"Manik!" Mukti cried out my name while I was covering my face with a textbook. "What the hell Manik? What are you even trying to do? What are these hide and seek games for?"

"Oh Thank God it's you." I said, taking a sigh of relief.

"Who were you expecting?" She Questioned.

"No..No one. I was just.." I literally had no answer. How could I just tell her that I was trying to be friends with that hitler? I just couldn't. "Answer me Manik? What is wrong with you?" Her questions were not ending and just then I saw her..Nandini. She was hiding behind the door and hearing our conversation. Damn! I said under my breathe and she silently laughed. She was really enjoying all of this. "For God sake Manik, Speak up and wait a minute.. why are you making such weird expressions? Who is at my back?" Mukti gave confusing looks as she immediately turned back to see who I was looking at and I just stood there, face palming myself. "Hi." Nandini waved her a hello flashing her teeth. "Why are you wasting your time here Mukti? Let's go na. Everyone w is waiting for us na." I didn't let her complete the word and dragged mukti away from there. While I was walking away, I turned to see what was the reaction on her face and to my surprise, she was still laughing. Really now? What was so funny? I rolled my eyes and she kept on laughing.

Cool, han. You yourself asked me to become your friend and now you're behaving like a nayi naveli dulhan who can't even look at her saiyaan ji? My eyes widened reading this text message from her. Didn't she told me to keep this a secret? Then why is she doing this? Oh wait..maybe she is loving this tensed face of mine. Great, Just..Great.

"Nandini!" Sanaya called her out.
"Whoa whoa! You look so excited? All good?" She asked.
"Holi party tomorrow. At the college!" And there it was, a huge smile on her face.

"Holy Party? But What about the girl you were searching for?"

"Oh. That girl.. The Holy Party actually brought surprises, shocks and laughter along with it!" I sighed.

"What happened that day?"

I was heading towards the college ground when suddenly I bumped into someone. "Oh freak!" She screamed as she fell down onto the floor.

Enters Myra.

"What the hell man? Don't you have eyes?" She began screaming at me or should I say, scolding me? Oh no! You.. You fuckin broke my phone!"

Damn, Manik!

"Okay..Chill. How much? How much did this phone cost? I will pay you right now!" I said as I took out my wallet.

"Oh no no no. Wait. I don't really have time for this and you really think I'm such a fool? Buy me the same phone. I don't want your money and oh, I'm already very late. Are you new in this college?" She questioned hurriedly picking up her stuff.

"I should be the one asking you this, no?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No. I'm in this college from the Start. Was just out for a vacation with family but now I'm back so listen, I gotta run now. You just do one thing, enjoy holi today and get me the same phone tomorrow. Yeah?" And saying this, she ran away towards the parking ground.

"Oh hey wait!" I called her.

"Now what?" She said as she turned.

"How will I reach you? What is your name!?"

"Myra Murthy."

Murthy!?

And that was it. My eyes popped out of their sockets. Finally! I took a deep breath realizing that it was her. I finally met the girl I was searching for like a mad person. Murthy.. that's her.

I took out my cellphone from my pocket to dial cabir's number.

"Manikkkk!!!!! Where is my bestfriend Manik?" What the fuck? I heard this announcement and the voice.. it was very familiar. Nandini...Damn. This is Nandini. What is this girl upto now? I immediately ran outside to see what actually was happening and to my utter surprise, I saw her standing onto the table with a scarf tied on her head and her slippers fitted into her hands. Yes, slippers in her hands. "What is happening here?" I questioned Cabir, who looked equally confused and scared.

"What the hell have you done to my friend?" Sanaya held me by my collar and literally scared the shit out of me. "Your friend?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Nandini. My friend." She shot back angrily. "Excushhhh-me?" Nandini cried out loud, in a kiddish tone, "How dare you speak to my bestfriend like that?" She angrily questioned Sanaya. "He is your bestfriend?" She laughed. "Yes. We are bffs. Forever and ever!" She said, flashing her teeth at me. "NO!" I interrupted, "We're not best friends, Nandini." I gave her a deadly look. "Hawww!" She cried as her lips formed a sad pout. "I'm not your bestfriend?" She questioned sadly, in a low voice. "No." I answered immediately. "Fine then," Saying that, she got down from the table, sat near the corner of the pool and started crying out loud. "Oh God Nandini! What is wrong with you?" Sanaya tried her level best to get her attention but she kept on saying only one thing, "I just don't wanna live anymore. I have no one in this world. My best friend disowned me infront of the whole college. I have nothing left now. I will jump into this and die..I will jump now." I rolled my eyes and cursed the moment I offered her to be my friend. "I will jum-

"Go jump na then. Bol he kyun rahi ho? Jao na? Go jump. Kill yourself. Actually you know what? Wait, I'll help you." I held her by her hand to push her into the water. "Infact you know what? You want to kill yourself na? Then let me tell you itney se paani me tumhara kuchnai hoga. Come..Come na..Come with me I'll get you poison." Every single person present there was looking at me with their eyes wide open. "You want to kill me na? Now I will tell the truth to everyone. I will scream out loud and tell this to the entire world." She warned me. Like, literally warned me and I was standing there, wondering which truth is she talking about? "What are you gonna tell to everybody?" I asked in a low voice. "That you are a zombie." She whispered into my ear. "Are you drunk nandini?" I asked, in a voice laced with anger and hearing this, she pushed me away, kept both her hands on her cheek and cried out loud, "Don't you know? Nandini Mehta doesn't drink?"

"Nandini, babe, you are not in your senses right now. Get a grip on yourself. Come, I'll take you home?" Sanaya said, helding her shoulder. "NO! I will not come with you. I will go with my bestfriend." She was really becoming hard to handle now. "Stop this shit nandini. Are you nuts!??" I shouted.

"Nuts?? Where are nuts?? I love nuts!!" For a moment, i really wanted to punch her in the face.

"What happened then?"

"What could have happened? She refused to go with anyone so I had to take her home."  I smiled remembering her face.

"How was that girl connected to all this?"

My eyes turned red as I heard this question. I looked up at him and said in a strict tone, "Nandini. She got a name. Don't you dare call her 'that girl' one more time. Just don't."

Aoa! A big big big revelation coming in the next chapter. I know you guys must be wondering where exactly manik is? Who is he telling his story to? Where is nandini? Why is she not with him?

Well.. i'd just say, your confusion will be solved soon bec I have to make space for some more mysteries and for that, the old ones need to be cleared first ;)
