Stolen

She had 2 weeks left before she moved, and Soryu was fully aware of this.

Despite acting irritated about her presence, the man certainly felt strange and heavy about the news of her marriage and move. He didn't want her to go.

Today, she was in the lounge reading a book, ignoring Baba and Ota's attempted teasing and chats. Eisuke and Soryu themselves were making snide remarks about the three while Mamoru muttered something about them being kids.

"Can you shut the hell up please? I'm trying to read." after a full 15 minutes, she had gotten agitated and commanded them to stop, which of course, only made them tease her more.

"Come on... You're no fair, Yumiko! Can you read us the book? Then we'll be quiet." Ota grins.

"I feel sorry for you, Kisaki... Don't even know how to read..." she mutters in reply quietly, her eyes scanning over the page quickly before flicking to the next one.

"Ouch..." "Haha! You just got told, Ota!" Baba laughs at Ota's comment.

"Hey! Don't laugh at me!" the artist pouts, when the door suddenly bursts open.

"Yukio?!"

Yumiko was surprised to see her brother 2 weeks early. "You are way too early... What are you doing here?" she questions.

"I finished the mission with Camilla's help." he replies, stepping aside to reveal a vibrant young brunette, who was smirking devilishly at Yumiko. The assassin could only glare at the woman.

"Oh... That's her name. See, Yuki? I was right!" Yumiko smiles in victory and her brother ruffles her hair, placing his suitcases down.

"Good to see you too, Yumi." the woman grins. "Tch, don't call me that."

"Why not? We are cousins after all! Say, have you got a boyfriend yet?" she smirks.

"Sorry, but what about you? How many pants have you gotten in since last year?" she retorts and the bidders could almost see the sparks between them.

"Alright, back it up... Calm down, alright?" Yukio sighs, tugging on Yumiko's arm. "What is she doing here anyway?"

"Well, she was sent here for a mission and I thought just why not help her find a place to stay?" Yukio answers, glancing over to their cousin.

"Tch," Yumiko clicks her tongue again. "She can find a place to stay herself. I'm pretty sure that the men she's going to sleep with for the next week will be happy to lend her a hand."

"Pfft..." Ota and Baba snicker, Yumiko could also notice smirks creeping onto the other three's mouths.

"Yumiko, tone it down. It was a long time ago." Yukio warns.

"A long time ago?! She freaking stole and slept with my best friend from Brazil!" she wails. "And it was only 3 months ago!"

"No hard feelings!" Camilla laughs heartily and Yumiko snaps her head away.

"Ya' know what? I'm out of here. I'm going to go to the library." she growls, grabbing her jacket before turning to Soryu. "You tagging along, Dragon?" she questions.

The man quietly nods and the others watch as the two leave together, a dangerous smirk on Camilla's lips.

"So... Are those two dating?" the brunette asks when the two are out of earshot.

"Well, you would suppose. But no." Eisuke chuckles.

"But!" Baba interferes. "They might like each other! They just won't admit it!"

"They like each other? Yumiko likes him?!" Camilla grins happily.

"Pretty much, and vice versa." Ota shrugs.

"Interesting..."

"So... Who was that?" the mobster asks Yumiko as they exit the hotel. "My cousin, Camilla. She's Japanese and American. She lives in Brazil though."

"She seems like she hates you... Or you hate her."

"Pretty much. She used to steal everything from me as a kid. She stole my friends, toys... She even tried stealing Yukio from me once." she replied.

"What's with that?"

"I don't know really. She just wants everything I have... Even the people who like me and the people I like. She tried stealing Yukio's first kiss and virginity one time when we were teens." Yumiko inquires bitterly.

Soryu's cheeks burned slightly but he managed to ask the question. "Did he...?"

"Nah, we kept a promise to save it for marriage or something." she shook her head with a sigh of relief. "The girl hates me for some reason, she once even tried to shoot me in the head."

"Crazy..." "You're right on that one. Girl's a psychotic bitch." Yumiko nods as they finally reach the library, entering it.

"So... How was your visit to..." "Not bad... He managed to give me a wedding dance before he left."

Yumiko turned away and Soryu decided to no longer poke the topic as they both grabbed a book and sat down on the couch in front of the fireplace like they did on their first visit.

The time marches on and the two found themselves reading until the sun set. It was soon 5:00 until they finally decided to head back.

They were in the lobby, silently acknowledging each other's presence as they entered the elevator. "I've got a few more books in my room. Wanna read them on the roof?" Yumiko suggests, still finding the urge to read.

The mafia prince nods as the elevator stops. "I'll be right back, just wait here." Yumiko smiles as she gestures to the lounge. The mobster sat by the couch as he waited for the assassin and he could hear the rest of the group approaching from down the hall, their footsteps echoing.

He was fine until a head of brown hair popped up before him. "Hi Soryu!" Camilla greets, sitting beside him.

"Camilla." he greets in reply curtly. He was a bit suspicious of the wide grin on her face as he turns away.

"Soryu! I got the books, I have some few I think you might like!" Yumiko's voice comes down from her room and the two could hear her pitter-patter of light footsteps.

"I've got a few here about-" she enters the lounge just as the door to it opens to reveal her brother and the rest of the bidders.

But Camilla's timing couldn't be anymore right as she grabs Soryu's shoulder, her other hand pinning his down. She pulls him in for a kiss, which she successfully steals.

A thud was heard as Yumiko dropped the books in her hand and everything was dead silent from the bidders and Yukio.

"It appears I've interrupted something." she mutters, deflated. "I'll be going."

She forgets about her dropped books and disappears from the lounge as she pushed past the bidders, leaving down the hall. "Hey! Wait up!" Soryu tries to call after her but she was too fast and he heard the elevator leaving.

Perhaps Yukio wanted to see what he wanted to see, or maybe he really did get the wrong idea. But the male glared at the mobster as he growled, "I never should've trusted you." before disappearing as well, chasing after his sister.

Soryu pushes away Camilla, who was clinging onto him like a koala, grinning happily. "Disgusting." he mutters as he shoves his hands into his pockets.

"But you didn't push me away-" Camilla tried to teasingly argue with the mobster but she was cut off as he disappeared into his suite with Yumiko's books, the door slamming shut behind him.

Meanwhile, Yumiko was desperate to get the image out of her mind as she ran as far from the hotel as possible, her legs giving out soon after as she collapsed onto a park bench.

She quietly let her tears drop as her heavy breaths were the only thing heard in the almost isolated park. She was about start sobbing when a familiar group of voices called to her.

"Yumiko?!"

She lifted her head to see the Seasonelle gang approaching her in their casual wear. She hurriedly wiped away her tears and masked it with a smile.

"Hey guys!" she squeezed out. "What are you doing here?" Emiko questions as she tugs her up from the seat.

"Just thought I'd take a walk, what about you guys?"

"Well, it was early spring and the ground was starting to clear so we thought we'd hang out here as a group. Ya' know? To get to know each other a bit more since we're so busy." Shusei replies.

"Oh... That's good. Can I join you?"

"Sure! To us, you are still part of the team, after all." Chiaki smiles.

"Sure. Let's go." Yumiko replies and the group began walking off, chatting with each other. Yumiko tailed behind, taking deep breaths to hold in her tears that threatened to leave again.

'Every time, everyone leaves... Stolen again, huh?'
