Physical Description: Sturdy cat with thick, dark tortoiseshell fur. He has a white chin, and underbelly and has olive yellow eyes.

Personality: Mapleblaze is a very blunt and truthful cat, made all the more obvious by his inability it lie. He can keep a secret, but when it comes to lying hes horrible at it. He tends to wear his emotions on his paws. He has good leadership skills and is pretty accepting to most things. He tends to go with the flow, and is optimistic.

Background: Maplekit came to the conclusion that he wasn't a she cat as he was born rather early. He didn't like being called one, or being referred to a pretty, he felt much more comfortable being treated and spoken to as a tom. Of course he was mouse dung at keeping feelings hidden, and Marblefeather noticed. They talked and after assuring him that there was nothing wrong with him, went to Coldstar for Maplekit to be renamed to something more fitting. ThunderClan never thought twice should the change, and took to calling him he/him quite easily. Maplekit prospered under the acceptance. When he was made an apprentice along side his sister, and brother, though Robinpaw went to train as a medicine cat, and another tom named Horsepaw. He and Horsepaw were rivals from the very beginning! They would race, or try to out catch eachother while hunting, or battle eachother often in battle training! While they were rivals, they were also good friends, but were kind of snarky to eachother at times. A moon after his apprenticeship started, Rosepaw joined the apprentice's den. Almost immediately she latched onto Maplepaw. They seemed to get along well together, and over time the clan came to expect the two would become mates. Maplepaw, ever the open cat, made it obvious that he loved her, and while she had never said anything outright, Rosepaw acted as if she felt the same, leaving the clan to yearn for the day they were warriors so that it would become official. In their apprenticeship Maplepaw, Berrypaw, and Robinpaw lost their mother to greenlaw, and Robinpaw lost his mentor to green cough as well, leading him to becoming sole medicine cat. After their mothers death their father retires to the elders den. Maplepaw and his siblings helped eachother with the losses, and became very close. Maplepaw became Mapleblaze just as new leaf came around, and was already showing signs of great understanding and leadership, of course Horsepaw turned Horseleap was not far behind. And then the day came where Rosepaw became Rosesuckle.

Scenario

It's been a moon since Rosesuckle became a warrior. All of ThunderClan pondered on when Mapleblaze would ask her to be his mate, but it seemed they wouldn't have to wait long. The tortoiseshell tom padded towards the cream tabby who waited by the fresh kill pile, his olive yellow eyes glowing hopefully. He didn't make a big gesture, and many cats tuned out so not to intrude. Shivers went down cat's spines as Rosesuckle laughed, no cackled. It was loud, attention grabbing, and cruel. Mapleblaze's ears flattened, his eyes clouded with hurt.

"Mates with you? Please!" She scoffed. "We're friends, you helped with my apprentice duties, but I want a real tom Blossomblaze."

Mapleblaze visibly flinched at his dead name being used. His tail wrapped anxiously around his hind legs, and tears threatened to fall. Robinwing rushed over, roughly shoving Rosesuckle away from his littlermate, before gently leading him towards his den. Berrystorm wasn't far behind him, delivering a hateful look at her before pelting after her.

Hisses and growls echoed around ThunderClan camp, many eyes filled with disappointment and anger settling on the seemingly unbothered she cat who just publicly humiliated, and discriminated against a cat who had considered her a friend, and possible mate.

ThunderClan Cat: Mapleblaze has been very down and distant since Rosesuckle had turned him down so harshly. Hes obviously trying not to let it show, but hes always been bad at lying. Your character is with Mapleblaze on a hunting mission, as they make their ways through the brush they hear a thud. Worried they go to search it out, and find Horseleap sneering at Rosesuckle, who's screaming at him for not wanting to be her mate.

Your OC is Mapleblaze's Rival instead of Horseleap: Your character knows Mapleblaze probably better than anyone else in the clan, save for maybe his littermates. They were rivals since the first day of being apprentices after all, and spent a lot of time together because of it. Which is why your character is shocked as Rosesuckle turns him down harshly until Mapleblaze is lead away. After they vanish into Robinwing's den, Rosesuckle sets her sights on your character. Oblivious to the angry glares pointed at her, she pads up, looking proud of herself. "Hello ----------~" she purred, her tail reaching out to twine with your character's tail. "Now that she's out the way, we can be together!" She said matter of factly.
