Chapter 4
"Young Master, it's time to wake up,"
The bright Sunlight filled the room. Slowly opening his blue eyes, Ciel sat up. In front of him his demon butler Sebastian approached carrying a tray of food and tea.
"Nothing is scheduled for today, therefore I suggest We place your studies as top priority."
"It doesn't matter, that can wait," Ciel responded. He climbed out of bed, knocking the tray of food down as he did so.
Ignoring the mess and the questioning look of the demon, Ciel approached the window and stared down below at the ruins of England.
Currently, Ciel was staying at an unknown Manor, having arrived that night. The desire to return to his own family manor had resulted in the discovery of a truth so dark, it had to be out of a nightmare; the world had crumbled.
Fingering the blue ring on his thumb, Ciel turned to Sebastian. "Its true...the vampires have..." he quieted, clenching his fists tight.
"I want those things dead," he muttered. "All of them!" He shouted. "They killed my Family! I'll make them pay!"
A smile played on Sebastian's lips, "That is your wish, is it not? I shall grant your wish and in return, Your soul will be devoured."
Ciel relaxed, allowing His hands to stay at his side as he eyed the outside where the crumbling world below cast a grey and dead atmosphere.

Cold, and alone, Elizabeth's grip tightened against the steel hilts of the swords at her side.
The world was different, she was aware of this. She shut her eyes and listened to the approaching steps. Despite being ten and almost eleven years old, She knew what she had to do.
Without hesitation, She lurched out of her hiding spot and shoved her sword deep into the man in white's chest.
His dark red eyes opened wide as he turned to ash and Elizabeth only had a moment to attack the vampire beside him.
He blocked, throwing her aside and thrusting his sword at her. Putting her own sword up for defense, her second sword came and pierced his waist, injuring him badly.
The vampire leaped back breathing heavily as he stared at her in utter hatred.
"Stupid livestock! How dare you!" he roared.
With fire in her eyes, She ran forwards undaunted and ready. Knocking his sword aside and Stabbing him through the chest, She quickly darted away, hiding once again to regain her breath.
She closed her eyes and envisioned her mother, standing tall and proud as she beamed down at her daughter.
"One day, you'll use these skills. You'll be a fine swordswoman," her mother said.
Elizabeth remembered herself hating those lessons, but now, she silently prayed a thank you to her mother as she opened her eyes.
She listened intensely for more of the footsteps and heard the crying of children.
"Shut up livestock,"
The children quieted but only after a shriek was heard.
Elizabeth launched herself out of her hiding spot to witness a vampire with his mouth on a little girl. Wasting no time, She stabbed the vampire in front of her who was reaching for his sword and made her way towards the drinking vampire in lightning speed.
By the time he pushed the girl away and held his sword out, Elizabeth had already plunged her sword through his neck, spilling his blood.
The children let out a blood curling scream as they took off running.
Elizabeth tried to calm her heart as she looked down at the blood that stained her favorite dress. It was ripped and unrecognizable. She could only guess at the state her usually curled pigtails were in.
"I'll find you," She murmured, glancing up at the sky, her eyes filled with worry. "I swear I'll find you Ciel. I know you're out there so please...wait for me."
