When Clubs Died
Sry folks! We're in the past.
29 was dusting off some of his badges and sighed. 19 had locked them in here without anyone's consent for three months now, and everyone was in denial, yet had their own ways of coping. 21 tried exploring the cave, 22 overslept for hours, 23 kept on filling up his confidence, 24 raced around with 28, 25 just drew squares with whatever she could find, 26 just hoped, and 27 kept on splitting herself apart just to fill any voids they might have. 29 himself didn't really have a way to cope, he just went with whatever made him feel better.
19: Hi.
19 was just behind 29 in the moment, and she saw how odd he acted during the months they spent down here. Well, compared to the others at least.
29: Hey. I'm fine.
19: We both know that's a lie...
They sat down in silence, at least until 19 spoke.
19: I'm sorry.
29: Huh?
19: I'm sorry... for trapping you all here.
29: ...why apologize now?
19: I feel like I have to explain what I've done.
29: ...Alright, I'll listen.
19: It started the day before you all woke up here.
29: Really?
19: Yeah.
Flashback (With 19 & 29 narration)
19: We were all hanging out, thinking about numbers greater than thirty, and honestly everything was great.
Past 14: ...Where's Thirteen?
Past 17: Maybe he's at that job of his.
Past 14: Hopefully.
19: That job 17 mentioned was M.I. 15. He figured 13 would be there, since 26 and 15 were absent too. But then...
Past 15: Fourteen? Seventeen?
Past 17: Yeah?
Past 15: Have you seen Thirteen? I want to ask him something.
Past 14: No, he was supposed to meet me here right now.
Past 15: Strange. Despite his unluckiness, he's never late.
Past 14: Really Dudette? That doesn't explain a lot, but it's pretty concerning.
Past 15: Agreed, maybe we should-
Past 13: AAAAAAHHH!
19: Without warning, 13 rushed to the field, clutching his head and desperately trying to stay away from others. He appeared to have something's growing out of his eye. He collapsed before he uttered his last words
Past 13: R-RUN! It's...c-coming.
19: And just like that, 13 was presumed dead. And 15 screamed for the first time in Numberblock history.
29: That must've felt weird.
19: Oh Believe me, it was.
Past 14: Oh my Wheels!
Past 15: What's going on?!
19: As if time itself stopped, a creature made of shadows was biting down on a numberling. The numberling of Zero.
Past ???: Such a delectable land. I will put myself in you all...
19: As he spoke, 0 fell from his mouth and disappeared in a bloody smoke.
Past 17: Dear Infinity...
Past 19: What the...
19: No one could predict that as soon as the creature smiled, hordes of dog-like shadows ambushed us all. Anyone bitten by them began morphing into different forms before becoming feral. I was nearly bitten when Twenty saved me.
Past 20: I got ya.
Past 19: Thank you. Wait, where are the other roaring twenties?
Past 20: They're sleeping.
19: the dogs were trying to climb the building we were on. What happened next lead up to this moment.
Past 20: Nineteen, I need you to gather everyone that wasn't bitten, and bring them far from here.
Past 19: But to where?
Past 20: The mountain. I doubt those dogs are strong enough to bare the cold.
Past 19: ...Alright.
19: It just so happened that y'all and 15 were safe. 15 investigated before y'all woke up, and she never came back.
29: Jeez... that's why?
19: Yeah.
29: Wait, but why tell me now?
19: Because, I'm letting you leave.
29: Just like that?
19: I've looked, and it's safer than before. The dogs are gone, and the numberblocks seem less feral.
29: Nineteen...
They both hugged.
29: Thank you.
19: Hey, We're the last Nine Enders, we need our piece of hope.
Happier than he had ever been, 29 left the room with 19, smiling. However, they were unaware that 26 was listening to the whole thing, distraught to everything he heard.
26: That...Lucky son of a- sigh.
He looked in the direction that Nineteen and Twenty-Nine, and accepted whatever fate will come.
26: Why does everything I love die out? At least I still have Twenty-Five... I should do something to keep everyone else from dying.
And that night, when 29 left, he pondered about his next action. The next morning, everyone was called to the main room. 26 would've not been late had 22 not slept in.
26: C'mon, wake up.
22: ...five more minutes....
26: We don't have five minutes, the world will end in one.
22: ...WAIT WHAT?
26: There you go, now everyone's in the main room. Hurry or I'll rip you apart.
22: SIR YES SIR!
22 ran as if his life depended on it. 26 smiled at the soccer player for a different reason: knowing he had greater chances then he did.
19: Good thing you're all here, I have bad news.
They were expecting the news to be good for them.
19: Twenty-Nine is dead.
They were wrong.
25: What?!
26: How?!
19: Last night, he managed to escape. I tried to get him to come back, but then... then...
19 struggled to speak, though it sounded somewhat fake. 26 then had a realization.
19: H-He was attacked. By a c-creature of the shadows...They both fell off a cliff and...
She began to cry, when some of the survivors began to comfort her, 26 was shocked at what she said, and what he thought she meant. He knew... that she must've been responsible for 29's death, or he's alive, and she just put a "traitor" poster on him if he does return.

Present Day.
Halfway to the village now, everyone took a break to rest before they eventually meet everyone. 26 was behind everyone else and fell on the snow. He then felt a sharp object on his arm, barely piercing it. He first looked at his now bleeding arm, then he picked up the object to see that it was a knife. He looked at it for a while, thinking.
25: Twenty-Six, ya coming?
26: Uh, Yeah! I'll catch up!
26 hid the knife with him, and followed the group to 3's, 6's, and 5's hometown.
