Chapter 15
Returning to Sanguinem, Sebastian smiled to himself as he glanced around the area. His order was to kill the children but he couldn't just attack at random, he had to be strategic.
He knew where the vampires gathered and stored blood and decided the best course of action would be to attack that place first and work his way out.
Walking past the homes of the human livestock he reached the building and stepped inside.
Upon entering, he was greeted with the presence of two vampires who turned to face him.
Glancing around, Sebastian quickly counted thirty children all hooked to the machines and drawing blood.
Wordlessly, Sebastian slipped a pair of knives into his palms and infused them with his demonic aura, lurching forwards and cutting both vampires necks before they could even react.
One of the children screamed as the vampires turned to ash while Sebastian proceeded to toss his knives into the air. With precise precision the knives sliced through the machines wires.
Instantly the children attempted to flee, unhooking themselves from the machines and running away. Some chose to hide while the others raced towards him in the hopes of passing him.
Without another thought, knives were flung as Sebastian took a blade and sliced each child by their throat.
A moment later, there was silence as the heavy scent of blood filled the room.
Sebastian sighed heavily. He was a demon, therefore killing children didn't bother him all in the slightest. What did bother him was the prospect of all the wasted souls that could've proven to be a decent meal for other demons.
As he thought this, his senses tingled and he frowned.
"Ah, another demon..." He muttered, furrowing his brow. As he feared, the presence of another demon could prove to be a hindrance.
Sebastian stepped over the lifeless children, aware of the oncoming footsteps. The scent of blood naturally drew vampires like moths to a flame. And, like moths, when they entered the room they were greeted with a face full of fire and knives slicing their throats.
As the vampires bodies turned to ash, Sebastian stepped out and adjusted his clothing. More vampires approached, these ones being more prepared.
"Stop! How dare you kill the livestock?! Do you know of the consequences?!" One shouted, his sword out in front of him.
Unable to resist, a smile curled onto Sebastian's lips, "Why actually, I don't know of the consequences. Please do tell me what you're going to do about this?" he said in a mocking tone.
The vampires rushed all at once. Their efforts were in vain for Sebastian easily overpowered them, his knives slicing through their flesh effortlessly. More vampires swarmed him and Sebastian took this as his cue to leave.
Leaping into the air Sebastian threw a handful of knives before landing on top of the resemblance of a house. Immediately he felt the all too familiar presence of the other demon, which was much closer to him than he thought.
Glancing behind, his eyes traveled to the outside of a large mansion where he saw the demon. With a chuckle, he decided to approach.
"What brings you here?" He questioned, appearing at the demon's side in an instant.
The demon turned and gave him a look of distain, her dark lilac eyes glaring at him coldly. "So it's you," she muttered before her gaze flickered down.
Sebastian followed her gaze, "Ah, miss Naka," he murmured, becoming instantly mesmerized by the cat's tail.
The cat in question licked her paw before meowing loudly.
"I was summoned here," The female demon said snapping Sebastian's attention away from the cat. "What about you?"
"I will be taking my leave," He answered, sensing the approaching vampires.
"I do hope we don't become enemies in the future," he commented, giving her a smirk.
"Indeed, it would be a terrible loss of pride for you should we battle." She retorted.
Sebastian merely chuckled before turning and setting fire to the approaching vampires, vanishing soon afterwards.
