In the limo, driving around Silk City, everyone is now heading towards Kalim's home which is far away by walking.

With a smile, Kalim says, "Isn't it nice and cool in the car? Just kick back and relax, guys!"

"Kinda hard to relax when I'm getting the actual VIP treatment. Regular students don't generally travel in fancy cars with a security detail," Trey says.

Everyone continues talking and chatting. Briar turns her head to notice Malleus has been quiet for something.

"Um, Mal, are you okay?" Briar asks, concerned.

Jamil begins to notice and asks, "Is something the matter, Malleus? You've been frowning for a while now. Oh no, have we inadvertently offended you somehow?"

Everyone soon begins to notice Malleus' silence.

"I think it's less of a frown and more like a dazed expression," Trey says.

Then Cater says, "Y'know, he hasn't said a word since we got in the car."

"Yeah. He's been very quiet," Jasper says.

"I hope he's okay," Sereia says.

"He's just been gazing out the window..." Cater says.

Then Trey and Cater begin to grow worried, "Wait... Is he carsick?!"

"What?!" Jamil and Kalim exclaim in shock.

Kalim asks, "Are you okay, Malleus?! Should we stop the car?!"

"Don't panic, Kalim! I've got motion sickness medicine for just this reason," Jamil says.

Briar then asks, "Mal, are you feeling okay?"

Finally Malleus answers, "Cease your fuss. Of course I do not get 'carsick.'" I'm simply taking in the experience of riding in this vehicle."

Everyone is relieved to hear it

"Oh, I see... That's a relief," Jamil replies.

"Yeah, on second thought, Malleus being quiet is pretty standard," Cater says.

That's what we get for jumping to conclusions. Sheesh," Trey says with a sigh.

Then Grim asks, "What'cha lookin' at, Tsunotaro? See something cool?"

"I'm just watching all the scenery go by. After all, this is my first time riding in a car," Malleus says.

Everyone exclaims in shock to hear it, "WHAT?!"

Then Malleus explains, "Briar Valley doesn't have much in the way of motor vehicles. It's faster for us to fly around. I never saw the need to trap myself in a machine that crawls along the ground... But now that I'm in one, it's quite pleasant and spacious. I'm rather enjoying it. If all cars are like this, I can understand why you humans are so fond of them."

"All cars are definitely NOT like this..." Trey says.

"You hit the jackpot with your first drive being in a super-swank ride like this!" Cater says.

"Now that you've mentioned it, I think I remember not seeing many cars in Briar Valley," Briar says.

"You probably don't fully remember much because you were still young at the time, but yes. There isn't a need for vehicles. You certainly enjoyed me crying you and flying to places very fast in the past," Malleus says.

Briar blushes in response, "You don't say..."

"Are you okay, Briar? Your face is turning red?" Sereia asks.

"I was startin' to worry we'd be out in that heat the whole time!" Grim says.

"Luckily Kalim hooked us up with this sweet air-conditioned car," Cater says.

Trey also notices, "Is it just me, or is the AC a little strong?"

"Ya think so? It's perfect for me," Grim says.

"That's because you're all warm and fuzzy, Grimmy," Cater says.

"Cater is right. You're covered in fur," Sereia says.

"People here tend to keep the AC blowing strong since it's so hot outside," Kalim answers.

Then Jamil says, "The sharp change in temperature can make people feel ill sometimes. Looks like it was too cold for you."

Then Malleus asks, "Shall I conjure a fire to warm you, then?"

Everyone turns to Malleus with questionable expressions.

Kalim laughs, "Ahaha! Good one, Malleus!"

"...I can never tell when Malleus is joking around," Trey says.

"That just made me break out in a cold sweat! Now I'm really feeling the chill," Cater says.

"I'll ask the driver to turn up the temperature a bit. One moment," Jamil says.

Jamil asks the driver to turn up the temperature a bit, and the driver does just that.

Trey sighs in relief, "Whew, that's much better. Thanks, Jamil."
