back..." Trey says, surprised.

"Stretchy ice cream?!" Tanzanite says, surprised.

Jasper laughs, "It looks like fun!"

"I wanna try!" Grim says.

"Me too!" Sereia says.

Jamil doesn't feel the same, "AAAHHH! I am SO SORRY, Malleus. It's supposed to be a bit of fun, but I must apologize for their rudeness! I implore you to overlook this!"

"...What are you talking about, Viper?" Mallues questions.

"Huh? So, you're not angry that they're teasing you and playing keep away with the ice cream?" Jamil questions.

"It would take far more than that to anger me, I assure you. I was simply impressed with the performance," Malleus says.

"Thank you. Let's see how this is," Malleus says, taking his treat. He eats it and says, "It's most pleasant, and the texture's fascinating. I'd say I like it."

"Whew... Glad to hear it," Jamil says, in relief.

A little later...

Trey then walks over, "Excuse me, I'd like one of those too."

"All right, here you go!" The vendor says, and gives Try the treat.

"Did you pick up a bandanna, Trey?" Kalim asks.

"Yeah. I've been interested in getting one since I put on this outfit. I like how soft and pretty it is. It'll be a nice reminder of this trip," Trey says.

"They say Silk City has the best fabric in the whole country!" Kalim says

"I kinda don't know what I'll use it for, to be honest," Trey says.

"Just use it for whatever you want," Kalim says.

Trey thinks, "Hmm... I don't think I could pull off wearing this as an everyday thing."

"Really? The headscarf you've got on now looks great on you! If you're not sure how to wrap it, you can always drop by Scarabia," Kalim says.

Trey replies, "Thanks, I appreciate that."

"Jamil will teach you!" Kalim happily says.

Trey exclaims in shock, "You don't wrap yours yourself?!"

And sheepishly says, "I'd hate to give Jamil even more work. I'll make sure to learn how to do it myself."
