25: Twenty-Two!

22: Augh! *Falls of the bed* IM UP!

25: No, you're down. Now let me help you get up.

22: Alright, fine.

25: *pulls 22 up from the floor* Now C'mon. 19 just got back with breakfast.

The two composite numbers went over to the rest of the numberblocks in the cave, where 19 was giving out fruit and water.

19: And this is for you, *gives square apples to 27* and for you, *gives water to 24* and for you, *gives an tangerine to 22*

22: Thanks, *peels the tangerine and eats some of the slices.*

Nearby, 27 and 28 are discussing something unknown. This peaks 22's interest, but he is quickly stopped by 23.

23: 22, we have to talk.

22: Is it about 29?

23: N-no. It's about...the outside.

22: Alright, explain.

23: S-so, me and the others are planning to finally escape tomorrow night. We have the whole thing planned out, but there's one problem. *looks at 19*

22: ...Her? You know she's the only survivor of the teens. Heck, she's the survivor of every Numberblock under 20! And don't forget we haven't a clue where 30 and the rest went. All we know is that something happened to them that changed them. She's loyal to all of us!

23: I know, I know. Heck, I'm happy being unchanged me, but she's the only one in charge since 20 went missing. So she's the only one preventing us from leaving.

22: So 26 doesn't count?

23: Of course he counts! He's in the plan with the rest of us. We just needed you and 21 to help us out.

22: ...I'll consider it.

23: 22-

22: I SAID I'LL CONSIDER IT!

23: ...alright... *runs away*

22 takes a moment to think about this. He had just scared away one of his friends, but he knew it will mend in time. The only problem is; will it mend quick enough? Just let him accept it. He finished his tangerine and decided to take a quick nap.

23's POV

Wow. I knew 22 has been a bit off, but not by this much. At least it wasn't just a no. I walk over to 24 to tell her how it went.

24: No luck?

23: It's getting somewhere, but he might not help us. Did you get 21?

24: Yup. Easy as pie.

Lucky her then. 21 loved to explore the unknown back then, so of course she'll agree.

No POV

19 was pushing the Boulder in place when 26 came up and helped her out.

19: Are they all ok?

26: that's a 10-4.

19: Alright, thank you 26. I don't want any of them to see what's happened to the others. *sits down* Ya know, you're the only I can trust with what I'm about to say. Are you ready for it?

26: Y-yes ma'am.

19: ...I think one of the others are still alive.

26: Wait, seriously?

19: Yep. Earlier today I swore I saw something fall down the mountain side. It didn't look like Big Tum, so I can only assume it's a Numberblock. I would tell the others, but then they would probably try to escape. Please don't tell anyone else, okay?

26: *slightly sweating* Yes Ma'am.

19: Alright. It was nice talking to you.

19 leaves, leaving 26 in doubt. Considering that they were already planning to escape, this was surprisingly relieving for him. He walks away, still wanting to keep a part of that promise he made.

Meanwhile, 22 was trying to sleep, still thinking about the plan. Tired, he let himself drift off to sleep.

22's Dream

He woke up in some sort of garden bed. The specific one he was in was filled with roses that were poking him. He got up and looked around to see 11 holding a flower. She didn't look normal, but instead she looked like she lost something, but 22 didn't know what.

She dropped the flower and squished it with her foot, before looking at 22.

11: ...Im still alive.

22: ...you are?

11: *nods* please, join them.

Suddenly, vines come and block 11 from 22's sight, pushing him away before he feels a sharp sting. He looks down to see a sharp object penetrating his blocks somehow. Suddenly, everything blacks out.

Dream's Over

25 and 27 stare at the wet 22, with 27 holding a pail. As 22 jumps up, 27 hides said pail and whistles. 22 looks at the square and cube, annoyed.

22: What was THAT for?

27: Maybe don't stay asleep until 4 PM THE NEXT DAY!

22: ...Was I seriously out for that long?

25: Yep. Now you know why I keep on waking you up?

22: I guess so.

27: Well, you've had time to think your decision over, so what will it be?

22: What de- Oh right.

22 decided to think for a moment, he knew whatever he said would have an impact, so he wanted to choose carefully. "Find us" 11's words echoed into his head, so he finally said:

"Yes."
